As a note, an e-galley of this novel was sent to me via NetGalley by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not effect my opinions in any way.

This just wasn't my cup of tea and felt all-too-familiar for me to get truly invested in things. Leslie North crafts a delicious tone as per usual but The Billionaire's Ex-Wife just wasn't for me and my preference in the moment. I'm not typically big on the second-chance-romances these days (then again, I seem to not be 100% keen on romance in general for whatever reason) so this should come as no shock to anyone that my feelings were lackluster at best.

Leslie North proves to be a strong writer with a knack for creating characters and backstories to connection and I am unable to stress that enough. I think that part of my feelings towards the book come from two mundane things that lead to massive flaws: the length of the book felt too short and the plot felt too common. This is important for me to point out. While the story wasn't awful in the least, it did mark down my rating quite a bit.

While I didn't necessarily find myself connected to the love story at hand, on an emotional level, I did enjoy the characters on their own and for me that is what made me continue on with The Billionare's Ex-Wife in spite of my reservations about the story as a whole. North truly brought a spark to the characters in terms of development--even if the rest of it didn't quite ignite a full blown attachment for me.

But that is what we all love about Leslie North--her writing. Although there were flaws to the story and it isn't something I'd read again, her writing remains just as juicy as usual. It just wasn't enough for my taste.

There's no doubt, however, that the book is a fast and entertaining read. One of the many things that fans of North will attest to is her delicious pacing and prose; catering to the romantic at heart all the while maintaining a certain level of chemistry to the characters. Sam and Trinity have a past that ties them together and serves as a stepping-stone to what will become of them in the future.

Many moments I found myself feeling more than a little flustered.

Ultimately, fans of Leslie North will flock to this release and find themselves anticipating the next installment to the series. The Billionaire's Ex-Wife wasn't for me, but anyone looking for a steamy second-chance love story will eat this up!

In the 1st installment of the Jameson series, we find a second-chance romance between Sam and Trinity Jameson.
Sam got a strong attitude, that is good for business, but diffidently not in marriage. His ex-wife, Trinity is a fixer, but the one person, she could not fix, was her ex-husband Sam. But when they have to work together to help out Sam’s younger brother, Eddie, she finds that Sam hasn’t changed (or so she thinks) and Trinity won’t let him hold her heart again. No, this time around she wants him to learn from his mistakes, but what if he did already learn?
A sweet and sexy, emotionally thrilling and entertaining story.

They grew apart when they were married to one another due to Sam’s workaholic lifestyle. Promises to always be by each other’s side got pushed in the corner in search of the next big deal or meeting with clients. Naturally Trinity had enough and they reluctantly decided to call it quits. She was the on,y woman he ever loved and he hasn’t moved on. Was he always waiting for a second chance and avoid making the same mistakes?

I love a second chance at romance and i would say that going after your ex wife is certainly ballsy ! Trinity and Sam. Trinity is a fixer but even though she tried her marriage to Sam did not work out.. Once he sees her again he realizes that what he wants is no longer his. Game on, look out Trinity he is back and looking to try again . Is it possible that they can rekindle lost love and find new love in the process!

I have read this author several times before and keep going back hoping for something new -- and I have found that, but not with this one. Just too predictable and felt rushed.

Part of the Jameson's Brothers series, the reader is given the tale of Sam who works to get his ex wife, Trinity back. after given a challenge by his older brother. These two have obstacles to overcome before they find common ground to rebuild their future on.

Ebook from Netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

Sam and Trinity come across as opposites, as attracted by each other as they irritate each other. Their reconnection, for business, allows them to revisit both. The exposition fell on the thin side, and it's a bit hard to believe this is the first book of the series...it reads as a second book, or at least a spinoff from something else. Great steam, though, well balanced with story.

The Billionaire's Ex-Wife didn't stand out much for me. It has a less than pleasant hero, a kind of bland heroine, and a decent secondary cast, especially Sam's brother, Eddie, who is actually a more standout character than either of the leads. Unfortunately, I didn't connect much with Sam and Trinity and their story.

When Sam is told by his older brother that Sam needs to help onboard their younger brother, Eddie, into the company to help land some big time clients, the last person Sam expects to see is his ex-wife, Trinity, in the conference room. Trinity is a fixer and she's there to "fix" Sam. Well, not really fix him, but to make the transition for Eddie that much smoother. When Sam sees Trinity, all he sees is the woman he wants again, and apparently has never stopped loving. But, there is a huge problem with that idea - Sam hasn't changed from the cold, inflexible man whose career takes first priority in his life. First priority over everything, including the marriage and wife he used to have. But, Sam's determined, and Trinity's body and heart just can't seem to resist the man who broke her heart.

While I like the premise, and I normally like billionaire stories, The Billionaire's Ex-Wife just did not do it for me. I don't like Sam - he's clueless, he's arrogant, he's completely inflexible, and he does a poor job of really trying to change and become the man Trinity needs him to be if she's to give him a second chance. Why she ended up giving him a second chance, I'll never know. Trinity is OK, she's just a little on the bland side, there's nothing remarkable or extraordinary about her. I didn't believe they really loved each other, although I did believe they were still in lust with each other.

If I don't particularly like the two leads, don't believe they love each other, and a secondary character is more interesting than either lead, then there's a problem. So the only rating I can honestly give this is 3 stars. It probably deserves 2 stars, but I hate doing that unless something is terribly written or just plain awful, and The Billionaire's Ex-Wife is neither of those things, it's just not that interesting.

Uptight and always want everything in order, Sam’s strong attitude is good for business but certainly not in marriage. His ex-wife, Trinity might have left him before because of that. But now they are forced to work together to help Sam’s younger brother, Eddie. Sam hasn’t changed. And Trinity, no matter how obvious she’s still physically attracted to Sam, won’t let him hold her heart again. This time, she wants him to learn from his mistakes. But what if he did learn?

Second-chance romance never gets old. Though the plot is common, it was a fantastic read because it was well-written. It was short but well-developed. The characters are well-developed. They started okay but flawed and it was amazing to see them change in the end. And finally, the romance and the heat between Sam and Trinity are well-balanced, making it a great love story.

I enjoyed reading the Billionaires ex wife, but I would have liked a little more character development and depth to the story. I would have liked to know Trinity’s job profile and more about why their marriage fell apart, though I figured it out but yeah some more details would have been nice. Having said that I will definitely read book 2 in the series and see what’s in store for Eddie

Was an ok read. Sam might be rigid but I think Trinity didn't help any by not speaking up for herself.

I have to say that I enjoyed this read. I wish it was a longer book, more developed and more scenes. However, the chemistry between Trinity and Sam was enlightening and exciting. Seeing these too very strong, independent personality collide after the very sad, lonely history they share is so genuine. Trinity is a fire-cracker of a women, not taking any BS from the men surrounding her, unwilling to accept less than she deserves even as she so-clearly still loves her ex-husband who's going to be working in her turf for a while. Sam, is that Alpha-male you hate to love but you can't help yourself. Yes, he's an A-hole at time, and demanding, and pushy and overwhelming but he obviously cares for Trinity, even when in the beginning (as all men are) is oblivious as to what he did wrong all those years ago, until Trinity has to enlighten his A** to how he F*cked up.
There's nothing more wonderful than seeing deep characters growing and learning from their mistakes, adding to that the steamy chemistry they can't avoid this makes for such a charming read.

An enjoyable second chance book, I liked that Sam and Trinity still have feelings for each other, even though Trinity's pretty much not gonna help Sam, she's determined to make sure he fixes his own problems. Will he be able to understand what broke their marriage the first time and will he do everything in his power to make sure he doesn't make the same mistakes again?

Love Sam and Trinity's second chance love story. Sam wants a second with his ex wife. Trinity is not interested unless Sam make some changes. Sam is determined to get Trinity back and is willing to make her see the changed man he's become. Recommended read. Looking forward to the rest of the James Brothers' stories.
