Early readers will really love this book! The colorful photos pop from the page. The text is informative and not in the least bit dry. Any dolphin-loving kiddo will truly love this book. Even my teens enjoyed looking through it when they thought I wasn’t watching.

I gratefully received this book as an eARC from the author, publisher, and NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.

Great interesting facts and photographs about Dolphins. The 'quiz yourself' pages and the glossary are an attractive addition to the book.. Thanks to the publisher and netgalley

My favorite animals are dolphins. Would you like to learn about them? That is how this book begins. Each page has beautiful photos of my favorite animal and some information for you to learn more about them. Throughout there are questions so you can see if you learned and the answers are at the end of the book.

I received a free e-copy of this book in order to write this review, I was not otherwise compensated.

What are the odds that I open this book just as Flipper is on TV? (Seriously, that just happened!)
As it should be, the title tells you what you need to know. Told with plenty of lovely photos, and despite this being for children, I did learn some interesting facts about an animal I have studied thoroughly for years.
There are small tests given throughout with the answers in the back, along with a glossary.

Kids will love to learn about this magnificent sea creature. The book is full of fun and educational information. This book is one in the "My Favorite Animal Series" - all so worthy of reading. It's important to include non-fiction books in your child's book collection and this one would be a wonderful addition.

The reading level is higher but the illustrations will have little ones hooked as they watch the Dolphins swimming effortlessly with their pods, obtaining their daily food and interacting playfully with their world and others around them.

I love the fact that the author includes "quiz yourself" pages that encourages the reader to retain the information that has been presented to them. The book is well-written for that age level and the wonderful images enrich the presented text. Another plus is the glossary that is found at the end of the book along with the answers to the quiz questions.

This is a high quality book to which I give a high five and I highly recommend it.

This is another nice addition to the "My Favorite Animal" series. There are some great facts and wonderful photographs of Dolphins to illustrate the information. I actually learned a couple of things from this book such as the fact that Orcas (better known as killer whales) are actually dolphins. A good non-fiction book for young readers and listeners to learn about this mammal. This would make a nice addition to class and school libraries.

This is a nice book for kids who enjoy non-fiction. The reading level is definitely upper elementary, but the beautiful pictures will also engage kids who struggle with the text. The text is mostly facts, but there are several "quiz yourself" sections to challenge the reader to retain information. Overall, well written and accompanied by beautiful images.

I love this book. Any child would learn and enjoy this book. It had facts but also had questions within the book to make sure the child is comprehending the information.

Five stars. Engaging, well-photographed, fun, and educational. Each page spread features a simple fact (or facts) as well as a beautiful photo of a dolphin (or dolphins). Learn about where they live, how they breathe, eat, sleep, give birth, hunt for food, and play. Simple (very) quiz questions about a fact revealed on a previous page appear throughout the book. The answers along with a glossary appear at the back of the book.
