This is the second game in the Players Game series. This book could easily be read on a stand alone basis, however, I would personally recommend reading Fraternize first to aid the reading enjoyment of this book.

This was another great read from RVD and I really enjoyed this one. The story grabbed me right from the start and it held me captive until the end. It was full of romance, there was an air of mystery running through it, full of humour and as always there was that one moment that just packed such an emotional punch and can I say that I love that RVD is getting a little sexier with her books without it being too much.

Infraction was a really enjoyable read with a fab story and wonderful characters. 4.5 stars from me and a definite recommendation

Yay it is time for Miller's story and it is so good. A hot and tempting romance story about pretending to be someones boyfriend,even if that hot person is a sports star and a friend of your brothers. That ladies and gents only leads to serious sexual tension and emotions running high. But will either character survive the pit falls of pretending to be in a relationship if the emotions start to become more than pretend? You so need to read this book, and series, Miller is my fave so far from this series.

This is the second book from the Players Game series and follows Miller and Kinsey (with older, protective, Big Brother Jax thrown in). Jax asks fellow teammate Miller to "fake date" his little sister and team cheerleader to help ward off other men. Unknowingly to Jax, Miller and Kinsey "hooked up" months before. This is the classic friend and little sister story, however the way Rachel writes the book it will have you laughing as well as crying. You get multiple points-of-view from the characters to help you fully become involved in the story. I very much recommend this book.

Infraction by Rachel Van Dyken was one sweet, sexy and beautiful romance done right. Van Dyken truly captured the connection between Miller and Kinsey. Their chemistry was tangible and palpable but Miller is very well aware that they must keep their relationship a secret from Jax, who is Kinsey’s older brother. And so when Miller and Kinsey have to keep their relationship a secret, what happens when the truth is revealed?

Fun, sexy, heartwarming and had an emotional pull to keep readers entertained and drawn to RVD’s writing and characters. Infraction is an example of best-friends little sister romance done right with all the feels to keep you smiling and wanting more.

With a soft spot for Miller because of the first book, one could say I was very anxious for his story to play out and I was far from disappointed with the result. Infraction took the fake girlfriend trope and layered it with Miller and Kinsey’s tumultuous history, bringing with it a sizzling sexual tension and a deep sense of hurt and miscommunication from their past. No one could possibly resist these two pretending to be something they refuse to admit they want to be, least of all me, and it played out so wonderfully.

Having met Kinsey in the first book, there wasn’t an inkling of how much we didn’t know of her until you opened these pages. Her character came alive with each bit of information gleaned, and with it came an even deeper understanding of not just her but her effortless connection with Miller. The constant magnetic pull between them was palpable, and through it all there was this sense of an emotional pull that zinged between them unknowingly. Not only was it romantically satisfying (read: steamy), it was also heartwarming-ly filling, too. Infraction was an effortlessly enjoyable read with a love story that enthralled and delighted. It was fun, sexy, and the kind of story you read in one sitting.

I adored Miller and Kinsey in Fraternize and was thrilled they would be featured in the second installment of Players Game. After the heartache Miller endured with not getting the girl, I wanted to see his chance at happiness. I liked Infraction but, it didn't evoke the emotions I usually experience with this author's work. I never truly felt the chemistry between Miller and Kinsey's romance.

The biggest issue is Jax's chapters and the secondary love story. It changed the flow of the book and distracted from Miller and Kinsey. These two deserved the full focus of readers, and Jax's over involvement seems to the the reason I didn't feel the connection of Kinsey and Miller's romance. Jax's storyline should have been omitted or saved for an additional book in the series. After knowing so much about Miller, I felt cheated in regards to Kinsey's past. Her story is compelling, but it felt rushed.

As with all RVD's books, I enjoyed the banter, witty dialogue, and supporting cast. It was fun seeing Sanchez and Em again too. I look forward to the next installment of the series. This wasn't an RVD fav, but I wouldn't discourage anyone from reading it.

Infraction by Rachel Van Dyken is the second book in the Players Game Series. Every book can easily be read as a standalone, I recommend to read the books in order. Book one in the series, Fraternize is Emerson and Grant's story.
Infraction tells Miller and Kinsey's story. Quinton Miller is Emerson's ex and still a bit hung up on her. Kinsey is just like Emerson a cheerleader and her friend. She's also the sister of Jax, one of the pro football players. Sounds confusing? But isn't. I started reading and was sucked into the story real quick. Miller and Kensey share a past. And their chemistry is through the roof high. And when Jax suggests they should fake date both agree.
Infraction is full of twists and unexpected turns. The writing is great and I love the story and the characters. I could feel the characters emotions in the words. I give 5 stars and can't wait to read Jax and Harley's story

OMG, I was so not prepared for the emotions in this book and I freaking LOVED it!! I have been looking forward to Miller and Kinsey’s story since Fraternize and it was fantastic.
I fell in love with Miller right from the start and my heart broke for him. I will admit, I really wanted Fraternize to end a different way but hey, we don’t always get what we want, right? But, OMG there is definitely some intense chemistry and crazy, powerful feelings between him and Kinsey that make me a true believer in their romance.
This book has it all – second chances, lust, love, romance, humor, devotion, friendship, heartache, loss, healing. I was completely wrapped up in the storyline and could not put the book down. It was definitely one of those don’t-mess-with-mom-while -she-is-reading moments for the entire book! I laughed, I cried, I mourned, and I loved right along with the amazing characters Rachel brought to life.
I also love that we get to see Jax find his HEA – two hot and steamy romances in one book – you CANNOT go wrong here! This is a must one-click and while you’re at it, make sure to pick up book one. Kudos to Rachel Van Dyken on an outstanding two book series!

Infraction is the second book in the Player’s Game. Two of my favorite tropes in romance novels are football books and brother’s best friend books. This story hit both those marks and did it so well. Infraction had all the secret love I yearn for along with a heartwarming story of how to grieve and love after and during a loss. While dealing with a heavy topic the book never got overly dramatic or angst, instead it delivered a fun story with a good dose of heart in the back story.

Infraction was a fun read that reminded me how much I love football books. Rachel Van Dyken did an excellent job of capturing the excitement of the game while developing a unique story. Another great installment into a series I am quickly getting hooked on.

This is a great addition to the series and as a bonus you will also get to experience what happens when Harley enters Jax’s life which rather than distracting from the story only makes it better. Infraction is the second book in the Players Game series by the incredibly talented Rachel Van Dyken. Right before I read one of her books, I say to myself "She can't top the last one. No way. No how." And then she does! I really didn't think she could do it this time. Ok, I kinda knew she could. Infraction isn't just a football romance. It's a friends to lovers, forbidden story with lust, foreplay, humor, pain, sadness and loss. I laughed out loud and cried big fat sobbing tears. We know and love Quinton Miller and Kinsey Romanov from Fraternize. Miller is Em's best friend and Kinsey is Jax's sister.
I had a strong crush on Miller so I knew his story was going to be great. What I didn't realize was that we were also going to get Jax's story! He was so hard to read and I wasn't sure what was going on inside that sexy brain of his, but I love him. Hard. Miller and Kinsey shared a night together in Vegas and then she left town. Now she's back and neither of them stopped thinking about the other. There was passion and much more going on between them. When Jax wants them to fake date, they do it, but they both know it's a mistake. How can they pretend to be together when they both want to be together for real. But they can't because Jax will kill Miller. Or can they? Their attraction is too strong and they can't seem to stay away from each other. Fake kisses turn into real ones. Fake flirting becomes real and the real attraction takes over. Big time. When they are all faced with Kinsey's dad's illness, Miller has to face his past. He needs to move on and stop running. Kinsey needs him. They need each other. Will they be able to do real? Forever? Will Jax find his happily ever after too? I loved this story. So. Much. Every character. Every second. Every word. This is the second book in this author’s Players Game series. If you haven’t read Fraternize, I highly recommend reading it first. While this is a standalone book, the relationships between all the characters make more sense, and are richer, if you read book 1 (Fraternize) first.

Infraction picks up after Miller has slept with Jax’s sister, Kinsey, and helped send her off to Europe during the off-season. She’s hurt, of course, but comes home determined to not let it get to her. Determined to move on. But her emotionally abusive ex-boyfriend has made the team, and Jax asks Miller to fake date her to keep her “safe” from the ex’s attempts to get her back and/or hurt her. Miller agrees, and drama ensues!

There are a couple of plots going on during this book that make it all twisty and half romcom, half romantic drama. First, you have Kinsey and Miller’s history that isn’t quite history. He’s still hurt (more like hurt pride) about losing his best friend to… well, his other best friend. And he just doesn’t think a relationship is where he wants to go. But the chemistry with Kinsey is hard to deny. And hard to stay away from.

Then there’s the plot where Jax really sent Kinsey to Europe to keep her from finding out that their dad is sick. He has cancer. And the treatments have stopped working. Their dad is dying. When she comes home, Jax attempts to keep just how sick their dad really is from her. But she’s righteously furious when she finds out the 2 men she thought she could trust (Jax and Miller) have kept such a huge secret from her.

Both Miller and Kinsey do a lot of soul searching to figure out who they are now and who they want to be. They also have to figure out if they want to keep the fake dating ruse going or really give it all to a real relationship.

NICUnurse’s Rating: Someone once said that a book that won’t leave you, even after you’re read, “The End” is a 5 star read. So, I give this book 5 stars. Why? Because this one stayed with me. Like the emotions it drew out stayed with me for days. I could actually put myself in Kinsey’s shoes when it came to two things: 1. The ex-boyfriend and the emotional abuse and 2. Her feelings as she’s dealing with her dad’s illness and death. I’ve been in both situations and the feelings the author describes Kinsey having around these issues were spot on. I literally sobbed through several of the scenes about her dad, as I recently lost my own dad.

My favorite scene from this book is when they are all gathered in her dad’s hospital room and he’s eating chocolate chip cookies and loving every single bite. It’s one of the scenes where I was sobbing uncontrollably. It’s so real. So gut-wrenchingly real.

So… yeah… you’re not going to be sorry you took the time to read this book!

Infraction is a book that is full of all the emotions a roller coaster ride can offer.

Miller is the tight end for the Bellevue Bucks and Kinsey is a Bucks cheerleader and the sister to their quarterback, Jax. After a celebration in Vegas where the Bucks won the championship game, Miller and Kinsey end up in bed together. Then he helps Jax ship her off to Europe for the summer. Once she returns home, Jax comes up with the idea that miller and Kinsey should “date” so that he can focus on football and his dad’s health. Will Miller and Kinsey be able to stay on each side of the line that’s been drawn or will everything go up in smoke?

Rachel definitely hit all the emotions with this book. The book is full of the passion between two people while also revealing the bond that is between the players and the loves of their lives. We even get to see the softer side of Jax in Infraction and that makes me want more of him.

Wow, I never would have guessed this story going the direction that it did. It is two amazing love stories intertwined into one phenomenal book. I don’t want to say anything about the storyline and give anything away. Just know that Rachel has such a way with words that one minute I would be smiling and laughing, than the next I would be tearing up and getting emotional. I loved this book the whole way through, even though it made me ugly cry towards the end. You know you have an amazing book when it makes you feel so many different emotions right along with the characters, and that is exactly what happened in Infraction.

My heart can’t take anymore. Rachel Van Dyken has broken my heart and ripped it to shreds and then taped it back together. Miller and Kinsey are the sweetest couple and I love watching their romance grow and change throughout Infraction. RVD’s words pull you in and keep you glued to each page watching and just waiting to see what will happen next.

What absolutely killed me though is the storyline with Kinsey’s dad. I currently have the same thing going on in my life with a family member and that is the reason it took me so long to get through the book. I would be in tears, sobbing, and wouldn’t be able to see the words on the page any longer. But, that’s because it was personal to me so you may or may not be a snotty mess while reading this newest RVD book.

Just know going in that this book is fantastic because you not only get Miller and Kinsey, you get Jax. Jax is something else and I cannot wait to hear what you think of his storyline.

Rachel Van Dyken’s signature style bleeds through the words in the story and it’s emotional and funny and sweet. In a word this book is perfect. It’s a great follow up to Fraternize and high on my must-read list.

Quinton Miller was the man left rejected by his best friend, Emerson when she fell for his team mate, Sanchez. But they all remain friends and work together for the same NFL team.

But when tight end, Miller hooks up with their quarterback's little sister, Kinsey, that has even more potential for damage. Miller finds it easier to bail when things get complicated, so he pushes Kinsey away after their hot night. But things get more challenging when the season begins again and as a team cheerleader she is front and center tempting him everywhere. Especially when her brother asks him to fake date her to protect her from other guys.

Miller is a good guy, but he's broken and afraid of more loss in his life. So it is much easier to try to stay detached and avoid real feelings. But immersed in this situation, he's feeling guilt, loss, fear, and drowning in lies. And also becoming more attached than she should be.

Kinsey's got secrets about her past too...several of them. They shaped her life and made her parents and brother overprotective. But she is resilient, sassy, sweet, and just wants to live her own life. However her life seems to be full for crises.

Lines become blurred between what is fake and what is real. And all along they are lying to those they care about especially her brother/his friend and team mate. The potential for anger and hurt feelings is very high.

This also features Emerson and Sanchez from Fraternize, and her brother, Jax. His story is also a big part of this one including him getting a love interest. I was just as involved with them and I was with the main couple and it added more depth to this story.

This has humor and sexy times, but is also full of emotional situations. There are some twists and surprises. It is told in Miller, Kinsey, and Jax's points of view.

I actually liked this one better than the first book. I enjoyed the characters more now that I am more attached to them. It is a forbidden-friends-little-sister-love story that is sweet, sexy, and at times sad. But it also inspires you to embrace life and surround yourself with those you love and have each other's back.

I couldn't wait to read Miller's story as i really loved him in book 1, I really liked this one, I couldn't always connect to Kinsey but still overall she was a good character, Still the story was another hit, Rachel to me is an amazing writer and i for one can't wait for her next book.
