I thought this book was cute. I liked the character growth throughout and the storyline in general was done really well. I like road trip stories, so this one was fun to read.

This story was good! It didn’t blow me out of the water, but it was enjoyable to read. I was definitely expecting a bit more from it, so it did fall a little short, but overall I am still pleased with this read and would recommend to a friend.

I was hoping for something more deep then this turned out to be. It was fun but not really my style on the grand scheme of things.

I would love to thank NetGalley, Cynthia Weil and Tanglewood Publishing for this ARC in exchange of an honest review.

Unfortunately this book didn't resonate with me. I'm outgrowing YA that is predictable.
The premise did sound really interesting, but I did not manage to get very far until I realised this is not a book I will continue.

However, this could be other's favourite book, so take this mini-review with a grain of salt.

Sibling 1 throws blenders and plays guitar. Sibling 2 is allergic to everything and is into magic. Sibling 3 is a varsity swimmer with a group of female fans. Enough said.

The only thing they have in common is their biological father, and the only thing they can agree on is that they all want to meet him.

My thoughts:
After reading the blurb I was hoping for a deep emotional read but what I found was cheesy childish attitudes it felt like. The siblings seemed way more immature than I expected them to be.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

3.5 stars. A road trip with 3 siblings searching for their biological father was the premise that drew me in. I was excited about their family dynamics and the whole donor aspect. Overall the road trip was filled with wild adventures which will entertain the YA audience.

I really enjoyed this. It felt extremely relatable to me especially since I have also been trying to figure out who my dad is. KT is a bright, gifted person and the main protagonist. She and 2 other friends are trying to find out who their biological fathers are. It's filled with a lot of teen drama, but that's typical for a YA read. I found it a delight.

#806novel #NetGalley

Three siblings go on a road trip to find out who their father is. All they know is 806 is the number of the sperm donor.

Well I was sucked in at road trip.

I enjoyed this quick journey as the siblings get to know each other and I enjoyed joining in on their quest. I won't give away if they found out dad's identity or not, you'll have to read to find out.

A really entertaining book!

My thanks to Netgalley for the complimentary book in exchange for an honest review.

I love a coming to age story, but this one wasn’t my favorite one. This story is about 3 teens looking for their biological father. During their search the character development would have been appreciated, but luckily the author just chose to make everything jus a bunch of exaggerated teen drama. Maybe his is a sight that I’ve outgrown YA drama

I really enjoyed this book! It was totally different from anything I'd read before. I loved the banter, the bond as the siblings spent more time with each other, and as they found their father. A really lovely read that I would highly recommend!

I unfortunately was not able to read and review this book before the digital ecopy expired. The synopsis sounds great though, so I will be buying a copy of my own to read soon!

This honestly feels like a book i’ve read plenty of times before. Although I can see this book being impactful for those who aren’t biologically related to their families, It just felt like a story i’ve already read.

This YA story is about 3 half siblings, high schoolers, taking a road trip to find their sperm donor father. While the adventures were unrealistic and a bit 'out there', it was entertaining and, at times, witty. I was not thrilled with the characters, although the message for YA is positive. You shouldn't judge others. This is a quick, easy read. The character development is shallow. The story focuses on the search and the journey. Thank you, Netgalley, for this read. 3 Stars

I've read siblings stories where the plot leads them to a parent they want to find. The premise of this seemed to be that their differences would bring them together for one common goal. Overall, it was too cliche.

This book at first seemed so exciting and I had really high expectations for the story going in. Unfortunatley, it wasnt as exciting as it seemed. It was light and a quick coming of age story about 3 teens trying to find their biological father. The characters were not realistic enough for my liking and some parts of the story just werent good.

I liked this book a lot. It's a YA about sperm donor "children" (teenagers) connecting and trying to find out more about their dad. It's a positive story which doesn't need bad language to get across serious or disappointing feelings. Recommended.

A roadtrip-book? Sign me tf up!

I read the description of this book and it being about self-discovery and three highschool students on a roadtrip to finding out who their biological dad is, I thought why not give it a try.

But sadly, after only a couple of pages I already knew that this book would not be my cup of tea. The writing style was quite boring and bland, there weren't a lot of descriptions or just ways to make the story more interesting. Everything was pretty straight to the point and man, was this book cliché and mushy. I mean, some people dig it, but those "family-over-everythig" "my-family-is-the-best" "family-goals" and "siblings-stick-together" kinda stories are just really not my thing. Especially when the protagonist heavily disliked her siblings in the beginning and in the end they're all a big and loving family.

Let me talk about the protagonist, wow, I really did not like her attitude and thoughts at all. I could not relate to her, and her being mean for no reason was just not necessary in my opinion. She was this kind of emo, vegetarian, "save-the-planet"-girl that tries to be mean, dark and out of reach, even though she's actually a nice girl with no need to be so rude. I mean, maybe she was so mean in the beginning so that her character could develop more visibly and the reader can really notice that she has changed, but for me that was not necessary.
She'd also preach to every one to stop eating dead animals and personally there is nothing that annoys me more than people who do exactly that. I mean, it's amazing that she tries to do her part in working towards a better and greener environment, but there are other and better ways to convince people to stop eating meat or reducing their meat consumption. Just pointing fingers and saying "don't eat anything that has a face" doesn't really do the trick. Also I really do not like the hate-to-love trope which is also present in the book. The main character's eyes are suddenly openend after a realisation and she then falls in love with the guy she was hating on the entirety of the story. Everything only in a matter of pages, which is quite sudden in my eyes but I mean some people dig it.

The book's lesson on finding one's own path and that everything happens for a reason was okay but still too mushy and a bit weird in my eyes. I cringed internally when reading those passages, but I mean I'm just not good with those messages in books in general so that's just taste.

Even though some parts of the book were unrealistic and weird, I still like some of the other passages from when they were on the road. Their quest of finding their bio dad was nice and not predictable at all times, which made it interesting with all of the turns it had.

The book had some good parts, but due to the main character and the topics covered in the book I did not enjoy it as much as I'd hoped to. It was too cliché, mushy and predictable for me, but if that's exactly what you're looking for in a book, you should really check this one out. To the readers with a taste similar to mine, I'd skip this book and read something else instead.
