Arctic wolf, second chances, Alaska, theft, suspense, and a PI. Another shifter romance from Terry Spear that delves into layers of plot to leave you guessing.

I enjoyed this book very much. I also liked the Characters and the love scenes. Thanks to Netgalley for this free copy.

I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is listed as Heart of the Wolf book 24 I have to say I haven’t read the other 24 but I could follow along without it. I was a little disappointed with this. I don’t know if it was the copy i had but the prologue was very hard to follow. Then the story was just way too long. It kept going and probably could have been shorter. I am not a fan of books that drag and this was just a super long read for me. The romance was there but the story itself was just too much.

3.75 Hearts My goodness… this is #24! 24! Really!

It is hard to believe that Spear can even come up with anything new after so many books in the series and yet she does.

Amelia and Gavin have met before years earlier but it was a different time and now Gavin is a turned wolf and Amelia is excited to see him again, well sorta. They have a past that Gavin can’t seem to place but Amelia remembers it all. But now they have to work together or they may not survive the latest meeting.

If you enjoy shifter romance than this story and this series is for you. And just an FYI this can be read as a stand alone. Or out of order.

Flight of the White Wolf is the second book in Terry Spear’s White Wolf Series. I did not read the first one but I don’t feel like I really missed anything. This is the story of Arctic Wolf Shifters Gavin Summerfield and Amelia White. When these two initially meet, Gavin is a police officer who has been taken hostage by some thieves and Amelia is the pilot flying their escape plane. Luckily for Gavin, Amelia helps him escape his captors although Gavin doesn’t actually see her but she sees him. Several years later, Gavin and Amelia meet again while Gavin is looking for some missing dogs in his new career as a private detective. As fate would have it, Gavin has no idea who she is and they have an awkward exchange but still don’t truly meet this time either. Fast forward a few more years and Gavin ends up using Amelia’s company to fly out regarding another investigation. Still, Gavin doesn’t recognize her but this time things get real.

Flight of the White Wolf was a very unpredictable book. The chemistry between Gavin and Amelia is undeniable, but it’s the way that they finally hook up that makes the book intriguing. Amelia does everything she can to avoid Gavin but he keeps popping in and out of her life. One time, he pops in and she is wearing nothing but a towel. The next time, he ends up in a sabotaged plane with her. Clearly, they were meant to be together. Amelia is of Royal Arctic Wolf Blood Line while Gavin was turned. Consequently, they wouldn’t normally be together but the laws of attraction don’t care about that. In addition, they seem to work really well together. They have a lot of clothes on heat well before they actually get naked together. Plus, they really look out for each other as if they had known each other for years. In addition, Amelia tries desperately to keep her secret regarding their first meeting hidden. Gavin knows something is familiar about her but he just can’t put his finger on it. Not that he lets any of that get in the way. Add in the fact that they find that they have a common enemy and everything just seems to work.

I really enjoyed Flight of the White Wolf. Terry Spear put a good twist on the lore of shape shifters. There was an unexpected mystery that was woven throughout their unexpected romance. Both characters were very likeable, plus there is even an enormous dog that adds to their bond. The story was fast-paced and I couldn’t put the book down. I look forward to reading other books in the series.

This book was one with a lot of twists, turns, and all out confusing moments in the overall plotline, but as far as the relationship between the H/H and the emotions that were obviously there each moment between them, it was another masterpiece of Terry’s work. This book picks up pretty quickly after the last in the series with another of the arctic wolf pack going off on a job for their private investigation firm and stumbling across a woman that has a past that has been twisted around his own several times. Gavin and Amelia are both surprised to see one another and they decide to continue on their paths for their own purposes, but once they are forced to work together to survive in the wilderness after their plane crashes the full truth of their twisted past comes to light—luckily not before they both start to realize their connection might go even deeper than coincidence. Gavin is a sweet guy, despite being a badass wolf shifter with a seriously sexy set of skills as an ex-cop/PI and he determines from the beginning that no matter what he will protect the sexy she-wolf that is by his side no matter what. I liked his character and seeing him falling deeper for Amelia, despite not understanding the full consequences of their past encounters until he was in much too deep; of course, once he does understand, the fact that he forgives her almost immediately and admits that everyone sometimes makes mistakes, shows me he’s an even better guy than I thought and makes me like him that much more. Amelia is a badass in her own right. A kick butt she-wolf with mad piloting skills and the determination to do whatever it takes to keep her and Gavin (and their new friend Wilson) safe in the wild while danger seems to surround them. She had her moments of vulnerability as she began to fall deeper for Gavin of course, but I could see that she would always be the type of mate to stand right beside him and face any dangers that come their way together. The overall story was great even if there were some really far-fetched moments that had me second-guessing Ms. Spear’s thought processes, but in the end she tied everything up in a neat little bow so I let it go. If you are looking for a light-hearted read with some laughs, tears, a bit of action and some intrigue you can’t go wrong with Gavin and Amelia’s love story and I am looking forward to whatever comes next for these interesting Arctic wolf P.I.s. For a series that has become so long running and all-encompassing of different groups of shifters and different parts of the world, Terry always manages to give us a fresh angle and some fun new twist to keep each story fresh and interesting and I never doubt I will enjoy reading every moment when I see a new arrival on my To-Read shelf.

For Gavin Summerfield and Amelia White, it was not love at first sight. In fact, the first time they met, they were on opposing sides, albeit that meeting was memorable to both. So, fate decided to play a joke on them. They meet again, and this time they were on the same side. The only problem was they must fight for their lives before they can reach their happily ever after.

Author Terry Spear has given paranormal romance a new edge with a thriller aspect. Then she added comedy and drama into the mix. Developing Gavin and Amelia’s characters with a very serious side that can turn playful in a turn of the dime made “Flight of the White Wolf” a very enjoyable read. Fast-paced thanks to the adrenaline-pumping scenes, the romantic build up slowed it down just enough for readers to enjoy the playful sides of the main characters.

“Flight of the White Wolf” is Rated M for Mature due to violence and some sexual content.

Whilst this book is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone .

Gavin Summerfield is a hot, sexy, shifter with a fear of flying ...........but he needs to access the wilderness of northern Minnesota to track down his suspect and flying in is the only option .
Amelia White is the last shifter he expect to see again, but she turns out to be a late replacement as his pilot on this trip .
Betrayal is soon apparent as the plane has been sabotaged forcing Amelia to make an emergency landing on one of the many wilderness Lakes .
The need to discover who has sabotaged the plane ........which of them was the intended victim ? ......and Gavin's determination to not only catch his suspect but also catch Amelia makes for an entertaining read full of suspense, fast paced action with plenty of hot romance thrown in .

I will certainly look for other books by this Author in this series .

I'm a bit conflicted about "Flight of the White Wolf". Note to readers - there's a lot of suspense in this one, but suspense that I wanted to skip rather than suspense that pulled me in. On one hand it's kind of sweet - Gavin and Amelia working together and falling in love, especially in wolf form, was really cute. On the other hand, the story felt a lot like I was being told what was happening rather than being immersed in the world. The suspense also really didn't work for me - towards the end I was happy to know how and what was going on, but I felt that it dragged on for longer than I was interested in. In a way, it felt like the story meandered and it also didn't have the humor that I expected from the author.

I've read a few Terry Spear books and liked them all enough to keep her on my buy list. When I was granted this NetGalley ARC I was delighted. Um, it was mostly disappointing. I guess they all can't be winners.

The first 2/3 of the book was just flat and lifeless. Here are two people who had a bad experience together, hostage cop Gavin, and unwilling girlfriend wolf shifter pilot Amelia, forced to fly jewel thief gang to freedom. 7 years later they meet again and Gavin is now an Arctic wolf shifter too, and a PI on a case having to fly to his case. He's uncomfortable flying because of the first crash she caused to stop the jewel thieves. The book is like an unemotional journal of their adventure. He did this, she did that, they set up camp together...We have clues thrown at us about his case, who caused the crash, is his client's husband having an affair, discovering who she is since she's not forthcoming about the fact she was the pilot 7 years ago. The story picks up and gets more interesting as they finally begin to put the pieces of the mystery together, as does the passion between them. I started to care. I have to say it's the most complicated story resolution I think I have ever read. You won't believe it if you manage to finish the book!

Thank you Sourcebooks for the ARC of this book for my honest review. I really hope I get the opportunity to try another of her stories because they have been great before.

Flight of the White Wolf takes us back into the lives of friends who had been turned, most without knowing what was happening and then an on purpose turning to keep the group of friends solid, together in this new world. This time it’s Gavin’s turn to discover what his destiny is with a woman he feels he should know but cannot place. His current private investigator case will have him facing one of his fears – flying. Even before he became a wolf he hated airplanes. But this time there is no choice. While the pilot is familiar, he”s not so trusting for he’s getting an off feeling from Amelia. Add in a plane crash and his worst fear is realized. It soon becomes obvious that this was no accident, and things suddenly take a more dangerous turn.

Fate or destiny or just dumb stupid luck has Amelia facing a man she’s run into twice already. He doesn’t seem to remember one time, but he definitely will recall the other.. Since Amelia last encountered Gavin it seems he’s been turned, and now her life is going to get interesting. She’s holding on to secrets, he’s not trusting her and together that mistrust between them could end up getting them killed. Everything is not as it seems as Gavin and Amelia begin to acknowledge that connection, that spark between them. Mates? Neither would have seen that coming. Now they just have to survive to figure out the personal parts… like, mates?

There is a sense of fate bringing Gavin and Amelia back together time and time again… maybe until they get it right. The mystery of who sabotaged the plane, who the good guys or bad guys really are, one amazing dog and some truly adorable puppies will move Flight of the White Wolf along quite enjoyably. I always expect to be drawn into Terry Spear’s world and this was no exception. While some might say you could read this story on its own, I really believe to get the full enjoyment and understanding from it you need to at least have read the earlier books. Legend of the White Wolf starts this entire long series with sub-series emerging along the way, and Dreaming of a White Wolf Christmas will not only give you a few holiday smiles but a really good story as well. It’s a suggestion only, I mention it because I’ve enjoyed this entire long set of series and those two additional books will answer questions you may have. But as always, it’s up to you and your need to know what is in the past books.

I completely enjoyed my time in this world once again and would not hesitate to recommend Flight of the White Wolf or the entire series to any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance reader. You’ll find intriguing plots, steamy sexy encounters with true mates, interesting secondary characters who have or will shine in their own books and simply a damn good story.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

This is not the first time I have read this author's stories. Her stories are very good. The plot itself was great.

This one however could not grab my attention as much as the others. I felt I was more into their internal thoughts then action itself. I am hoping the next book in the series is much better.

When I was first introduced to Terry's books a few years ago I have no idea what I was getting myself into and all I have to say is that I love her books. Each one is new and exciting. Its like a drug to me that I have to have it and read it asap. Looking for something new with paranormal shape shifting wolves then I highly recommend this.

Another great book in the series. This is Gavin and Amelia's story. Nice to see a story set in Minnesota, instead of always in Alaska. Yes, we have wolfs here too. A fast paced and well written story, that kept me reading to the end, almost in one setting. Highly recommend this book and author and series. If you like paranormal romances you will like this one too.

Gavin was a PI who had been a Seattle cop before he was a PI. He was also an artic shift shaping wolf. He and his fellow PIS had been bitten and turned. Gavin hated flying as he had been in an airplane crash when he had traded places with a very pregnant woman and had been taken hostage at a jewel heist. But Gavin had to sometimes fly for a case. Eleanor Dylon was a cosmetic heiress and she says she is sure her husband is cheating on her but he has to be caught so she could start a divorce and keep all her inheritance. Her husband Conrad was going on a company canoe trip and all provisions were being provided. So Gavin had to fly in and catch Gavin . Gavin and his fellow PI’s had a thriving business going. Eleanor said gavin had to be the one to take this case as she had looked into him and said gavin had an outstanding track record. Gavin’s pilot ended up being Amelia as her father had to take out a different group. Then the plane malfunctioned and crashed. But before it sank they got out and some provision even a big Saint Bernard pup. Gavin couldn’t believe he had been in a second plane crash. Then he realized why the other woman looked so familiar as she was the one flying the plane in the first crash. Gavin doubted Amelia but she also doubted him but soon they believed each other. Gavin also found out Amelia was white arctic wolf and was born a shape shifter and was called royal as was her family. There was a strong attraction between Amelia and gavin. Soon Amelia said she would be Gavin’s P I assistant.
Excellent book and I loved it. I loved the plot and the pace and the paranormal part and didn’t want to put this down. This kept my attention form the first page until the last. I loved Amelia and gavin together . I felt this was a well written white arctic wolf romance with just enough intrigue and drama added to it. I love Terry Spears novels and this one didn’t disappoint. I hope to read many more. I loved the characters and the twists and turns in this book and I highly recommend.

I was excited to get this one to read it had been awhile since I had read any of her books with loving them alot. This one starts out with giving you the bases with it centering around Gavin and Amelia. As their story builds with another drama that unfolded for them I soon realized when it comes to the circumstances some can take too long to get anywhere with it. I had hoped it would not be the case here but it was. I loved the characters but it was what was going on that lagged a bit in places. I would find I wanted to skip too much to get to somewhere else. I did like the mystery with I too wanting the answers on why in the first place. I also knew this author could bring it to a good finish so I kept in it and liked the ending.

Flight of the White Wolf
by Terry Spear
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What a Magnificent book to read. You will be very empress with this story, it's a page turner from the beginning to the last page. This is my first book by Terry Spear , she is a great storyteller. The way she writes is so entertaining. I read this book in one sitting from top to bottom, I could not put it down. I felt as I was in story alone with the characters. The story is fantastic, full of action and suspense that's pace just right along with a perfect flow of words. The characters relationship are fully involved and adds depth to the story. Terry Spears has the creative ability to build a great world with awesome characters that is very entertaining. The scenes description will become so real to you that it will be totally amazing while you read herwith books. The Flight of the White Wolf is about a newly turned male White Artic Wolf and a female White Artic Wolf. Gavin Summerfield and Amelia White are force to work together when they find out they are mates. What I also enjoyed about this story is the suspense but there is only a small amount of sensual heat if you are interested in the pages burning with lots of steamy scenes this isn't the story for you. But if you enjoy like I do a great suspenseful story you will really appreciate this story.

Terry Spear is at it again with another werewolf romance that had me soaring through an adventure filled romance.

Gavin and Amelia are electrifying characters that grab reader’s attention and refuse to let go. Their relationship is full of strong and hot sexual tension, emotional pitfalls and thrilling danger. The couple has to make decisions that affect their personal as well professional lives and that will of course impact their families and friends which adds lots of depth to the story and has readers holding their breath in anticipation of their happily ever after decision.

The suspense builds throughout the story as twists and turns keep readers as well as Gavin and Amelia guessing as to just who the enemy is and what their true motives are. This fast paced plot is full of adrenaline pumping adventure and thrills including plane crashes and really keep readers on edge and has just enough super sweet moments to keep the heart well satisfied as well not to mention makes the readers fall for the characters even more.

Terry Spear brings the wonderful Heart of the Wolf series which includes the White Wolf series, the Silver Town Wolves, the Highland Wolves and the Billionaire Wolves, to brilliant life with well written words, vivid imagery and fascinating characters that all keep me coming back for more. It is a favorite of mine and I always love becoming immersed in the stories as they unfold and I found Flight of the White Wolf to be one very spellbinding read and since I just can’t get enough, I can’t wait to read the next one.

This is Book 2 in the White Wolf series. It can be read as a stand-alone book. Gavin meets Amelia in an unexpected way. The first time is when she crashed the plane that they are on. The second time she is naked and Taser’s him as he’s trying to help her out. So, you would think that the third time would have to be the charm, right? Yeah, keep thinking that. This book keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat from page 1 and until you reach the last page. It’s full of all kinds of things: plane crashes, romance, sabotage and the cutest dogs. What more can you ask for? I really enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more about the Artic wolves. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Netgalley.
