She is Kendall Moore—a spirited southern belle as proud as she is beautiful, driven by a cruel marriage-bed betrayal to risk her life in a dangerous gamble for freedom. He is Brent McClain—the Confederate agent who meets Kendall aboard the warship Jenni-Lyn, and loses his heart in a single, searing night of passion. But war and treachery soon tear them apart—Brent into raging battle, Kendall into desperate flight from a scorned husband’s white-hot vengeance. They live only for the promise of tomorrow—and a love that will burn forever in both their hearts
I’ve read this author before and liked her writing, so I figured this book would be good and it didn’t disappoint. The book was really good. I loved both main characters as they went through the story. Both characters were well written. I really enjoyed the plot. I highly recommend.

I did not realize that this was a reissue of an earlier novel under a different name, but I enjoyed it never-the-less. This was a nice telling of romance during the civil war. It was also an excellent history lesson about the state of Florida during this tumultuous time in our country's history.

I loved this book. Heather Graham has superb skill when it comes to drawing you through an historical event. Many of the details that were incorporated in the book helped draw you back in time. The characters themselves were quite entertaining as they both developed along the story line. Tomorrow the Glory showcases how people can change before, during and after a war. Kendall and Brent start off with an interesting beginning the blossoms into love, however that is not the end of the story. They have found love but can it be sustained in a healthy relationship during the war? Heather Graham masterfully weaves the tale to show that not all hardships are automatically solved by love alone. There is more that needs to be there from both sides. I enjoyed this book and if you're a fan of historical romances then pick up this book. It will keep you entertained for hours.

ARC received for review

I have absolutely love Ms. Graham's books in the past. Her Cameron saga is one of my favorites. So it really hurts to say this one was a DNF. I just couldn't get into it. I was bored. On to the next book.

Great historical read! Kendall is forced to marry forced into a cruel marriage and hopes to escape. Brent is a sea captain and a confederate agent and is almost killed because of Kendall, will he seek his revenge or fall for her? This is an amazing Civil War read. I was hooked from beginning to end. The history wraps nicely within the story and takes you back in time. I loved it!

Re-release from under the name Shannon Drake. This is a historical civil war romance. Graham/Drake has an unbelievable way of writing that pulls you right in. You want to crawl into the book and visit the location she is writing about.

The tension between the couple is wonderful and difficult at the same time. I picked the story because of the author being Graham but I truly enjoyed this story. I am not a huge civil war romance fan but this was a great story.

Heather Graham’s newest novel “Tomorrow the Glory” is an epic tale of love, war, and the people it affects. Brent McClain was a sea captain who knew eventually that he would be forced to participate in a war that he did not want to be involved with. Kendall Moore was forced into a marriage that was anything but happy, and when she finally thought she had a way to escape she is thwarted by her abusive husband. Brent is not pleased when he feels as if he was set up by Kendra and he vows to get even. This novel follows the highs and lows of a relationship that is put to the test on more than one occasion and it makes the reader once again believe in the power of love. I was given an advanced copy of this book, and all of the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I received a free ARC from netgalley.com, not realizing that I read this book over a decade ago, when it was published under the author's alias Shannon Drake. This is part of the fictionalized Florida history series and although it can be read as a stand alone, I would suggest that the reader start at the begining with RUNAWAY. The entire series is a mesmerizing history of the development of the state of Florida. The characters are well developed in appearance and personality, the settings are richly described and the conflicts very real.

This book is about southern belle, Kendall Moore, the oldest of two sisters, raised on a plantation. Without any sons, her father taught her how to run the plantation, but failed to write a will or express his wished to his wife. After his sudden death, his wife remarried, handing the plantation's running to her new husband, who quickly brought it to financial ruin, and blackmailed Kendall into marrying a rich Yankee, threatening to hand her younger sister over to a fiend, if she didn't. Mr. Moore is mentally unstable and impotent, and takes out all his hostilities on his beautiful young wife, until at the begining of the War Between the States, she tries to flee Charleston, SC, offering herself to Brent McClain, a Confederate captain of his own ship Jenni-Lyn.

Moore, now a Union officer, catches up with her and nearly kills McClain, but in the ensuing years that manage to reunite and fall in love. But the war, duty and a spurned husband make those years dangerous. Beautifully written, but with a HEA.

Nothing pulls at my heart and soul like a book by Shannon Drake. Add the fact it’s a historical set in the Civil War and I am a fan from page one. The author did such a phenomenal job with describing the pride, fears, angst, and heartache felt among the participants of the American Civil War. What was exceptional in this telling was the attention to the fact that the effects were more than physical, especially for those in border states who were fighting against family members and neighbors. They were mental and emotional. Tomorrow the Glory is the story of a young Southern lady, married to a cruel Yankee husband and her many attempts at escape from her miserable life. One of her attempted escapes brings her into the arena of Navy Captain Brent MacLean and his career as a blockade runner off the East Coast. Add in the mysteries and dangers of the Florida swamplands, Seminole Indians, major battles and war prisons and you have an adventurous tale that will keep your heart racing and your hope alive that everything works out for the Southern Belle and her Navy Captain in the end.
