Awwww, what a great novella to dive into this holiday season. Its been a while since I've resd this series, but I loved visiting everyone to see what shenanigans they've been up to.

Lots of laughs and some tears, truly missed this family. This novella definitely reignited a re-read of this series and I absolutely cannot wait to dive back in again!

If you're a fan of this series, it's a must read and just what you'll need this holiday season.

Author Sarah Robinson wraps up the Kavanaugh Legends series in Kavanaugh Christmas which takes place largely over one Christmas holiday and then with one heck of an epilogue over a decade in the future. This was a sentimental journey in which we see all the couples from the previous books and their significant others and children and we get to see more on the youngest son, Jimmy and their cousin, Casey and while I would have loved them to each have their own complete story I was happy with how their stories played out. Life has a lot of ups and downs and with such a large family, it would be unreasonable to expect everything to be wonderful every step of the way. Ms. Robinson gives readers a realistic view of life, love, and everything in between all while letting us “check in” with each couple and the parents of this crew. At times happy and at times sad, I loved every minute of being back in this large, rowdy, but very loving family. Well done Ms. Robinson, well done!

Last book of Kavanagh family getting together for the holidays..
It gives glimpse of their lives after their books and has some drams but it was enjoyable..
I would highly recommend reading all the previous books otherwise, things will not make sense. This book is giant epilogue for all the books in this series.
I enjoyed all the books!!!!

Thanks to Netgalley and Season publishing for my ARC in exchange for honest review.

I got this series mixed up with another and so I had to go back and start from the beginning in order to give this a fair review. That's is why this has taken me so long to leave this review. But wow this series and this book! Definitely one I'd recommend to my reader group!

I absolutely loved this title though it kills me it is the last Kavanagh title. I was hoping Jimmy and Casey would get their own full length novel. This series had me hooked since book one and always left me craving more of these amazingly flawed yet perfect characters. And watching these characters grow throughout the whole series was fantastic.
I loved how Sarah Robinson brought all of them to a close but yet even though this was the last title and it was not a cliffy she ended it with an open end giving readers like me a hopeful chance that maybe one day she can go back and write more.

A fantastic end to a super series this is the fifth book in the series and you need to read the previous books first. I have enjoyed all these books so it was great catching up with the Kavanagh family. It was well written and I read it in one sitting if you have not read this series I would recommend it to all.

I loved this book bc it had all the Kavanagh family in it. I was thinking this would be a great little cozy read, well it pulled st my heart strings & my emotions were all over the place.
I was disappointed to see this is the last book of the series, thought there would be more to come.
The writing is great & I loved the story! I just thought it would be a more upbeat Christmas book.

4 Stars from Renee!

I was pulled right into this super short story. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, grief, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first:
Breaking a Legend (Kavanagh Legends #1)
Saving a Legend (Kavanagh Legends #2)
Becoming a Legend (Kavanagh Legends #3)
Rory & Clare: A Short Story
Chasing a Legend (Kavanagh Legends #4)

This is more of the Kavanagh’s story. Come spend the holiday with the Kavanagh’s as they live and love. You will get updates on all the couples. See how they deal with the ups and downs of happenings in the family. One is sick, but they are keep it a secret to have a good holiday and not upset the family. But as with everything the secret comes out and the family rallies around to help out. As the family learns to deal with obstacles you can see the deep love that this family has for each other. As the years go by the family loses members but in the end the love still runs as deep as when the series first started.

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

What’s it About? Readers get to catch up with the Kavanaghs for the holidays as established relationships are tested, new relationships take it to the next level and the entire clan gets a VERY solid conclusion.

Overall reaction to the story? I was not expecting this type of conclusion and honestly, I didn’t think it was up to par with what I’ve come to expect from this author and this series. I’ve been in love with the Kavanagh series from the start and have looked forward to each book in the series. This family has had its ups and downs but through it all they’ve always had each other’s backs, yet I felt like these characters were strangers to one another. I had two big issues with this novella that is supposed to serve as the conclusion to a series that was always high on my “Must” list.

In Kavanagh Christmas readers are invited back into the large, boisterous Kavanagh family for the holidays to see just what they’ve been up to since the ending of the fourth book, Chasing a Legend. However, the tone of this book is just so different than the others, and this was my first issue with it, I wanted to fall back in love with this clan, not feel like I need to get away from them and their too-heavy-for-me problems. What I’m trying to say is if you’re looking for an uplifting, happy holiday read, this is NOT it.

I’ve liked that author Sarah Robinson didn’t shy away from life’s tough spots, Rory with his demons and addictions, and Kieran with his prison record but I wasn’t expecting that she’d take the holiday season and turn it into a tear jerker from start to finish. I’m not sure that that is everyone’s cup of tea during the holidays. I know it wasn’t mine when I read it, mostly because I wasn’t prepared for that level of heartbreak. So yeah, that wasn’t something I wanted to read about right now.

The four relationships that have already been established in previous books that are being revisited here and I was thrilled about that. These couples are all still in love but at the same time they’re quick to show that their relationships didn’t get easy just because they told each other the big “L” word. Nope, everyone is dealing with their own little (or big) bumps in the road. Some were sweet and silly but others were pretty heavy. I could handle that if it was one couple in their own book, but this was almost EVERYONE having some major conflict and that really set the tone for the novella to be depressing and discouraging. Again, not something everyone is going to want to read right now.

There’s also the introduction and peek into the relationships of the two remaining Kavanaghs, youngest son Jimmy, and the Kavanagh cousin Casey. These two characters’ respective relationships happened “off page” and are stable points when the novella starts. This was a second big issue with me.

I’m not gonna lie, I really felt cheated as a faithful fan and reader that the series ended without giving the two youngest members of the Kavanagh family their own stories. In particular Casey who had a scene in Chasing a Legend that made me hope she would get her own story. Instead, we get the fast forwarded version in Kavanagh Christmas where everything is said and done and she’s in a relationship, about to take it to the next level. I definitely put my cranky, that’s-not-fair pants on for that. Disappointed like you wouldn’t believe!

Normally when a much loved series is at its end, a reader feels a bit of sadness when reading the last book, but there’s always a smile and a sense of lightness when that last page is read. I didn’t get that with Kavanagh Christmas, sadly, I felt depressed that one of my favorite families didn’t end on a high note, and very cheated that Jimmy and Casey got shafted out of their own stories. I still love Sarah Robinson as an author and I’m curious to see what she’s planning next but this wasn’t one of her best works. I hate that I didn’t love it.

Click It or Skip It? Skip it. I really am having a hard time getting past this conclusion to a series that still had some legs (and two remaining characters) to it.

This holiday novella, the end of this series, was not what I expected. It’s not a sweet Christmas-makes-everything-perfect kind of story. It’s a reminder that family means everything at Christmas and every day.

Legends is a popular gym owned and run by various members of the Kavanagh family. Dee and Seamus raised their children in a typical crazy Irish Catholic household where no matter what, everyone is home for Sunday dinner, no cussing and Ma (Dee) is involved in everyone’s lives. There are a lot of things going on this Christmas, concern for Seamus’s health after a recent heart attack, babies (not telling who!), new love, and heartbreaking news that will effect the whole family. I have read all the Legends books and enjoyed every one. Sorry to see this series end.

If you haven’t read the early books, this novella would totally confuse you, so I would recommend you starting from the beginning. Well worth it.

This is the conclusion to the Kavanagh series. The story takes the characters well into the future. I love the conclusion to the series, but it was a little confusion since almost every chapter is a new family member. Otherwise a great read.

I love the Kavanagh's! And they are even better at Christmas time! It was a cute way to get everyone together for a sweet novella!

It was really great to catch up with all the Kavanaugh's. You get two glimpses with them. One is at the present day and another many years down the line where their kids are much older. I liked how Sarah Robinson closed the series without you left wondering what happens to them all.

4.5 Kavanagh Loving Stars
* * * * 1/2 Spoiler Free It's Live!!!
OH, MY how I love this Irish Brood! This is the perfect look at the entire family over the past years... catching up with all of them... who is in a good place, who is finally making their relationships legal... and who is coming back to the fold to live in the hood once again.

I fell hard for this series and each entry had a central theme for each of the siblings with the core of the Father and Mother holding them all together. The family had ethics, gave back to the Community and hearts as big as all New York and all the boroughs.

If you have been following this series... This is a MUST.
I would not read this, though, if you are in the middle of the Kavanagh Journey as there is so much from the past, present and future to enjoy. If anything... It is the perfect Carrot to have you start the series and binge read it...with this as the Icing on the Kavanagh Holiday Cake.

This was a great recap story! All of the Kavanagh family in one place!

You really need to read the previous book to enjoy this one...and that was something I didn't do. My fault.

That being said...I am pretty interested in this series and will definitely go back and start from the beginning! Super curious about this family!

A wonderful story that takes you on a Kavanagh journey. You go through every brother and their family. When at Christmas one child is struck with an illness. Like all of the other books everyone comes together to support. A wonderful journey and sad that this series is coming to an end. Not wanting to give too much away, but this was probably for me the best written story of the bunch, and the ending, well you have to read it for yourself. I thank the author for a wonderful series with a great cast of characters. Read this beautiful story.

Kavanagh Christmas is an update for all the families after they have settled. IT was a great catch up to them all and I promise it can bring happy and sad tears to your eyes. Rory, Kieran, Kane, Jimmy, Casey, Quinn, they are all here along with their significant others and children. All making Christmas the best possible thing with new additions, changes, and health changes. All in all it was a great book and I'm sad to see the series end.

Though I love the Kavanaghs and Sarah Robinson, I was sad with this book. First of all I was unhappy with the time jump amd not getting 2 family members full love story. Then it should be a happy Christmas story only to have me in tears most of the time. Now dont get me wrong it shouldnt always be happy go lucky but this shoudl have been a more feel good story. I know that Sarah Robinson was trying to do a great thing by giving us their future and how the family progresses, but I think this wasnt the best way to go about it. I was unhappy to have yet another time jump later on in the book. I would have liked it better if we had the final time jump from the beginning and have it being a retrospective of the Christmas the Kavanaghs were dealing with. I know this doesnt sound like the best review but know it wasnt because the writing was bad or that the plot wasnt good. I was more just bothered by the execution of it.

I am very sadden to see that this is the last Kavanagh book, at least for a long while, fingers crossed for more in the far future. This book gave me all the feels. I have been with this series since the very beginning, Loveswept sending me an advanced copy of the first book, Breaking A Legend, Rory and Clare's story. Since then, I have read an early copy of each book and loved them all equally but in different ways.

Each brother is different, even the twins. But reading about all of them in one book, I wished for so much more. I wish it was more than just a novella. I loved reading on how far these characters had come. They've all grown so much since their own books.

I loved it but am wicked sad that this loving, big, Irish family has to come to a close. I recommend that you read the first books in their proper order before reading this because it can and will spoil all the other in this series. They are marketed as series standalones but I would personally read them in order, in caution of spoiling another brothers story. It starts with Rory, the oldest and ends with Quinn, the second to youngest.

Sarah made me cry with this one. I love this entire series! 5 STARS!
