This was a great read about WWII. A look into the typical American family during that time period, I enjoyed experiencing the war with this family and set of friends.

Although I love reading books about World War II, this book was predictable. The author did create some memorable characters who were likable, but the actions in the story were so predictable. I guessed correctly as to which characters would die. As much as I liked the characters, I felt cheated by the way it unfolded. Even the ending was predictable.

Thank you to the author and Netgalley for a copy of this in exchange of an honest review!

I love reading stories that take place during World War II, so this book was one I couldn't wait to dive into. The author's approach in writing about the people left behind at home was thoroughly enjoyable. It was also enjoyable to read about the background of the Red Cross. This book was just enjoyable on so many different levels!

Enjoyed this historical novel set during WWII. On the home front is well written, good plot and characters. I recommend to those readers who enjoy historical novels.
