This book is for the patient reader. When I was 40% into the book I almost gave up on it. The start was messy and hard to follow. I had the feeling that I were inside the main characters head, and together with him tried to piece together a picture with missing pieces. This is not a style I am found of, and I found the whole thing very confusing. Luckily I gave it one more chapter and this was the one were I felt the story started to progress.

The story it self was ok and I enjoyed it. Still it was not an extraordinary story line and I never felt that I was invested in any of the characters. Which is sad because the book had a lot of potential.

I liked the reference to the old Norse text, it is very original. Also, the narration is delightful and easy to keep connected with the story. Good job!
