This is the fourth installment in the Wrangler’s Creek series. Lawson and Eve’s story was nice and sweet. I know that at the beginning and even in the end I couldn’t stand her co-star he was a complete jerk. He did not deserve to be a father to his newly born child. All he thought was of himself and how to further his career. As I continued reading the story I knew exactly what had happened so many years ago. I felt bad for Eve because of her keeping this secret her daughter was not speaking with her and she just might lose the one man she truly loved. Eve is going to have to come clean sooner or later because there are many lives that are going to be hurt and in the end she just might lose the man she loves.

This was my first book in the series. It was a great second chance romance. It totally gave me all the small town feels. And, Lawson Granger! Oh em gee, that is one sexy cowboy. I was completely smitten with him! Can't wait to read more by this author.

Delores Fossen is one of my favorite writers. She creates a world of irresistible charm. Tough cowboys and sassy women, who are strong enough to handle anything that comes their way. The story was believable. Heartfelt, engaging, and hilarious. I loved Lawson’s crazy voodoo neighbor. Telling him he has a curse on him involving stitches to his butt, a baby, and horns. Sounds crazy, right? It definitely is and was funny as hell. The characters were three dimensional. I couldn’t get enough of them. Tessie felt real. Eve was going through hell as a single pregnant mother. And Lawson has his hands full…

Texas-Sized Trouble by Delores Fossen is her latest novel. Talk about lust, sex, and family…all of these wonderful elements were inside. Themes like trust, love, and second chances are found on all of the pages. I was hooked instantly. First, there’s the reunion of two old flames-Eve and Lawson. They have a shared history that could burn up any night. Then, there the fact that Lawson’s curse comes to fruit, and I couldn’t stop laughing. Vudoo lady should have been taken seriously. Yet being the cocky man that he is, Lawson ignores the woman’s prediction. Lawson meets Eve after 18 years. She’s going through labor and he fell flat on his butt. However, he did manage to deliver her precious baby boy into the world. I loved it when Eve told him to take her panties off and Lawson was like, “I’m sure the EMS can do that.” Eve forced him to do it…and not too much later, out comes the beautiful baby. Lawson and Eve have a lot of passion. Their chemistry is intense. They try to ignore it but it doesn’t stay ignored…then, there’s a big secret Eve has kept from Lawson. Lawson doesn’t realize it yet, but his whole life will change quickly…I fell in love with these characters. Their personalities were fun to follow. A variety of crying, laughing, and anger moments to keep readers like myself busy. The romance was incredible and heartfelt. Overall, I recommend this new title by Delores Fossen. Family, love, and choices made this a hot read.

I've been thoroughly enjoying this Wrangler's Creek series from its inception, and am happy to report that this fourth novel in the Wrangler's Creek series may just be the wildest, wackiest, funniest, sexiest, saddest, second chance at love, cowboy romance yet--Delores Fossen didn't miss a trick in this one, and this novel gets 4.5 stars from this reader/reviewer.

Lawson and Eve were high school sweethearts, but at age 17, eagerly awaiting the Sadie Hawkins dance at their high school, their steamy, sexy, can't-keep-their-hands-off-each-other, high school romance came to an abrupt end when Eve was discovered and signed to star in a new sci-fi teenage romance television series and was suddenly gone from Wrangler's Creek. The show was a huge hit, with millions of rabid teenage fans, but Eve did manage to keep something from back home--Lawson's unborn child, Tessie, a child she raised to believe was adopted, and a child Lawson didn't know was his.

Fast forward 18 years, and Eve is pregnant again after a drunken one-night stand with her co-star, Kellan, a totally self-promoting, publicity hungry, obnoxious jerk, and she's returned to Wrangler's Creek, buying Lawson's mother's old house, which is less than 1/4 mile from Lawson's newly built home. When Lawson heads over there to find out why she would do such a thing, he finds her in labor and ends up delivering Eve's second child, a son named Aidan, and although they each have lots of issues with one another, neither of them has really ever gotten over the other, but Lawson has nursed his broken heart all these years, and he still doesn't want more pain, any children or commitment. He also still hasn't figured out that Eve's teenage daughter, Tessie, is really his.

Adding to the complications is the fact that both Eve and Lawson still have nightmares over the alcohol-related death of their close friend, Brett, 18 years earlier, and the fact that Tessie just found out that she really was Eve's daughter, not adopted after all, that Tessie was away at college for the first time, and not responding to Eve's phone calls, and Lawson going to check up on her on his way back from a cattle buying trip. Although he doesn't realize it at the time, he prevents 3 very drunken college students, one of whom is Tessie, from leaving the dorm, and that's just for starters. Teenage drinking is a huge red flag to both Lawson and Eve, and underage drinking is enough to get Tessie expelled from college if her drinking binge is discovered.

There's also Eve's obnoxious, former co-star, Kellan, father of her second child, showing up with the paparazzi in tow, and wanting Eve to agree to co-star with him in a spin-off series, and prior to that, sending gigantic and hideous stuffed animals to the son he seems not to even care about seeing at all. As if that's not quite enough, Eve's crazy and obsessed fans keep showing up unannounced and literally jumping out from behind the bushes at her home. Add to that, a bicycle-riding, fortune-telling old crone casting predictions and prophecies, warning of curses and passing around an ugly chicken

Then there's the fact that even after 18 years apart, Lawson and Eve can't be in the same room together without wanting to jump each other's bones. And there's Lawson's ex-girlfriend, Darby, showing up unannounced and stark naked under a trench coat, Lawson's irritating and meddling siblings, Tessie disappearing after she discovers that Lawson is really her biological father, and you have the makings for one of the sweetest, saddest, funniest, sexiest, and most bizarre and brilliantly conceived novels Ms. Fossen has written to date. It's a wild ride of a second-chance romance and I'm so glad I got the chance to ride along.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.

What a delightful, second-chance romance this proved to be! Eighteen years ago, as teens, Lawson Granger and Eve Cooper were inseparable high school sweethearts - until stardom beckoned and Eve left to become a leading lady in the acting profession. Now she’s back bringing with her secrets to be revealed and so much more will they have a chance to find love together again?

This is a heartwarming story with plenty of great characters, including star struck fans, an angry teenager who has more surprises in store, some weird and wonderfully crazy friends and, of course, a plethora of alpha cowboys! The secrets about to be revealed will be life changing for all concerned - so I definitely don’t want to reveal them as spoilers here! This is a fun, emotional and engaging story that I have no hesitation in recommending to anyone who likes their second chance romances to have so many quirks and surprises throughout them that you just have to keep on reading to discover what happens next!

I requested and received a copy of this novel via NetGalley. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.

3.5 stars

Lawson was a very intriguing character; he is full of alpha male qualities. When Eve comes back into his life, he finds himself flat on his back in more ways than one. To keep his ranch flowing smoothly Lawson has no choice but to keep moving forward.

Eve has been hiding secrets for quite some time, not just small secrets either, life changing secrets. Moving back to town was not in the cards for Eve. She has grown up in the public eye, now is yearning to be left alone. She knows she has some trouble following her but never suspected anything like what happened.

Lawson and Eve is a second chance couple, high school sweethearts who are working there way through some troubling times. Eve has a lot of characteristics that could make a person unlikable, Ms. Fossen crafts her just right so readers feel for her and want to see everything work out. The cast of characters is very unique, the all fit together very well. Readers can feel a wide range of emotion with each character, happy, sad, intrigued, angry, hopeful and frustrated. It’s a good read filled with lots of action that easily keeps the pages turning. I wish there was a little more closure to certain plot twists, they almost wrapped up to easily for my liking. However, if you like quirky characters, drama, and a happy ending, read Texas-Sized Trouble.

Emotional, passionate, and entertaining!

Texas-Sized Trouble is a heartwarming, second-chance romance between the sweet, hardworking, ruggedly handsome Lawson who let his high school sweetheart slip away without a fight, and the famous, but lonely actress Eve who took more than Lawson's broken heart when she fled Wrangler's Creek eighteen years ago.

The prose is crisp and clear. The characters, including the supporting characters, are engaging, amusing, and quirky. And the plot is a wild ride full of family drama, secrets, deception, twists, turns, forgiveness, closure, new beginnings, and sizzling romance.

Overall, Texas-Sized Trouble is a lighthearted, easy read that's a true guilty pleasure with its sexy cowboys, touch of the rich and famous lifestyle, western charm, heartfelt moments, and a cover that had me smitten from the very first glance.

I am in love with this book. The story of Eve and Lawson was so good I could hardly put it down to sleep. I loved how Delores tells you a little of their past while still not giving it all away. Tessie is also a great character that I can’t wait for her story.

Delores Fossen is a cool writer of cowboys, their Texas-sized hearts and of course, “Texas-Sized Trouble”, they always seem to land into in the matters of love.

Lawson Granger has his hands full delivering the baby of his once-upon-a-time sweetheart Eve Cooper, even as he tries to analyze why he let her go eighteen years ago. But now that she’s back on the ranch, setting roots for her newborn and her daughter, literally being his neighbor sure is a kick in the butt and a bullet to his heart…. realizing he never ever got over her.

Leaving stardom and fame, Eve Cooper wants to have a stable family, mend fences with her daughter, and raise her newborn within the security of her hometown. Her feelings for Lawson were never erased, but she has secrets and nightmares that give her sleepless nights and a fear of the future when all is revealed

With another round of romance, secrets, family dynamics, “Texas-Sized Trouble” is worth all the trouble of reading and enjoying this story by Delores Fossen.

Wrangler's Creek is one of the series that I am collecting in paperback as well, even though I have the digital copies because these stories are the ones you want to keep re-reading, definite keepsake material. So it is no wonder that Lawson Granger and Eve Cooper's story captured my heart. The emotions are so deep and profound, so real and troubled, so passionate and fierce, I inhaled the story at one sitting and wanted to start reading it all over again as I was finished with it.
The history between Lawson and Eve is already
a jumbled mess and when you add to it the secrets they keep, the rumors the town and paparazzi create, and the lies Eve's former co-star tells it is no wonder their life is turned into a tumultuous chaos where no one is in control and the truth is evasive.
Lawson is the middle child, the one who slips the attention and gets away with the most because no one was paying attention to him. The turmoils of his childhood were compensated with the love and devotion his young heart had for Eve. The passion was burning hot, the need for each other was intense, and every single sports arena in town brought bitter-sweet memories from their youth. Lawson had grown up to be a good, solid man. He worked on his cousin's ranch, he dated but avoided commitment and kids, marriage was just not for him or in his plans for the future.
Eve's life was build upon lies and deceit from the very young age and now her house of cards was truly fumbling down in one hurricane style sweep. Everything she has done, every secret she has kept, was done with good intentions, she is not a bad person and has no harmful purposes for her actions. Life just happened to deal her a bad hand and she did the best she could with it. But now she was in desperate need of straightening the mess, for forgiveness, and for understanding.
I loved the connection between Eve and Lawson because it was so real. The fracas in their lives was natural results for life lived with human errors and good intentions.
The story brings up an important issue of underage drinking and the dangerous consequences of it. It is taken very seriously and dealt with in honest and raw, deadly facts. There is no preaching or finger pointing just an important issue that needs to be talked about set into the tale in a way information is easily shared and understood.
An emotional addition to one of my favorite series. I laughed and smiled with antics of the folks, sighed and swooned with the hot cowboys. My heart melted with the ardent, delightful romance, it ached with all the family drama and trouble and rejoiced in the abundance of love that was found in the forgiveness and new chances.
Loved it!

Lawson Granger and Eve Cooper were teenaged sweethearts but that all ended when a good friend died of alcohol poisoning on a night when they were all together. Sure Lawson and Eve were upstairs and the friend downstairs but that death still haunts both. Now Eve has returned and old feeling are coming back up. This is a nice story with some interesting twists. There are two children involved, one a baby and one a teenager. It was fun to watch how everything turned out.

After finishing the story I found a really fun novella was at the back of the book. This one was fun and had some very nice characters. A good bonus.

I received a free copy of the book in return for an honest review.

Texas-Sized Trouble is the latest addition to Delores Fossen's Wrangler's Creek series. This book features Lawson Granger who meets up again with his high school sweetheart, Eve Cooper after an eighteen year separation. Eve broke Lawson's heart after running off to Hollywood where she became a famous teen star in a series which reached cult status. What they both discover upon meeting again is that their attraction to each other is as strong as ever. Getting back together isn't easy as the bumps along that path are big and troublesome. There are past hurts and lies, present secrets, troublesome exes and children, as well as interfering family members. There's also local fortune-teller Vita Banchini who throws in some curses for Lawson to deal with - horn, concussion, baby and water.

I really loved this reunion story complete with hot cowboys, sexy ladies, cute babies and loving family. I laughed so much at some of the antics in this book and I especially got a kick out of Vita's chicken, Prissy Pants, fairies and gold glitter and a condom malfunction.

Reading a Delores Fossen story is like having your favorite comfort food for dinner. I highly recommend this book.

4.5*
This is such a good book and this series keeps getting better and better. You are guaranteed to laugh out loud and at times you’ll need tissues.
Lawson Granger and Eve Cooper were high school sweethearts, misunderstandings, a friends death and a chance at stardom tore them apart.
Eve is now back in Wrangler’s Creek, her life is a bit of a mess and coming home she hopes will make a difference. Maybe she can even make amends with Lawson.
The last thing Lawson wants is to have Eve around and underfoot, she’s never been far from his mind as it is. A grown up Eve, well she’ll be even harder to forget.
Eve thought she’d be able to quietly sort out things, but right off the bat things start to get crazy and her old life tries to invade and Lawson gets more then he’s bargained for. He begins to think maybe a single life isn’t what he wants.
Lawson and Eve can’t seem to be in the same room with out touching when they should really be talking. So the heat is there but is there a future?
The one that got away and secret baby troupe are two of my favorite troupes!

Loved this addition to the Wrangler's Creek series! Standalone. Sexy cowboy, romance, strong woman, second chance, crazy fans, ex lover, new baby, teenager trouble, wonderful friends and family. This was a Texas-sized story with lots of heart! Lawson was wonderful with Aiden, like he was born to do it, and Eve was independent and snarky!

A humorous western romance that is a fun read.
Lawson Granger works hard on the family ranch, and harder trying to complete the home he's building. Frustrated he listened to Vita Banchini as she rattled off some crazy predictions at him.
When he finds out the girl who he believes dumped him to become a movie star is living in his mother's old house..he is not happy.
Eve left because Lawson was anti-marriage and she had just found out she was pregnant. She got lucky, got a role that enabled her to raise her daughter with a little help from a good friend, that she employed and kept Tessie's parentage a secret.
When Tessie found out the story of her 'adoption' was a lie, she went off to college and refused to talk to her mother.
Sad and depressed, she had a one night stand with her former co-star and got pregnant. Eve came home to try to work out her problems and as he arrived at the house her water broke and he delivered her son.
And.....it seemed the crazy predictions came true.
Crazy fans swarmed over the town, brought by the ex co-star and baby daddy in an attempt to get the series they were in renewed.
Lawson is falling for eve all over and fighting it, but when the truth comes out about Tessie and Lawson is thrown for a loop.
Working together to bring Tessie home and helping each other get by brings all the feelings denied to the surface. Both work on making this time last.
I requested an ARC from NetGalley and enjoyed this tale immensely.

Texas Sized Trouble ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️by Delores Fossen

This is my first read in this series but it could stand alone. Although references are made to other family members the reader certainly can pick up the storyline.

Lawson and Eve were a couple that came full circle with their love. As young teenagers they acted as such not wanting commitments just living free. Eve’s pregnancy and leaving through Lawson in a tailspin. He never knew of her situation and truth be told if they had married at that age it would not have worked out.

I enjoyed seeing this couple reunite and make a go of it. I did feel the story could have wrapped the situation up sooner to much redundancy in the dialogue. Some eccentric peripheral characters could have been eliminated.

What’s not to love about a good Western romance? There’s just something about a story with a strong cowboy in the lead and a woman tough enough to take him on. And when that story opens with Vita, the resident fortune teller, making one of her crazy predictions, you know you’re in for a wild ride.

Lawson Granger may have been stuck in a rut but it was a rut that had suited him until Vita Banchini’s predictions came true in the form of Eve Cooper. Lawson had loved Eve once. 18 years ago. But she’d left him for tv stardom and had crushed his heart. Now she was back and living on Granger land. And everywhere Lawson went triggered memories of the past. Memories he’d been trying for 18 years to forget.
Wrangler’s Creek was the closest thing Eve had to normal and home. And that’s what she needed right now. Pregnant and needing a safe place for her baby, Eve returns home to confront her past and try to make amends with the only man she’s ever loved. A man she’s kept a secret from for 18 years. A secret that could cause her to lose the only people she’s ever loved.
I loved reading Lawson and Eve’s story and seeing them rediscover love while trying to make peace with the past. From the hilarious birth of Eve’s son, I knew this was going to be another Wrangler’s Creek classic that would keep me chuckling and sighing till the end. It was evident from the start that those old feelings were still there for both of them. But those feelings also stirred up painful memories that Eve and Lawson had never gotten over. So they tried to avoid each other. But thanks to a matchmaking family, Vita’s predictions, and Eve’s teenage daughter, avoidance wasn’t possible. Lawson “kept vowing to keep his distance from her, kept vowing not to kiss her and then that plan would go to hell in a handbasket the moment he laid eyes on her”. And Eve was no better at self- control. Every time she was near Lawson, the air practically zinged. The question was would those feelings still be there when the secret Eve had been keeping was out in the open.
I felt for both Lawson and Eve in this story, and while I wanted them to be together, I could understand their hesitance. Both blamed themselves for a past event that truthfully neither could have controlled. They were young and made some poor choices. And some hateful things had been said when they parted ways. That’s a lot to put behind you. But time and growing have a way of making you see things in a new light. Could they now put the past behind them and build a future together?
As in all the Wrangler’s Creek stories, the secondary characters add so much to the story. I love the Granger family dynamic. As Eve’s friend Cassidy said, “All that testosterone in one house!” And if you’ve followed the series, you know that the Granger men are strong and stubborn alphas. The relationship between Lawson and his brothers and cousins is just fun to read. There can be lots of bickering but you know there’s a lot of love there too.
I loved Eve’s daughter Tessie and felt for her struggles. She’d lived her life thinking she was lucky to have been chosen by someone as idolized as Eve only to find out she was the secret her mom had tried to hide from her fans. She was trying to work through a lot of hurt and adjust to the new circumstances of her life.
There were plenty of characters to lighten the mood too. The attention hungry co-star, the gassy baby, Vita and her curse breaking chicken, and a slew of Eve’s tv fans- the hornies, all kept things entertaining. Delores Fossen always manages to write the perfect blend of funny, romantic, and bittersweet moments. This story is fast-paced, tender, sweet and sexy, funny, and heartbreaking too. All the things I’ve come to love in this series. I can’t wait to see what happens next. (Hint to Ms. Fossen: I’m really hoping there’s more in store for Lucian and Cassidy.) Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me an advanced copy of this book. And thanks to Delores Fossen for writing a series that sticks with me long after I read “the end”. Another winner from Ms Fossen...adding Lawson and Eve's story to the series has been a treat. Filled with quirky characters, those you love to hate, and endearing ones gas well gives a flair to the story.

Having Lawson and Eve come full circle and find each other again...and a surprise along the way, drove the story making it a page turner...with a measure of regrets and anger along the way, the HEA was so well deserved for the couple.
