Love the message of this book! Anybody can be a superhero through good deeds and helping each other. Great book to have in your reading collection.

The premise of this book is that anyone can be a superhero if they believe in sharing, and are caring. It’s that simple. No special super powers, just the powers of your good deeds to others. The message is great, and the illustrations are fun. Overall not a bad book for your collection.

I forgot this story was about teaching kids to be confident in who they are and help others. It's so cute. The typesetting (which is often neglected) is perfect!!! The illustrations are colorful and fun. The story is an easy read and encourages kids to help others and be kind.

Lily wakes up happy to go to school, then promptly gets buried under a pile of clothes. She’s still happy, though, because she comes out of the pile fully dressed exactly as she wants to be. From there it moves to “What I did last summer” at school, and ends up with a bunch of her classmates helping her help others.
There’s a clever moment where the script is positioned to include the name on the dog’s collar.
I really liked the teacher, even if he was wearing a bowtie. He ends up getting wet.
The artwork is as bright and colorful as the message, like an 80s superhero cartoon, which just might be its inspiration. And I can’t help but be reminded of one of my favorite musicians, Lindsey Stirling, when I see this little girl. . .

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

You, too, can be a superhero! Everyone can be one!

I spotted this book at Netgalley and I just had to try it out. It was quite a bit different from what I expected though. Though more in the format. I thought this would be a normal children's book, but it is actually a beautifully illustrated picture book!

We meet Lily who has a skill to change clothes while being buried under a pile of clothes! She has a show and tell thing at school (I always love reading about those in books, though I am glad we don't have them here) and she thinks of something amazing.

You really don't need superpowers to be a superhero, as Lily shows her friends. One can be a superhero by doing daily stuff. Yep, by sharing and caring, donating stuff you don't want/need to relief funds, helping out if someone is bullied, and other things. It was great to see how the kids were first sceptical about the whole thing, but then turned very enthusiastic about the idea that they could help out the world.

They even start a Superhero club. And I can't wait to see what they will be doing in that club, how they will change their world.

The art is gorgeous, I just adore the style. It is cute, and the characters just leap off the pages!

I would recommend this book to everyone. It is really inspirational, and I am sure this will be a great read for kids or to use it in a classroom.

*thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

4 stars.
Such a positive happy little story. I think the little girl is pure sunshine. She sets a very good example for her classmates, getting them to help her, help other people. Its really a great thing to be teaching children. I liked too that her mother let her wear whatever she wanted to school. She was so bright and colourful, I had to just smile at her outfit. She is very self positive, which is such an important thing for a person to be. Given how positive a role model this little girl is, id definitely recommend it for other little girls. Plus the story is fun to read, the cover is eye catching and the idea behind the superheroes club is fantastic.
