Dan became increasingly dismal about his life as a dom. Feeling no spark with any of the subs he has played with, he realizes he wants more. Exactly what he wants more of, he doesn't know, only that he needs something different.

Debbie is caught in the laundry mat enjoying a late nite ride on the washing machine while reading her steamy book. What are the chances that a gorgeous man would walk in? Awkwardly, Debbie tries to cover, but Dan sees what she is reading. He propositions her about learning what BDSM is all about. Debbie in intrigued so she says yes.

Dan and Debbie embark on an exploration that turns out to be so much more than sex. These two have an instant chemistry and an instant respect for each other. I liked how Debbie wasn't shy about her questions, and Dan seemed to be more and more enchanted with her. They were real, likeable characters.

The book was a bit woody for my tastes though. The sexy scenes were hot and I totally enjoyed the story. Please beware of the disclaimers prior to reading.

I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of the book from NetGalley. The rating and review are my personal opinion.

Sorry not my cup of tea at all, I really disliked the weird words used for sex etching & just couldn't connect with the characters at all.

I thought this was very interesting take on BDSM it seemed more factual than most of the stuff. I appreciated the links to obscure references and song suggestions for each chapter.

We all know that the HEA and storylines in most BDSM or contemporary fiction books are a little "too good to be true", however, this story was just too unbelievable for me. It may be that a true, practicing D, isn't afraid to start a BDSM education in a laundry mat, but the fact that the h/s is just happy to jump on such a "band wagon" shows very little self respect to me. I get that a D/s relationship is about submission, losing control or times of humiliation, however, that comes about when you've learned you can trust the D or know they've been pre-screened through a club or private group.

Although I did finish the book as I am obligated to do, in exchange for a review on an ARC, it was difficult to get through and I skimmed over a lot. Had it been a book that I purchased, I would have stopped reading after the first 20-30 pages.

Debbie didn’t realize what was missing in her life until she met Dan. She also was exactly what Dan needed to pull him out of his slump. This was a steamy hot story that flowed well. An enjoyable read.

This was an okay read for me but it did drag quite a lot in places. This may be a great read for some but it just did not quite work for me.I really did not like Dan calling her Dirt and he was just up himself with wanting her to call him god.

If your choosing this book based solely on the title you will be dissatisfied as it is not mearly a dirty BDSM novel.
The story has clear descriptive of BDSM practices , rules, and how the participants feel throughout the various stages invoked but it really is more of an intelligent story of the human condition.
I especially enjoyed how the female lead character speaks to the reader as a reader herself , challenging you to demand more of your literature than the modern force feeding if cliche crap.

Poorly written and disjointed plot--it's a good thing I didn't have to pay for it. Highly disappointing.

I would say this is a BDSM book with a twist. Dan and Debbie meet at a laundry mat and he introduces her to a whole new world. Dan has several rules that he normal follows but with Debbie he seems to let them fly out the window. There are some very different and interesting conversations that take place and I did find the story entertaining. Dan and Debbie have great chemistry and even though the story could have used a bit more editing I did find it a good read.
