As always I want to thank NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for providing us with a copy of this book so that we could bring you this review.

I don't know what it has been about these DeSanti men that I have enjoyed immensely. All I know is that each book has kept me stuck to it until I knew exactly what was going on. Why they did what they did and what they were going to plan to get the women who has changed them so much. And it wasn't different for this book. I was stuck to it like glue trying to figure what was going on and how Ella was going to change Rafe. And in this case how Rafe was going to change Ella's opinion of him.

I gave this book 4 kisses.

Happy Reading... Adri

Great story! Strong characters with a difficult childhood and need for tender care and love.
Rafael and Ella are soul mates, made for each other. Even with the age difference their souls chase for each one.
I enjoy reading this book.
I received an ARC from Netgalley for a honest review.

I'm always a fan of a ballet stories and this is one of the most special stories that I read.

I honestly in love with Rafe. Yes, he is truly ruthless, has mood and very demanding but he is a kind of guy that would protect, love and take good care of you. Lucky Ella! I was sad about his childhood days and how he was treated as a 'broken' kid.

Ella didn't have happy childhood days. She was orphan who took care of her Grandmother. She only dreams of entering and performing in an opera in Paris.

I finished and read this story in one day because I enjoyed Rafe's character a lot like how he teased Ella as his Little Red and how Ella pretended not to be affected but, in reality, her heart is happy with the attention.

I'm just a bit disappointed with the ending but, The Big Bad Billionaire is a must read!

Ella grew up knowing Rafe. Her parent always steered her away from him because he was so mean. Her parents died and her grandmother raised her. Ella's coping mechanism was dancing her heart out in ballet. She's has dreams of going to school in Paris and because she's a trust fund baby it'll be easy enough to accomplish once she asks her guardian for the money. He's never denied her before so she doesn't think it'll be an issue. However, little did she know that Rafe is now her guardian...the man she's feared since she was a child. He won't give her the money without some "conditions".

Rafe was sent away when he was a child because of his temper and uncontrollable actions. Unfortunately, his guardian wasn't the best choice and Rafe is now out of control in a different way. He seeks revenge on his father because of it and he wants to possess Ella. He knew her when she was younger and she adored him. He was very possessive over her and very kind. Then, one day she was frightened of him. He was determined she would be his forever!

Will Ella give into his black mail to get the money to study in Paris? She has no idea Rafe has been stalking her at the ballet for years! Can Rafe restore Ella's love for him from when she was a child?

Rafe was a little disturbing, but I totally enjoyed his character!! Ella was a strong person even though she didn't know it and I love how Rafe showed her! Great story!

The Big, Bad Billionaire is part of Jackie Ashenden's standalone erotic fairy tale series centering on Little Red Riding Hood. Little Red has grit and passion that was incredibly refreshing, especially when it pushes the big, bad wolfs buttons. Although she grieves the loss of her parents, she keeps at her passion of dance. She works hard to get into the school of her dreams in Paris that will give her a big break. However, Rafe being the big, bad wolf--I mean billionaire--that he is, is now her guardian, who has control over her chance of getting into the school: her inheritance. He wagers an ultimatum, and take a wild guess what that is. This circumstance sets up their back and forth that is incredibly entertaining. She doesn't go down without a fight.

Ella never really stood a chance when Rafael set her in his sights. She was the only one who could control the anger that consumed him. Always by his side as a child she touched something in his heart. Now things have changed and he has set certain conditions for her to get what she wants. Will she rise to the occasion and accept everything he has to offer to achieve her dreams or leave them behind scattered in the wind?

I tried, but just couldn't get past Rafe's arrogance to actually enjoy the book.

Felt uncomfortable with the fact the hero was heroine's guardian and forcing her to go on a date. I DNF'd this one and did not post a review.

The Big, Bad Billionaire by Jackie Ashenden was an intense and emotional story that hooked me in from the very first pages. Rafe and Ella's story was full of angst and had great writing and well-written main characters. The author did a great job with the character development and laid our the story in a way that kept me wanting more. I really enjoyed the connection that developed between them, which began at a young age for the both of them. I love a dark and brooding hero, and Rafe was perfect in that role. Yes, some of the things he said and did were harsh, but that was understandable due to his past and what he had gone through.. I loved the possessiveness he felt towards Ella, which intensified as the story went on. I loved Ella's character as well. She got stronger and more assertive as the story progressed, and I loved watching her grow as a person. The two of them were great together, and I especially enjoyed the push and pull between them that took place at the beginning of the story. The intimacy between them was a slow burn, and I found that was perfect for this story. Overall this book was enjoyable and entertaining, and I will now be checking out the other books in this series so that I can read Rafe's brother's stories.

Amount of sex 3 / 5

Overall: 4 / 5

The Big, Bad Billionaire is the fourth book in the ‘Billionaire Fairy Tales’ by author Jackie Ashenden. This story is a modern-day retelling of Little Red Riding Hood and can be read as a standalone. The cover does show a picture of a wolf, and Rafael is described as one, but this is not a shifter romance.

In this story, Rafael was a problematic and challenging child while growing up. His parents did not know how to manage him and sent him to his grandfathers to live. His grandfather was tough on him but helped Rafael control his anger. When Rafael returned to his parent’s house years later, he began to pursue the one girl who meant something to him.

Ella is now 20 years old and a ballerina that lives with her grandmother. I enjoyed how Rafael pursued her. He was firm and cunning, and his personality and actions were an excellent depiction of a wolf. Ella was more meek, and I thoroughly enjoyed this modern day fairy tale story.

Uff how I'd have loved to punch Rafe DeSantis in the face. All through this book he really ticked me off with the way he treated Ella. But as you get towards the end of the book and more about his childhood is revealed, you actually begin to feel sorry for him and want to punch his parents and grandfather instead. Ella is one brave girl to face Rafe the way she does. She crashes through the walls he has built up around him and see his true self. I was rooting for Ella all the way.

This is a fast paced sexy romp, lots of steamy scenes that will keep anyone warm through the winter.

An ok story, I felt it a little rushed though, especially Red's acceptance of Wolf's hot treatment of her seeing as he's her guardian. But apart from that, the story becomes quite an interesting character book and has a good storyline.

Big Bad Billionaire

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another excellent story in this series. This series are based on well known fairy tales. As you have prob guessed by the title this story is Little Red Riding Hood.
Rafe has watched Ella from afar for the majority of her life. He wanted to claim her as his and he waited for just the right time.
Such a great fairy tale with lots of emotions and a terrific happy ever after.
Can’t wait to find out if there will be more to this series. I really love this author and she never fails to entertain me.
Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

Title: The Big, Bad Billionaire
Series: Billionaire Fairy Tales Book #4
Stand Alone Title: yes
Author: Jackie Ashenden
Genre: Romance
Blurb: Wicked. Ruthless. Obsessed.
Sent away from his family as a boy because he couldn’t be controlled, Rafe DeSantis’s new guardian turned him into a monster. One who wants only two things out of life: To get revenge on the father who destroyed his life. And to possess the woman who was kept from him. Ella Hart has been his obsession for years, and now that he’s her guardian he’s finally in position to black mail her into his bed. And once he has her there? He’s going to eat her up.
Innocent. Alone. Hunted.
Ella has been living with her grandmother since the death of her parents when she was a child. She’s learned to pour her grief and pain into dance, and it’s become her escape. Her passion. Now she’s set her sights on a prestigious dance school in Paris. But there’s one problem. Ella was so young when her parents died, her money was left in the hands of the DeSantis family…and it’s now controlled by Rafe. A man she’s always found compelling and terrifying at the same time. Rafe offers her an ultimatum: Give herself to him, body and soul, and she’ll get the money she needs.
Ella isn’t in a position to refuse, though she tries to resist the sexy billionaire. It feels good, until her heart becomes involved. Does the big bad billionaire want to capture her heart? Or does he only want to own her body?
Favorite quotes: “Run, little Red,” Rafe murmured, watching her walk fast up the steps to her front door. “Run while you can. But one day I’ll catch you, make no mistake. And you’re going to love it when I do.”
Thoughts: This book was a good mix of a billionaire storyline meshed with a fairytale retelling, in this case Little Red Riding Hood. Rafe was a conflicting character – he was harsh, abrupt, ruthless, and he has taken struggles in his life and learned to manipulate and interact with people to get what he wants. And one of the things he has always wanted is Ella. Honestly, the way he was treated makes you sympathize with him (and regret CPS never got involved with his family!), yet at times he is difficult to fully like. Ella, by the same token, is a little too innocent and stubborn. Her willingness to stick her head in the sand like an ostrich annoyed me at times, and she was so manipulated by her own parents into not liking Rafe that it frustrated me that she wouldn’t take a step back and evaluate things on her own without stubbornly thinking only other people’s thoughts rather than her own.
The storyline had a lot of ebbs and peaks, times where there was intense emotion and times where things fell flat. Overall, it was a pretty good book that I enjoyed reading and getting caught up in for a little while.
Rating: B

This is the forth book in this series by this author. Another amazing story by this author. The characters are fantastic, powerful male meets innocent female. Even though this book is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone read. This story is very well written and will keep you hooked till the very end. I can't wait to read more from this series and from this author in the future.

Rating 3.75.

Fairy tale theme of big bad wolf and little red riding hood. Seemed to be forced into the story somehow, choppy, not really smooth or woven into the romance well (in my humble opinion).
But definitely lot's of sexual tension, over the top chemistry and alpha hero (maybe a tad too much at times...).

Ella Hart has only her grandmother and her dancing. But she loves both and passionately. Ella would like to go to Paris to attend a special dance school, but she needs to ask her guardian for the monies. Ella is on the quite and shy side but very sweet and strong. She doesn't believe she'll have any problem getting a "yes" form her guardian, Rafe.

Rafe is a successful in running his company. He's had an issue with controlling his temper and was sent away at a fairly young age. Rafe's life as a child/teenager wasn't what you would call happy. Rafe was always felt something special for Ella. So when he became her guardian he watched over her and became more intrigued by her as she grew into a beautiful young woman. The woman Ella, was what Rafe wanted and waited for. So when she comes to him as an adult asking for monies for her schooling Rafe decided the time was right address his attraction to her.

This was a hot, cute and sexy read. Pacing was good and writing good too.

**My thanks to NetGalley and St Martin's Press, for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is the last book in the series, but can be read as a stand a lone book as none of the other brothers are seen until the epilogue.

This is a new way of telling the story of Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. However if Guardian / Ward stories are not your thing then turn away now.

Rafe has always wanted Ella as she was the only person who was not afraid of him before he was sent away to his grandfather after an angry outburst as a teenager. Since then he has done everything he can to get his revenge and to get Ella back in his life.

Ella has always wanted to be a dancer, but lost her mother and father within a month of each other when she was young and has lived with fear ever since.

Rate brings Ella feelings and emotions that she does not understand, but the same happens to Rafe. Both push each other to open up and share their hurts and find that they are getting closer but still pushing each other away.

Yes Rafe was probably the worst De Santis man, but he also had a sweet side that he only let Ella see when she started to respond to him.

Its was certainly avery different telling of the famed story, but it was certainly well done.
