Nadia Lee is brand new to me y'all and oh my god she was soooo freaking brilliant, sexy, hilarious, and crazy fun that I'm sorry I'm just reading her words for the very first time (but no worries I'm checking the back list).

The very first stunning book in the sweet darlings series...

That Man Next Door completely stole my heart in the most unexpected ways. This book was brilliantly penned and addicting right from the very start. I laughed, I giggled, I swooned, and I laughed some more. From the beginning these characters hooked me...but only in the best ways.

Jan Doe has been trying to lose her virginity but after the fifth failed attempt, she's moving on, grateful it's behind her...that is until Matt, (un)lucky number five comes back walking back into her life unexpectedly. What started out simple becomes anything but.

Love sometimes sneaks up when we least expect it. Beautiful. Sweet. Swoony. Romantic. Unforgettable. All of the feels. This book will have your heart racing and the smile permanently etched on your face.

I can promise now that I've popped my Nadia Lee book cherry...there's no looking back 😆

I highly recommend this book.

OMG! That Man Next Door is equal parts hilarious and sexy - which is a hard combination to master! Jan was a RIOT - silly and naive and cute and so in need of a man that appreciated her quirks and imagination. Turns out her neighbor, Matt, is just that man. This was such a fun story that unfurled in such an unexpected way. It was my first Nadia Lee book, but it won't be my last especially considering that this is the first in a new series. This is definitely a book that I can see myself re-reading repeatedly, especially when I'm in need of a pick me up! 4.5 out of 5 wine glasses.

I loved this sweet and sexy romantic comedy! I fell in love with the book and with Jan within the very first few pages. She was so down to earth and humble with a wicked sense of humor, really someone I would want to be friends with!

Jan is the normal twenty-two-year old, except she is still a virgin. She’s done everything thing she can to pick a man to lose her V card to, but she has had no success. She always bails. She is careful. She wants no strings and only attempts it when she is out of town. She doesn’t want to face the man again. She has a hot encounter with sexy stranger, Matt. Yet again, she couldn’t go through with it. She’s not worried because she won’t to see him again, even if she can’t stop thinking of him. However, it seems fate has other plans for her. Imagine her surprise when she discovers sexy Matt is not only her new neighbor but the new attorney for her family’s business. Yeah, things are about to get really interesting for Jan!

Without giving too much of the plot away, the chemistry and pull between these two characters is RED HOT! Their relationship isn’t all about lust, but at times, it’s very sweet. They are a couple I couldn’t help but root for. Jan lives a somewhat colorless life. She has wonderful friends, and her family loves her, but she is unsure of herself and her place in her family’s life. Matt brings color to her life and helps her trust others and herself. He gets her to step out of her comfort zone. In other words, he helps her spread her wings and fly!

This is another favorite read of 2017! It was not only a great read because of well-developed characters but was also very well-written and done in a way that kept those pages turning for me. I loved the addition of the some of the secondary characters, especially Jan’s BFF’s, Sammi and Michelle. I hope they will get their own stories at some point.

This was a good one. I laughed a lot while reading this book.It was one of my favorite parts about the book. For Jan when it rains it pours in her mind. I couldn't have pictured anyone more perfect then Matt for Jan. My heart goes out to Jan. She feels like the black sheep of the family and she has a hard time with intimacy. With the help of Matt can she realize she's worthy? It has it's funny light-hearted moments, but also has emotional deep moments. Also Jan and Matt have a ton of chemistry and the heat is scorching! I will also say Nadia Lee has gained a new reader.

A one night stand gone wrong and then haunted her, showing up in unexpected places. One place she really never imagined she would ever see the man she ran from was... Next Door.
Matt made a connection but after a night of passion where he could see the fear in her eyes he did the one thing he regretted, he let her go. He never imagined he would ever see her again. When he saw her at his new job, he knew, it was meant to be and he would prove it to her no matter the circumstances.
Thamando is what he was nick named, meaning that he was the man to close the deal for Jade, or so her friends tell her.
A ROMCOM that will have you in stitches this book is beyond funny and romantic. The heat that Matt generates when he looks at her and the kindness in his heart for the woman that almost got away, is why we read romances to begin with.

What a fantastic read by Nadia. I absolutely loved reading this book the way the main characters Matt & Jan acted with each other it was just lighthearted and fun the way it should be when 2 people are falling in love and aren't even aware of it. This was such a funny story and just a breath of fresh air. No spoilers here other than you just need to get this book if you haven't yet it's definitely a must read. Loved it. This is my first book by Nadia and I'm sooo looking forward to reading more from her.

That Man Next Door' by Nadia Lee is the First Book in the "Sweet Darlings Inc." series. This is the story of Jan Doe and Matt Aston. Jan has had 5 one night stand and is still a virgin—your probably wondering how? right.. Because she runs out on the guy before going through with it and never sees the guy again…. that’s until Matt. who is guy #5 she bailed on, he moves in next door and then shows up as the new guy where she works! Jan finds out that Matt is good friends with her cousin/boss David . Jan just hopes/ prays that her everyday look is enough to keep Matt in the dark of who she really is. But is it that she doesn’t want him to remember or does she want him to remember and then she get a 2nd chance to see if there is a chance when he knows who she is and a chance for the sparks to come alive. So many decisions, so little time. Plus Matt’s ex girlfriend is trying to make inroads back into his life. Will Jan ever pull her big girl panties up and stand up for what she wants or is she forever doomed to being 2nd best in everything= love, job and family
This book is fantastic ! I loved Jan and Matt’s love story and the secondary characters were wonderful...I hope to read Jan’s housemates - Sammi and Michelle -stories soon. They definitely brought additional flavor to an already sizzling story. I look forward to the next book in this new series.

My Rating: 4.8 stars *****

Jan makes my heart break! Her insecurities and self-doubt and self-consciousness make me want to hug her! And totally sympathize with her.

As you read from the synopsis, Jan wants to lose her virginity to a one-night Stand while out of town. Except for the 5th guy she’s with and she couldn’t “pull the trigger”, ends up moving in next door! Talk about embarrassment!

But Jan’s “situation” isn’t the only story in this book, there’s the story of her family, her friends and how Jan came to be the way she is.

Funny at times, sweet and hot at others, this is a great new series that I can’t wait for more of!

This book lived up to the advertisement of being a romantic comedy.

Ms. Lee gives us entertaining banter and dialogue that have us laughing one moment then fanning ourselves the next. Jan and her besties were hilarious! The scenes between Jan & Matt were a healthy mix of sweet, sexy & fun.

I loved Jan as a heroine, maybe because I could relate to her on so many levels. Getting inside her head was an adventure. Matt is a cool hero - quiet when needs be, but a master strategist. He helps to bring Jan to the realisation that she is enough - perfect as she is - and I love him for that.

I loved this book, and readily recommend it to eeveryone.

This was my first Nadia Lee book and I absolutely loved it! I was giggling pretty much from the start of the book, I mean how can you not when a young twenty-something virgin has had 5 one night stands? Yeah, a virgin who's had 5 one night stands. Jan has picked men for her previous one night stands based on the fact that she would never see them again, until One Night Stand #5 is back in her life in an unexpected way. The banter and chemistry between Jan and Matt is hilarious (the banter) and hot and sexy (both the banter and chemistry). Matt will make you swoon, he's smart (a Harvard-educated attorney), sexy (black hair, blue eyes), great manners and exhibits Alpha tendencies throughout the story. Jan's inner dialogue is hilarious at times, but there's no denying the chemistry between she and Matt, although there's a pesky ex who decides to show back up in the picture. The secondary characters bring a good balance to the story and I'm looking forward to reading more from this series as the books are released.

That Man Next Door was a sweet and funny book that I blew right through! There were some unexpected moments in this story that brought tears to my eyes. I find that the light-hearted novels tend to pack the most punch when you get down to the nitty gritty part of the story.

Matt and Jan were so freaking cute together! Jan is awkward and doesn't realize how beautiful and smart she truly is. All she wants to do is lose her virginity on a one night stand but always panics before she can get that far.

"He's all man and Matt and sweetness and all the things I didn't know I wanted."

Matt is sweet and charming, but also captivating and I adore the way he treated Jan.

That Man Next Door was an unexpected read that I will recommend to anyone looking for a fast paced story that packs a punch of feels. I can't wait to read the rest of the stories from Darlings Inc. The side characters were just as amazing as Jan and Matt.

Grab That Man Next Door today! *wink*

Nadia Lee did an incredible job with That Man Next Door!

I love romantic comedies this story did not disappoint. Jan was a super fun character and she had the best housemates anyone could ever ask for. Sammi and Michelle made it their mission to help Jan with her slight problem--she was still a virgin and in need of finding Mr. Right. Who knew, though, he'd show up next door.

Matt was certainly a dream guy and knew what he wanted in life. And how coincidental that he'd fall for Jan, one of his co-workers and neighbor. This guy...was super adorable and I really liked him.

I enjoyed the playfulness between Jan and Matt, the work drama, the ex-girlfriend interference, the best friends trying to save it all--it was just an overall delightful read. It was one of those stories that left you with a great big smile on your face at the end.

Nadia Lee is a new author to me and I'll certainly be checking out her other works.

Fun, sexy, and addictive new adult romantic comedy mixed with a neighbours twist

That Man Next Door was a fun, sexy, and addictive new adult romantic comedy mixed with a neighbours twist that I just couldn't put down! I’m not always a fan of new adult style romances or romantic comedies but Nadia Lee completely captured my attention with this easy flowing and addictive read that I literally read it from start to finish in one sitting because I was that engrossed.

While the book is told mostly from Jan’s point of view, Jan and Matt have such a sizzling chemistry after a failed one night stand turns into something so much more when they become neighbours. Both Jan and Matt were really likeable characters who you just couldn’t help but root for as things quickly build up and their steamy chemistry heats up. Adding to the book were some great secondary characters who need their own books because there is just so much more there to tell you can tell.

That Man Next Door is very well written with a great flow and witty undertone. For me, this book was the perfect blend of romance and comedy, with just enough steamy scenes to get you hot under the collar, without there being too much emphasis on either element (I find romantic comedies hit and miss if there is too much emphasis on a comedic element). I have no doubt this book will leave you with a smile on your face with these two sweet and slightly quirky characters and is a perfect feel-good romance to escape in.

If you are looking for a fun and completely addictive light hearted romance with plenty of humour and heart, don’t hesitate to read this book. I loved it!

'That Man Next Door' by Nadia Lee is the First Book in the "Sweet Darlings Inc." series. This is the story of Matt Aston and Jan Doe.
Jan is a 22 year old virgin who attempts to make a milestone in her life by loosing her virginity. Jan attempts to pretend to be a hot and sexy secondary person when she attempts the one night stands to reach her millstone of getting rid of her virginity. So when her attempt at number 5 fails she happy to escape again and never to see the guy again. But Jan is starting to find out that her attempt number 5 named Matt isn't going away. Matt turns up as a new neighbor and then at her work as a new employee who just happens to be good friends with David....her boss and cousin. Jan just praying that her everyday look is enough to keep Matt in the dark of who she really is...but that is her hopeful mind thinking.
This book was such a hoot! I loved their story and the secondary characters were great...I hope to see their story soon.

That Man Next Door is a book you have to read atleast once in your lifetime.. Yup. I said that. It's chick lit galore! It has a 22 year old virgin with a tendency to have wild imagination/over-think things ( Something we have all done hahaha) and a sexy-as-in Man. Need I say more?!

This book has it all!
Is it fun and witty? Yes it is!
Girlfriend aka BFF Goals?! Yes! Yes! Yes!
A super Hot Man? Yes!

Nadia Lee has created a character thats relatable. Jan Doe, just like us is insecure of herself, she's her own worst enemy. She also tends not to notice the beauty and individualistic appeal that she has.

I loved this book and it taught me a great lesson!
If you are not what society deems you as perfect, Be different! If you want to wear a sunflower pendant, wear one with pride! hahaha

Happy Reading guys!

Matt drives a hard bargain, “I mean it. Dinner. Tonight. You can have your panties back then. I’ll even have them laundered, dried and pressed.” Matt has a good eye, “those clouds over there…” He points. “They look like breasts. Yours in particular.” Matt likes to mke sure his girl is taken care of, “have breakfast with me. I basically only have bagels and cereal, but I can also whip up some eggs if you want.” I liked this book, I fell in love with Matt.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book by Nadia Lee so I wasn’t sure what to expect but this book turned out to be a great little read.

Jan has had 5 one night stand and is still a virgin, how? because she runs out on the guy before going through with it and thankfully never sees them again. That’s until Matt who is the latest guy she bails on, he moves in next door and then shows up as the new guy where she works!

The book is told in the first person from almost entirely Jan’s perspective. The last chapter is from Matt’s and its so swoon worthy!

The story really sucked me in, I started this last night and finished this afternoon because I enjoyed reading it so much. The pace of the relationship was a little faster than I would normally like, but there was no insta love, just lots and lots of lust and steaminess.

I found myself relating Jan quite a lot because she is very overly critical of herself and I’m largely the same way. I found her very enduring and easy to connect too. Matt was lovely, perfect guy next door material.
