Rowan Andrews competes at the Snow and Ice Games in the luge.  She's a fierce competitor and is hyper-focused on bringing home a medal. All that goes sideways when a little comment in a magazine reveals her crush on a boy band lead singer.

Zane Rivera sings for License to Game boy band.  They are the hottest things around.  When he reads Rowan's comment, he makes arrangements to meet her.  After the surprise meet and greet, a photo op of Zane kissing Rowan on the cheek gets major exposure on social media.  Both their agents decide to cash in on the publicity by faking a romance.  Let the games begin!!

This was a cute, quick and easy read!  I loved how it flowed.  Both Zane and Rowan were very down to earth, honest people. Rowan isn't used to the spotlight that Zane was. She felt luge was pretty obscure, and I felt bad for her feeling overwhelmed with it all. They were attracted to each other from the start, and after a few dates, it was going to be hard to end this fake gig!  I really enjoyed learning the idiosyncrasies of sliding too!  I have watched luge before and thought they were nuts!  I thought it was funny when Rowan thought the ski jumpers were nuts!!

Overall a highly recommended read and start to Tamsen Parker's Snow and Ice Games series! I'm looking forward to seeing what other sports will be highlighted!

Story was cute, there was no real mystery or suspense and probably geared more to New Adult readers. The story focused on the trials facing an pop star and an athlete who were under the glare of the limelight and the pressure the faced.

Tamsen Parker is quickly becoming my favorite romance/erotic author. Her work is absolutely swoon worthy. I fell in love with both Zane and Rowan because they are honestly the sweetest. I’m usually not into the celebrity romance aspect but it worked so well in the hands of parker. Zane wasn’t a complete asshole! Imagine that?!

It’s a trope as old as the romance novel itself, fake relationship. They start out fans of each other and they eventually develop feelings. It’s refreshing to read something that celebrates a female athlete’s body. Whenever we enter the Olympic Games the media has no idea how to cover female athletes because they barely report on them and one of the first topics of discussion is how “feminine” women’s bodies are. I like the fact that Zane loves and appreciates her athletic body.

The sex is insanely hot and I love that Rowan is pretty much in control. It’s really refreshing to read this and I’m trying to find more romance novels where the heroine is in control in the bedroom. Thankfully we are getting more and more of those every year. Sex positivity and consent is so important especially in the world we live in. (Side-note, if men read romance the world would be a better place)

It was a great five star read!

I love a good sports romance and also love finding a new author. This is my first book from author
Tamsen Parker and I enjoyed Love on the Tracks. Rowan and Zane definitely have chemistry and their relationship was fun to read. But, I did feel like there was some insta-love that could have been avoided with a little more plot.

Zane is am equal opportunity man, “hey, I’m all for no clothes. But if I have to play naked, you have to listen naked.” Rowan's mind entertaining, "there. I have fulfilled my obligation as a responsible, sexually active adult. Therefore, I will not feel bad about riding Zane Rivera like I’m at a rodeo." I liked this book, Zane and rowan were a match made in Heaven.

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  Romance

Well, I adore Tamsen's Compass series so when I saw this was keen to read. Its a very different style though, and felt very much more NA to me.
That's fine, I do read and enjoy some NA, but somehow this one never really hooked me.

It was a Good read, Tamsen's usual impeccable writing style where characters and scenes feel so real, but for me it wasn't a Great read, and that's what I was expecting. A case more of reader wrong expectations more than anything wrong with the story.

I did like both characters, enjoyed Zane's songwriting, the way he and the band wanted to move forward but the label wants to keep on with the current successful format. I reckon that's pretty true to life, those in charge of expenses are risk averse, they want to stay with a sure thing regardless of how bands/individuals feel.
Rowan was a good lead, loved the way her and her father had become such a close unit, enjoyed seeing how she came into Luge, a niche sport. On that note the whole SIG was really interesting, and unusual slant and one that worked well.

Having said all that somehow though the book failed to gel into a story that kept me hooked, I read it, enjoyed it but could have put it aside, and when a story is a great read that's something I struggle with. When I find I can put it aside and read something else I know that for me its not a winner.

As ever though this is just my opinion, you decide for yourself if its one you'll like. Its well written, no plot holes, good characters so will have many who love it as it is, just not me :-(

Stars: Three, a good start to a new series, but wasn't a must-keep-reading novel for me.
