My review as posted on Goodreads:
If you like police procedural stories which provide a sense of place, then you'll probably enjoy this book.
I was drawn into this book by the swiftly developing characters, both police and the victims and their friends.
It is difficult to review this book without spoiling the story, so I must be careful about what I write.
It opens with an abduction and a murder…..
Who is the real target?
What about the earlier cases?
Red, green and blue marks on the bodies! Yes there are lots of them.
All the way through I found myself asking; who can she trust? She being Bella.
I even wondered if DI Matt Brindle, might not be all sweetness and light at one point.
As a stand-alone novel this is very good, but I feel that I'd like to know more about the character of DI Matt Brindle. Could this be the start of a new series?
My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher Joffe Books For this copy. I hope my review is fair reward.
