Eve is the product of years of manipulation. Her parents brought her into a cult when she was only ten years old, and at twenty-one, it's the only life she is accustomed to. The leader, Elijah, a "mystery covered by fantastical deceit and beautiful lies", takes special interest in her. He has a plan and needs to use her to ensure it's success. Lives are ruined and are souls tarnished in his demented scheme.

I realize my review is pretty vague, but this is a book that needs to be read with as little details known as possible. It's shocking, it's seriously screwed up, and it's phenomenal in its darkness. Five dysfunctional stars!

Fuuuuccccccckkkk woman...this book was jaw dropping and I faaareeaaaking loved it!!!

After every read by you I always have to ask myself when I am done..."What the hell is going on in your head of yours??" lol If I could just be a fly on the wall of your brain..haahaaa

"What could be done with a woman who didn't even know her own identity? How could I cure years of brainwashing or torment, abuse or restrictions? What had he done to break her so completely?

Illusions of Evil was mind-blowing!!! You are sucked right into the story and then boom, things change, you are left with your mouth hanging open, you can not read the pages fast enough because you have to find out your question.....What the Hell just happened here? lol Yes this book will keep you on the edge of your seat and you will find you can't hardly put it down. Goodness it was such a good read and a bit cray cray!!

I gave this book 5 iScream Cones. I want to tell you more about the story, but really I don't want to give anything away. It was sooo good just going in blind, and of course that is always my fav way to go!! Just know that if you love a good taboo book and a bit..of some darkness as well, ummm you are going to absolutely love this one!!! Great job Lily White...Great Job!!!

I loved the idea of the Catholic priest going rogue and embracing his sinful nature once again!

Not so much
This story was really erotica fiction (not romance) with a quick pace, but the damsel-in-distress theme was too heavily played up for me, as was the "you're a whore" banter that was constantly vocalized by the leader of manwhores himself, Elijah. I'd hoped to add Elijah to my love-to-hate-villains list, but by the end of this book, I found that I didn't care much for him or any of the other characters. Jacob was okay, but I wasn't wowed by him or some of his scaredy cat ways. It also seemed like most of the side characters were planted without real purpose and were easily disposable.

► Ultimately, this story didn't grab me as passionately as some of this author's other stories and I craved more characterization. There were some parts that didn't quite add up and nagged at me, but hopefully those questions will be addressed in the next book to be released.

WOW! This book had me hooked from the first chapter. I couldn't put it down.
Being a Catholic who was raised in those values (including the guilt) I could feel what these characters were feeling when it came to this faith and the trappings of following words of a religious leader.
Lily White wove a wonderful, and intense, story. Page after page I was drawn into the lives of these people and tensed with their drama, cried when they were devastated, and felt relief when there was pause. I caught my breath and read some more.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves sexual stories, believable characters, and well written words.

Some might find this book slightly unhinged, i on the other hand couldn't put it down.

This book is has alot of twists and turns. The sex scenes are smoking hot 🔥🔥

The characters and story flowed perfectly. I found the characters to be a little unbalanced, some may find them mentally unstable, but this works perfectly in this book.
