Oh, no! Sheriff Kenni’s mama is the number one suspect in the murder of celebrity food critic Frank Von Lee; Finn, her Deputy and boyfriend is doubting her moral compass and; someone is performing illegal botox parties and selling pink handicap stickers. Good thing that the ghost of Poppa is still helping her out. A fun read with engaging characters full of Southern charm. This is the 4th book and whilst best read in order can be read as a standalone.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and NetGalley. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

Kenni is at it again. And this time her mama is suspect number one! How can she possibly keep a clear head and not be biased when its her mama? But with Finn...and grandpa....by her side she will get to the bottom of it.

When he mama's chicken pot pie is set to be critiqued by Frank Con Lee and be spotlighted on television the whole town is excited. But when he ends up dead in his hotel room with a chicken pot pie by his side and poion as his cause only one suspect is in view. Mama. Now comes the hard work. Find the real killer. But when the town takes Kenni off the lead Finn steps up and Kenni goes on a goose chase all on her own.

As things look worse for mama Kenni will do anything to find clues. Even take baking classes with some of Frank's bad blood. And when all things point to someone from his past, things get ugly. With a surprise twist and an ending I didn't see I was surely shocked! Never saw it coming and loved it.

The female sheriff and her deputy are an item. The sheriff's mama is a suspect. Bless her heart. This may be a small town, but it has more than one mystery to solve. Engaging and entertaining. Interesting characters. Grandpa ghost is not one of my favorite characters, but he is useful for providing clues.

Kenni Lowery is the sheriff of her small town in the south. Her mother is "all a flutter" about having the Culinary Channel coming to town and the famous chef Fran Von Lee. They are filming her making her chicken pot pie, and if it is good enough, they will feature her on their show! But when Kenni's deceased dad pops in, Kenni knows there is going to be a murder, he only shows up then. But who is going to die and why? You will have to read the book to find out. You will love the characters.....they make you feel like pulling up a chair and drinking a glass of sweet tea! I would like to thank Net Galley for a copy of this book. I voluntarily reviewed it and the review is of my own opinions.

Rather a silly plot, but it is a fun read. Put together the Sheriff and her ghost poppa, a southern setting, a Botox scheme, culinary delights and sham handicap stickers make for an enjoyable escape.

You can never go wrong with this series.
Great characters and small town setting with twists in a well written whodunit.
I especially like the relationship between Kenni and her Poppa.
I cannot wait to read the next in the series. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Six Feet Under by Tonya Kappes is the fourth book in the Kenni Lowry Mystery series and has everything that I have grown to love about this series - sass, southern charm, mystery, a touch of paranormal and characters that I want to get to know personally. Ms. Kappes always makes me feel right at home in Cottonwood. Kenni has been growing and I'm so glad to see her more confident in herself in this book. Kenni and Finn work well together and their romance is evolving naturally into a great relationship.

The book pulled me in at the first page. The plot is smooth and fast paced as Kenni has to solve this one to protect her momma. There weren't many suspects for the murder but there was fun to be found in a side case that involved botox parties and pirated handicap stickers. The twists and turns were perfectly executed and I was totally surprised at the reveal. I can hardly wait for my next trip to Cottonwood.

Residents Cottonwood, Kentucky are certainly excited when the Culinary Channel comes to town to film an episode of Southern Home Cookin’ with celebrity chef Frank Von Lee.
Sheriff Kenni Lowry's mama is especially excited since it is her chicken pot pie that brought the chef to town.

Unfortunately, someone is not to keen on the chef and kills him, while pointing the finger at the sheriff's mama.
Kenni knows something is up when her Poppa, retired sheriff shows up, especially since he is dead!

Get ready to laugh and investigate with Kenni and the gang.

Thank you to NetGalley and Henery Press for approving me to read this fantastic book by Tonya Kappes.

Sheriff Kenni Lowry faces an unexpected challenge when her Mom is the prime suspect in the murder of a visiting food critic, one whose recommendation could make or break anyone connected with the network show he represented. Her mom's Chicken Pot Pie is the vehicle of death and Kenni's Poppa, the former sheriff and a ghost, is back to help. Mayhem and fun ensues, all with a crisp mystery and more insight into delightful people of Cottonwood. I'm excited there is another book coming soon.

Six Feet Under is book four in the Kenni Lowry Mystery series. Mama Lowry is the prime suspect in a murder investigation. What?! No way. When Von Lee is found dead and a partially eaten pot pie with Mama Lowry's name nearby are found, Sheriff Kenni must determine who really did this. It couldn't be Mama. So even though Kenni is pulled off the case, would that really stop her from investigating? With the help of her ghostly grandfather, she is determined to find out the truth. She must clear Mama! I loved this story. This is one of those books you just can't put down. I highly recommend it.

I loved this latest release in the Kenni Lowry series! She is such a fun character and the writing is really good. The author always keeps you interested in The Who done it. I love when Kenni’s Dad comes back to help her. And in this case it is pretty personal to both of them.

This is the second book I've read in the Kenni Lowry series and I enjoyed it so much! I love Kenni and the other characters, especially Poppa. There were a few things going on in Cottonwood in this book including the murder of a famous food critic, a Botox ring, and a handicapped parking tag scam. This book kept me guessing about who the killer was and I was surprised by the ending. I loved that Mamma had a bigger part in this book and feel that the characters are really growing as the series continues. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series to see what happens next in Cottonwood.

Thank you to Netgalley and Henery Press for providing an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Tonya Kappes is one of my go-to authors and she lived up to my high expectations in Six Feet Under. Kenni Lowry is back in the fourth installment of the series. Kenni and Finn have their work cut out for them in Six Feet Under - Kenni's Mama is the number one suspect in the murder of a famous food critic!
Kenni has to work double-time to solve the case. Not only is her Mama in danger of being arrested, but Finn suspects she may act in a morally questionable manner to save her Mama. With the help of Duke and her grandfather's ghost, Kenni investigates the case.
I really enjoyed the character development in this book. Kenni and Finn - and their relationship are developing in a natural and satisfying way. Kenni's friends and family also are becoming fuller, more fleshed out characters.
The mystery in Six Feet Under kept me guessing right to the end! This was a really fun book and a fine addition to the Kenni Lowry Mystery series.

CLEVER!

This Kenni Lowry Mystery Series (Book 4) is my favorite yet! Kenni has really grown and matured in her role as Sheriff of Cottonwood, KY. Of course having Finn as her Deputy and her Poppa (the former Sheriff, now deceased who visits in ghost form when there’s a murder to solve) has made her job much easier. This installment revolves around Kenni’s Mama Viv’s famous chicken pot pie. It’s so good it has caught the attention of the Culinary Channel. They want to film an episode of Southern Home Cookin’ with celebrity Chef Frank Von Lee. Ole Viv goes all out to impress not only the Chef but the entire world! What transpires next is a hilariously told story of Mama getting all glammed up for her minutes in the spotlight. All is glitz and glamour until the mayhem and murder start. When all the clues leading to the murderer of the celebrity Chef seem to lead to Viv, it will take all of all of Kenni’s know-how to to prove her innocence. There’s one slight problem. Kenni’s been pulled off the case. The Mayor is worried about a “conflict of interest.” What will Kenni do to save her Mama? I was provided an ARC by NetGalley and Henery Press. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own and without influence.

I love this series!! Cottonwood, is a small town in Kentucky. Kenni Lowery is the town Sheriff. Her world is turned upside down when her mother becomes the main suspect in a murder of a food critic. She knows her mother didn’t do it but she will have to pull out all her tricks to prove it. With the help from her Deputy Sheriff, her poppa (in ghost form) and her BFF Jolee it is going to be a crazy ride.
The ending was a total surprise... I didn’t see that one coming. This series is a lot of fun and I look forward to reading many more books by Tonya Kappes.

read Tonya Kappes upcoming cozy Six Feet Under last Wednesday and It felt like coming home. This is the 4th book in the Kenni Lowry Series that comes out this March. Kenni is the sheriff with a great dog, who is assisted by the ghost of her grandfather who was also sheriff before he passed and her deputy is her boyfriend. Not to mention that her mother is part of the town elite and this is one tightnight small community. When murder comes to town yet again, suspicion is thrown on her Mamma and Kenni takes herself off the case, technically... plenty of other things to investigate in town like some pink colored disability parking permits and some remarkably younger looking faces....I hope you will love this series as much as I do and truly enjoy six feet under.

Its a little southern, a little romance, a little paranormal, a mystery and I loved it. Another great addition to the Kenni Lowry series. This one drew me in from the beginning. I love the interaction with the characters with each book you feel like you get to know them a little better and they start to feel like you are visiting old friends. I love Cottonwood, Kentucky and cant wait to visit again

Tonya Kappes has done it again with Six Feet Under I could not put it down. I love a book where you feel like you could just walk right in and be apart of the town and friends with the characters. This book just swept me right onto the story from the beginning with the friction between Kenni and her Mother right to. When Poppa's ghost shows up and Kenni gets that sinking feeling something was going to happen. Can Kenni figure out the who, what and where to keep her Momma out of trouble?
Cottonwood is getting a big time cooking show coming to town for Momma's chicken pot pie but when the arrogant host is murdered Momma is the prime suspect. Kenni has to solve it and fast for her Mommy's sake. Kenni jumps into the pot of boiling water with both feet, so to speak, to solve this murder.
I love how much the characters keep developing in this series. Kenni is intelligent, strong willed, caring but tough. Finn is handsome, charming and smart they are the perfect team and a little romance between them is a plus. Momma is irritating, loving, controlling and banny rooster when she has to be. I think my favorite other than Kenni is her Poppa. His ghosting in and out to help Kenni just makes the book. This book is just so fun and it has so many twists and emotions going on it keeps you wanting more and more. I can not wait for the next book in the series.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book “Six Feet Under”. Kenni Lowry, small town female sheriff, developed a conflict of interest when her mama becomes the prime suspect in the murder of a food critic who has come to town to do a review of her mama’s pot pie . As usual, the ghost of her Poppa (grandfather), shows up to help her solve the murder. Finn, Kenni’s deputy/boyfriend also works the case. Throw in a couple of other crimes, a bit of romance, and an interesting twist at the end of the story and you have an excellent story. I especially like the lack of gore and explicit details of the murder.

This time Sheriff Kenni Lowry’s murder investigation is personal. Mama Lowry is the prime suspect. Celebrity Chef Frank Von Lee comes to Cottonwood, KY to judge Mama’s award-winning pot pie and the ribs of another restaurant in a neighboring town. Just a few hours after Mama’s initial meeting with the chef, the town doctor is called to his hotel room. Unfortunately, he can not be saved. A half-eaten pot pie is found on a table in Von Lee’s room along with a not so nice review of the pot pie. The review has Mrs. Lowry’s name on listed as the cook, but how did he get the pot pie. The competition food is not supposed to be cooked or review until the next day. Sheriff Kenni’s moral compass is tested. Will she hid evidence, can she be impartial, or will she step away from the investigation?

Author Tonya Kappes is a fantastic storyteller. This is book 4 in the series, and the best one yet. All of our favorite characters are back- Poppa’s Ghost, Finn, Sheriff Kenni, Duke (Kenni’s dog), and Mama Lowry. Mama Lowry has a little bit bigger role in this book. I really enjoy the mother/daughter relationship. Being a southern myself, I know several southern mamas. I have a friend that her mother and Mrs. Lowry could be sisters. When reading the Kenni Lowry Mystery Series, I feel like I am reading about my friend Kenni, her mother, and friends.

This is a fun and entertaining story. Wonderfully charming characters full of southern charm and wit. The mystery is suspenseful and well written. Once I started the book I couldn’t put it down. I really enjoyed seeing how Kenni handled the test of her moral character. I definitely recommend this book to all mystery lovers, there is something for everyone (humor, paranormal, food, pets, romance, and small-town southern charm.)

I was provided with an ARC of this book with the hopes I would review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
