Out of all possible devotional choices, Frances J Roberts is probably one of my top 5 picks. Her words are thought provoking, and the reminder of God's biblical truth. You don't have to wonder if it is theological sound, because you quickly realize that it is.

Roberts is well known writer (devotions, songs, poems), and a graduate of Moody Bible Institute. Even though she has moved to Heaven, her devotions are part of the legacy God used her to create. When searching for quality substance in devotions, we can rest assured: "Come Away My Beloved" is definitely going to be the meat we need for our souls, to draw our hearts nearer to the Lord and build up our faith - as we continue to trust Christ with our very lives!

I am reviewing a copy of Come Away My Beloved through Barbour and Netgalley:

In this book we are invited to go deeper into our relationship with Christ. We are encouraged to fear the Lord but not to all be fearful all the time. We are encouraged not only to see our outer blessings as well as our inner strength. We are reminded too of the importance of giving the Lord our first fruits! The book reminds us too that Jesus bears our burdens for us.

The author points out too that inner desire is the first and foremost Motivation. We are reminded too that we have been delivered if only we accept that deliverance. We are encouraged too to find solitude We are reminded too that as Christians we are no stranger to affliction. We are encouraged too, to live in Joy.

We are encouraged to learn to Listen. The author also reminds us the difference between true peace and false peace. We are reminded too of the difference between Godly sorrow, versus Carnal. We are encouraged to accurately speak God’s Truth. We are encouraged to learn well and listen closely.

We are reminded too that Love Endures. The author points out too of The Simplicity of Spirit. We are reminded too that we are not earthbound but should be heaven bound. We are reminded too of the glory of the Lord’s presence. The author reminds us too that miracles are still very real.

We are reminded too that there is victory in adversity, that we should find Boundless Joy in Christ. We are encouraged to speak words of healing. We are reminded too of the importance of depending on the Lord.

I give Come Away My Beloved five out of five stars!

I had the original Come Away My Beloved since I was a young woman. It has always been one of my favorite devotionals. God always speaks to me when I read it. I was thrilled to see it re-released as a compilation with some of Ms. Robert's other Devotionals. I would not hesitate to buy this as a gift for someone special. I am reviewing a digital copy that was given to me by NetGalley for review purposes. All thoughts are my own.

This book helped bring me into a deeper relationship with God.

Come Away My Beloved Daily Devotional wonderful-and I can explain it enough-wonderful book. The book starts at January one. When I read it I cried my heart out. The word of GOD is put in such an amazing way. I cannot tell you how much you should add this book to your repertoire, it definitely is part of my daily reading schedule. Why not make it yours?

The devotions are extremely short. I was wanting something deeper. It's good, but short.

An excellently written devotional book. The Barbour Staff did an exceptional job compiling this book.
