I didn’t finish this book. I thought it would be quite interesting but found the simple drawings a little creepy, and aimed at children I’m not sure they’d like them. I also felt that some of the rhymes were quite forced and it didn’t always flow well to make sure that the rhyming worked.

I expected this book to be cute and sweet but it wasn't and illustrations were so creepy. Rhymes also felt unbalanced.

The funny thing is I didn't care for the artwork or the stories. In fear of being biased against the illustrations I had my husband take a look since he's been reading a ton of children's book too, and he had the complete opposite reaction! He thought it looked fantastic and that it was super creative! It really just depends on your personality!

I was really disappointed with this one. The blurb promises beautifully hand-drawn illustrations, and based on the cover art I thought that seemed likely. However, the illustrations inside are not at all like the cover; rather they are like crude pencil sketches.

The stories themselves were just not my cup of tea. I did not find them to be joyful or light-hearted. The rhythm was off for me and that made this an unfun read.
