This is a lovely concise book on a subject a barely got to before. i wanted to dip in but not get an entire encyclopedia yet. It did not disappoint. This easily readable book clearly speaks from the heart of the author. She explains how to connect with the spirits of animals. In her descriptions she points out what it means when an animal shows itself to you and how you can find connections with animals. For sure I will buy this book and give it a try. And I will nver look at animals in the same way again!

I don't always believe in the new agey stuff, but I like to learn what people are saying. I also like to see what if any psychological implications are included. for this particular set up, I didn't seem to see any. I was also confused on how non existing animals could communicate with you. But if you truly believe and are into the ideas presented, it really is a neat little book. It's divided in three categories, one quick page on each animal. A hand dandy little reference.

Melissa Alvarez' book, LLewellyn's Little Book of Spirit Animals, did not resonate with me. I didn't find enough factual information in her pages to make the association of various animals with one's spirituality believable. Those who already have spirit animals or guides will enjoy her work, however.
