This series is so good! I wish it was longer.
The main characters are very likable and are strong. I love a story with strong women.

I can’t wait to read more by this author.

Truth be told by Kendra Elliott.
Rogue justice novella.
A torrential two-day storm has cut off the small town of Solitude, Oregon, from the outside world. But for police officers Stevie Duncan and her husband, Zane, the ravages of nature have nothing on the nature of man. In the last forty-eight hours, a child was a mute witness to a double homicide; an unidentified body has washed up on the riverbanks; and now, at the foot of a submerged bridge, two FBI agents have been found shot to death inside their SUV. What’s worse, the young charge they were enlisted to protect has gone missing.
With the only exit out of town washed away, Stevie and Zane know that the murderer is trapped. But whatever’s going on in Solitude is far from over—because as sure as the receding water, the killer is going to resurface.
A really enjoyable read. Loved the shooting scene by the cabins. Stevie and Zane were my favourite. 5*.

One of my favorite towns and some of my favorite characters reside in Solitude Oregon so I dived into TRUTH BE TOLD with delight. And I wasn't disappointed in the least. While I don't recommend reading this novella all on its own as there isn't a lot of character development, it is perfect those of us that have already had the pleasure of meeting the residents in earlier books. Ms Elliot packs a lot of tension and personality into a few pages.

I do believe that any of my readers that have been following the goings on in Solitude will very much enjoy this novella. It will give you the opportunity to catch up on your favorites and meet a few more.

I received this book at no charge from NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions expressed within this review are my own.

Both Stevie and Zane are well written. I enjoyed reading about them in Truth Be Told, and the crazy environment they are thrust into is icing on the cake. A stormy yet somehow peaceful town in which hides a criminal with unknown intentions. Truth Be Told is an ending that ties it all up all the loose ends in a neat little bow. What a terrific wrap-up to the Rogue Justice novellas. A must-read series for any fan of Kendra or Melinda.

Truth be Told is part two of the Rogue Justice series which is actually a complete standalone book that happens to just continue an existing storyline that started with Twisted Truth. Initially, when I first started this duology it was kind of confusing. For one, the world-building has already been set up in previous books (all part of the Rogue River series) and of course the characters have already been established as well. Another thing was this series was written by two authors who each take a different set of characters but continue an existing plot line for the duration of each series installment. Therefore different perspective for one mystery plot plus four characters who share secondary characters. But, this series is really good. In Truth be Told, the mystery in the first book (although kind of solved) is continued this time with Stevie and Zane as the lead and different murder being solved. It can be read as a standalone but for a better reading experience the first book really needs to be read first. Here the mystery gets deeper, there are more villains identified and a lot more confusion on who the real culprit happens to be. Its still a nail biter but this one is a bit more character oriented. It definitely gives a great ending to the mystery that started in Twisted Truth. Again can't wait for more from this series

This is the second book in the Rogue Justice series, the first one was written by Melinda Leigh. Another suspenseful, on the edge of your seat story by this great writing team. If you love suspense, you will love this series. Keep them coming, I can't wait to see what you two come up with next!!!

This is the concluding book in the Rogue Justice series about one missing little boy, a murdered wife and a missing $10 million, which started in Twisted Truth by Melinda Leigh. We follow police officers Zane and Stevie Duncan, a husband and wife team, as they come across the bodies of two FBI agents who were supposed to escorting Liam, the boy found chained in the basement in Twisted Truth to safety. Instead, he is once again missing along with his uncle. But their small town is now complete cut off from the world by the storm coming in, meaning the murderer is still somewhere in town, and no one knows where he may strike next.

I wrote in the blurb that this was the concluding instalment of this series, I am actually not sure if that is true and if Melinda Leigh and Kendra Elliot are going to do more in this series. However, I can assure you that this was the concluding part in this particular story arc. I hope Elliot and Leigh do release more books in this series as I really enjoyed it. I said in my previous review that it felt as if these were characters that Leigh had written about before and I was right. Both Elliot and Leigh have collaborated on a series before, with the same characters, and I plan on giving it a try. If anyone else is interested, check out these series: Rogue River, Rogue Winter and Rogue Vows.

The action really kicks up in this book as the town is now completely isolated from any help. They just have small police force to not only keep the town under control in harsh conditions, but also to try and track down a murderer and save Liam. Stevie and Zane were new characters for me and I loved the strong sense of competence and compassion I got from each of them, they were a great couple. The story also kept you guessing as a few new elements were thrown in to keep us readers, and Zane and Stevie, on our toes.

A good mystery/thriller that kept me interested and engaged with both the story and characters all the way through.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy of Truth Be Told in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
Kendra Elliot and Melinda Leigh are my joint no.1 favourite authors and I have read and loved all of. their books to date and you just know when they get together to create these novellas you are in for a huge treat!!!! Truth Be Told takes up where Twisted Truth leaves off. The mute boy who was being led to safety with his uncle Marcus and 2 FBI agents but police officers Stevie Duncan and her husband Zane find the SUV and the 2 FBI agents have been shot dead inside the SUV and there is no sign of the boy or his uncle Marcus so the chase is on to locate them which is no easy task especially as due to the storm and rising tides, the exit out of Solitude has been washed away, This was an excellent read and totally up to the standard I've come to expect from these collaborations I read it in 1 sitting and I've come to love all of the Taylor family and hoping for more!!!

If you read Twisted Truth and felt it ended too soon and you needed more, then this is the answer. This is the second novella in the Rogue Justice series which is one of the follow up series to the original Rogue River series. This series is a collaboration between Kendra Elliot and Melinda Leigh. The writing styles of Ms. Elliot and Ms Leigh are very complimentary and the collaborative effort works well. (I would however, definitely recommend reading a Twisted Truth by Melinda Leigh prior to reading this novella. These novellas work best if read in sequence.)

Picking up where the first novella leaves off, we find hidden truths behind the kidnapping of a young boy. Solitude police officer Stevie Duncan and her Chief of Police husband, Zane, are dealing with flood waters and loss of support as their town is cut off from the rest of the country. They try to piece together clues and uncover motives as the dead body count rises along with the flood waters. This was a fun novella with some good twists.

Stevie and Zane think the case of a young kidnapped boy is solved, until two FBI agents escorting the boy and his uncle are found murdered, and the two passengers missing. The river is rising, roads are blocked off, and a murderer is running stuck in Solitude. Can Stevie and Zane catch the murderer and rescue the boy before something happens?

Kendra Elliot and Melinda make a great pair writing the Rogue novellas. This one, like all the others, is action packed and keeps you guessing until the last moment. I️ wholeheartedly recommend this and all the Rogue novellas. They make you feel like you are part of the family. :)

Continuing with the Rogue Justice novellas, Kendra Elliot brings closer to the unsolved and “Twisted Truth” (Melinda Leigh) in the final book “Truth Be Told”. Stevie and Zane are brought into the crosshairs of the case when the little boy and his uncle disappear and two FBI agents are killed.

Truth Be Told is the ending and the final book of the Rogue Series co-written by Kendra Elliot and Melinda Leigh. It is always a treat to read more of the couples that have caught our attention in this gripping and intriguing blend of Rogue stories. Along with keeping the justice upright, getting to see the progression of Stevie and Zane’s relationship as a couple is always worth the reading.

The Rogue Series is a great start for any reading buffs wanting to test new authors. Two authors who have honed their writing skills to amazing heights of intriguing plots, twisted villains and courageous characters.

Truth Be Told is the 2nd story in the Rogue Justice series. I was initially drawn to this series because Melinda Leigh is one of my favorite authors. This is my first Kendra Elliot story and it will certainly not be the last. It flowed seamlessly from Melinda Leigh's Book One although I think there was enough back story that it would do fine as a stand-alone.

This story was extremely light on the romance side of things but was a jam packed murder, suspense thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. The plot continues to thicken in the little town of Solitude, Oregon when 2 FBI agents are found murdered and the little boy is now missing.

This was a great conclusion to this series and I look forward to reading more from this author.

An ARC copy of the book was received via NetGalley.

TRUTH BE TOLD by Kendra Elliot # 2. In "Rogue Justice" series
Stevie flipping open the wallet, they were FBI agents, escorting a 6 year old boy and his uncle home. Floodwaters, the bridge collapsed, town is now cut off. Where could killer be, and were the boy and uncle safe. A town now had multiple dead bodies and missing people. What all would a father do to get his son back, murder? The more Zane and Stevie look, it involved a business deal and blackmail. Great plot, with a lot of tension, as the floodwaters threaten them, and lives. Readers will definitely want to read this. Given ARC by Net Galley for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Just like book 1 in the Rogue Justice series 92 pages goes by so fast but Kendra Elliot packs a punch keeping readers on a run and when they finish they want to start the book all over again.
Readers have to read book one in the Rogue Justice series to full understand what is happening in book two. Even though it is two different perspectives it is still a continuation of the first book.
The characters stay true to who they are while introducing a few new characters. That readers will enjoy.
Kendra Elliot is able to give readers so much in just a few short pages readers will keep like they are reading a full length novel until the lat page wishing and hoping for more.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher Montlake Romance for the advance copy.

“Truth Be Told” is the second Rouge Justice Novella written by the talented Kendra Elliot set in the fictional town of Solitude, Oregon in the Rouge River Valley. Stevie Duncan comes from a local family of law enforcement officers and when she happens upon an SUV with two dead bodies she knows that it is the FBI agents that were charged with taking a kidnapped child home to Seattle. Zane Duncan is Solitude’s Chief of Police and Stevie’s husband, and after hearing about the dead FBI agents and the missing 6-year old he knows that the search will be treacherous due to the pounding November rain, a killer, and a whiff of corporate espionage, but Zane knows that it is up to him and his department to find the child and make sure he makes it safely home. I was given an advanced copy of this book, and all of the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
