This was a great first read by author Stefanie London. The story was predictable, but I loved the added humor and premise behind the story.

Reed is a PR guru, but his persona has taken a nosedive after the "Bad Bachelors" app has him listed as the worse bachelor. Basically, women can rate the men they've dated and leave reviews - like a Yelp for dating. Reed goes through women quickly though and apparently has broken a lot of hearts and now his job is being threatened if he doesn't improve his own image soon. Reed agrees to help fundraise for the local library, even though he hates libraries, but since it's a favor to his assistant, he agrees.

That's when Reed meets Darcy, the tattooed, pierced, ratty jeans wearing librarian. Darcy's heart was broken a year ago and she doesn't exactly trust men. So when the 'too handsome for his own good' Reed strolls into the library offering to help them do some much-needed fundraising, she's skeptical and doesn't fall easily for his charms.

I loved Darcy. Yes, she had her heart broken and her self-doubt was a bit annoying at times, but she was definitely full of personality and desire to just be herself. Now Reed was a different story. It took me a long while to warm up to him because he was just flat out mean at times. But knowing his story, I got it, just wish he could have been a bit nicer.

Even though Reed finds Darcy to be stubborn and annoyingly cute, he's not about to get involved in a relationship. Darcy is the same way. They're both broken individuals, hurt by the people who they loved and the whole book they're back-and-forth with their feelings and unwillingness to make the next step.

But again, it's predictable and in the end, it all works out. The ending is very sweet and it was nice to see how they complimented each other and helped the other heal from their past wounded souls. The only thing that surprised me was who is behind the Bad Bachelors app. I didn't see that one coming. I'll definitely be reading more by Stefanie London in the future.

I still had about 100 pages left to read, and found myself sneaking reading time at work- that and I pre-ordered the book for our customers! Refreshing story line that wasn't a typical billionaire/working girl story. Not rushed and the author pulled you in to relate with the characters. Definitely recommend and am currently stalking out her other books to read. The second book in what I'm guessing will ultimately be a trilogy can't come soon enough!

As a librarian I loved the unique librarian character, not a stereotype. This was a fun, read with interesting characters with real issues, but not so much it wasn't the happy ending escapist read.

I really hope that there will be more books about the Bad Bachelor's, of NYC. Reed was a refreshing difference from the normal womanizer. He doesn't hide the fact that he likes women and doesn't want any commitments. He's not even trying to change his ways. He just wants the lies to stop. When Darcy sees the other side of his life that he doesn't show to many people, he does something that he'll regret. The question is, what will he do to make it better?

Loved it! there was a tiny bit of WHY DON'T THEY JUST TALK, but for the most part their communication or lack thereof was not the source of their problems, and I greatly appreciate that in a romance.

Nothing worse than a grudge and using the latest app to get your Bitchin out... Reed has become infamous... and not because of good reasons... so he needs to clean up his image...Hmmm what would work...
Why doing a Library Fundraiser and there being a sweet Librarian cannot hurt at all...But What... she is not giving him any chance to show his real concern...
Tables turn and these people end up seeing each other for who they really are... not their image. Cute

This book was fun from start to finish! Darcy might be a librarian, but she's a librarian with plenty of sassitude and she doesn't take any ish, especially once she realizes who is standing in front of her to help with a fundraiser: Reed, who just happens to bearing the brunt of negativity on a new dating app by someone with a grudge (whether Reed is responsible for that negativity you'll have to read to discover for yourself). I loved the chemistry between Darcy and Reed and how the story was laid out from start to finish, and the few twists that were thrown definitely kept me swiping on my iPad. I would highly recommend this book!

Reed sure loves to rile up his woman, “we missed our meeting last week, remember?” His eyes flickered over her, a slight smirk tugging on his lips as his gaze came to rest on her T-shirt. “Book boyfriends do it better, huh? Either you’ve got some really good books, or your boyfriends are setting a low bar.” I actually really enjoyed this book, Reed really needed someone like Darcy in his life to losen him up.

This was a very enjoyable and well written romance. It stars Reed, who is a good guy with a very bad dating rep on a new app rating bachelors. Darcy is a librarian and she just discovered the app and when Reed appears at her library one day to help her with a fundraiser. she absolutely recognizes him from the app.

But despite them both being wary of the other they work together and learn more about the other. But someone is out to get Reed using the app. This was a sweet romance. I really enjoyed the characters and storyline and it was well written. My only issue with it is that the story ends with I love you's said but we don't get to actually see it except in the 3 months future. I would rather have seen it more in the actual telling of the story.

Hysterical! What a great story, everything you want in a book and a little bit more.
Poor Reed, his jackassery days with women have caught up with him when a new app hits the ladies phones called Bad Bachelor. It's written for women (and men too) that gives them a heads up on how to avoid bad dates whether they use a dating app or not. Bad date means those notorious bad blow bys that hit and run. And the lovely and very anonymous blogger who writes about the latest has found the man who just epitomizes everything she hates. Reed McMahon. Successful businessman who has a rep yes, but he claims nothing like what they are saying about him. When they start to bother his ailing father he is beyond angry.
He meets Darcy, lovely single librarian who he's kind of nudged into helping get a fund raiser together for the library she works for. She loves what she does, loves the kids and books. Lots of books. She's been burned and her two friends are trying to get her back out into the game, and when one suggests she check out the app and kindly downloads it for her, she already knows who Reed is when he shows up to help her with the fund raiser.
Reed doesn't give anything away, doesn't tell women about himself, his past, his father, the mother who disappeared yet he finds himself talking to Darcy. He hates libraries. He's got a reason for that.
Meanwhile, the banter between these two is fantastic. Stefanie did such a great job with the dialogue, I loved it. When Reed found himself getting a little too comfy, he'd blow her off. Off course these two had a great chemistry and it takes Darcy by surprise when they hit round two.
Reed is not taking this laying down, he's already lost one client because of bad press, the people in the office are talking and one of his bosses is breathing down his neck to land a big client. One he needs Darcy to help him with. Meanwhile he hires a private investigator to find who is running this business and just keeps running into dead ends. Until one day he doesn't. Well hell what a twist.
So I have just hit the highlights, but this is a must read book. It's got it all and along with being funny. It's a great plot, fantastic dialogue and two main characters who you'll love.

Actual stars: 4.5
What I loved: A bada$$ librarian - I'm so tired of the stereotypical librarian character. Thank you for giving this librarian some moxie!
What I liked: The story...Don't judge a book by the cover.
What I hated: The Annie character...from the onset, she was the one I didn't like - I get it, but seriously, her character was flat.

This was a great little read. I wasn't expecting much when I started it just a fluffy romance, but I got more.
It appears this will be a Series and I'm excited for what comes next!!!

4 Stars!!!

What an enjoyable read! Stefanie London has written A LOT of romance novels, but Bad Bachelor is the first I’ve read from her (but it definitely won’t be the last)! Right off the bat, I found the main characters endearing and found myself 100% hooked because of that fact. Darcy and Reed’s chemistry was palpable from the beginning and I loved seeing what Stefanie London had in mind for these two. The pacing was perfect and I have to say there were a couple twists and turns I didn’t see coming—loved that! If you are in the mood for a romance novel that’s the perfect cure for the wintertime blues than 1-click this 4 star gem!
