“I’m getting a second chance, and I’m not letting you go this time."

Misadventures of a Virgin is a sweet and sexy read about second chances. June is a small town girl. Kase is her high school crush whom left for college. Now he's back in town and one look at each other, sparks start to fly. Regretting of letting go of June years ago, Kase is determine to show her what they have is something worth pursuing. Of course, there are things that could jeopardize this new relationship. Will their love be strong to overcome them?

This is a good story, but at times it was hard to keep my interest in it. I don't know, there were times that I felt like it was dragging or found that something was missing. Regardless, there were other things that I liked about this book. Kase is all alpha romance hero. I liked him. The chemistry between Kase and June was good, making the sex scenes sweet and sensual. There was a surprise that I enjoyed. I kind of figured it out, but not to it's full extend. It was quite nice.

June Bell has had a crush on her neighbor, Kase McCasker for as long as their fathers have had issues. Kase’s father stopped the sale of the McCasker farm to expand the grounds of the Bell’s grand hotel. Now that Kase is back home for good can June convince him to move forward with the sale?

Four years ago, Kase left for college after receiving some news that changed his life. The entire time he was gone he hadn't forgotten about June. Now he is back and she wants to make a deal for the sale of his family land. How far is she willing to go to have this sale go through? Is she willing to share his bed?

This was another great Misadventures book and I highly recommend it.

I just want to say that these books just keep getting better as we go along. It starts off with June Bell trying to keep her daddy happy and going to see Kase who's stopping the sale of his family farm to her dad so that their family hotel can expand. Of course, June Bell also wanted to see Kase too see if her feelings for him were still the same. He left her after one kiss years ago and enough is enough. She's going to see him again and that's that. It was such a fun book watching the chemistry flare between the two of them. I really enjoyed reading this one. It was sweet and a little steamy and oh, so good. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Net Galley.

Good lord, Misadventures of a Virgin was smart, sexy, and un-put-downable! I loved the relationship between Kase and June. Loved their second chance romance and that it was an effortless love with all the other animosity between their families trying to hinder things. And that epilogue. *swoon* Perfect ending! The best of the Misadventures series so far!

To make her fathers dreams for expansion of the family hotel a reality, June agrees to spend time with Kast at his family homestead before it is sold to her father.

June and Kase's story is a little different with lots of steamy love scenes, some pretty intense conflict, and a few pretty overwhelming obstacles to hurtle before they can get to their happy ending.

I have been enjoying the series so far and this book was added to the list. Now the misadventures series is a collection of several authors collaborating to write different stories. Some books are written by one author, while some are written by two authors. I am a big fan of Meredith Wild and I must say that she always delivers the heat with her stories. This story follows June and Kase in the small town of Falls Edge. I'm pretty sure you guessed from the title that June is a virgin who was once in love with Kase as a teenager, who returns home after graduating from college. It is a typical second chance romance with a ton of heat.

June's family owns a hotel in town while Kase's family owns a farm. June's dad is interested in Kase's family land and a deal is struck between the two families to satisfy both sides. The interesting thing about this whole thing is the family rivalry between June and Kase's family. June's mother died when she was a baby and no one seems to want to tell June the truth about her mother which will ultimately play a major role in this story.

I know this review will be short because this story was okay and it did not have a wow factor and the characters were not that interesting. I like June and Kase together, but I did not connect with the characters. The events that unfolded towards the end of the story had me biting my nails because everything comes full circle in the last 20% of the book. The big climax did not deliver enough intensity for me and I feel that the characters were just being overly dramatic. Kase was a sweet character and he was hot for sure, but that was where it ended and June added nothing to the story.

Even though the characters were conventional with no depth, the story was enjoyable and delivered on the Meredith Wild promise. Meredith Wild is known for erotica and this book further pushes her reputation.

I enjoyed this book.
A good love story of a good girl finding her alpha male to fall in love with.
I liked the development of the characters from where they first started in the past to the present of finding one another again. Good build up of angst and once the angst is ignited into a hot sexy romance that left me breathless.
A Quick hot read to keep you toasty during these cold winter days.

Go oneclick it.

This is the latest installment in the Misadventures series and while it is not my favorite, it is an enjoyable second chance love story with twists, turns, betrayals and warm-hearted characters. June and Kase have known each other since they were children. On one night, long ago, they shared a stolen kiss before Kase was to leave for college. While he was away, June stayed home and worked in her family’s hotel. Times are changing and her father wants to expand. It should be easy enough all that has to be done is purchase the land that belongs to Kase’s family but that is not going to happen unless June agrees to spend two weeks with Kase. The more time they spend together, June learns that Kase never forgot about her nor the kiss they shared. However, there are secrets….Will June learn the truth about the feud between their two families and her deceased mother? Will Kase be able to handle the truth as well? Can they get over their insecurities and trust in the love that is rekindling between them to have a happily ever after? You will need to read the book and find out.
I volunteered to read an advance copy provided by Netgalley.

I'm really surprising myself by reading a lot of new authors this year and Meredith Wild is one of them. I'm generally not a straight romance/steamy read person. I like romance in all my reads but I don't want it to be the focal point. That's what I was worried about when I got this book sent to me, but as it turns out I was really surprised by how much I liked it! The story itself wasn't overly complicated and it only took me a few hours to finish. This could have easily been finished in one siting. There was some drama, as many romance books tend to have, but it wasn't the type I hate. (I can't stand cheating, needless flirty with other people to make a person jealous, etc.) Actually, I think for readers that might like to try reading romance with a hint of kink this would be the perfect starter. There isn't anything wild and crazy about it given June is a virgin and pretty novice at everything but Kase takes things slow and is open about communication, love, and respect when they do anything. (Those that read Fifty Shades, this is how a BDSM relationship should be.)

There isn't a lot of time for character growth given how short the story is but Kase really pulled a few 180's with his life and the person he wants to be for June so that made me really happy. I was also happy to see June taking charge of her life and not blindly following her fathers will.

Misadventures of a Virgin by Meredith Wild is the story of Kase McCasker and June Bell.
Kase and June family didn't get along but they had one night at a party where things got hot and heavy, where they got to know each other better and they had this super steamy kiss. Then Kase went off to college and June stayed behind in their small little town , helping out her father. June thought Kase would come back but he never did and June’s heart broke.
Fast forward couple years later and Kase has come back for June…but will June want him now:? Oh I loved the passion and the heat between these two. This was a great 2nd chance romance about two people who had miscommunication and misunderstandings down pat but they also had young love and great passion as well…so do they or do they not get their HEA? You must read this fantastic read by Meredith Wild to find out.

My Rating: 4.5 stars *****
“I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."

This is the fourteenth book in this series by this author. These books can be read as stand alone reads. This is a fantastic and hot and steamy addition to the series. I just couldn't put this book down, the story just sucked me in till the last page. I can't wait to read more from this author and in this series in the future.
Highly recommended

This book is part of the Misadventures series a set of fun, sexy and modern romances that offer a light yet satisfying read. Like all the other books in the series so far it stands completely alone and has a HEA. It is written in first person, present tense - which I felt jarred a bit at times - and is written purely from our heroine’s point of view except for a couple of instances towards the end of the book when it’s from our hero’s.

The book got off to an alright start. I like any kind of second chance at love, even if it’s two kids who liked each other when they were younger and now, as adults, they have a real opportunity to get together. And that, right there, is what my main problem with this book was. This pair, to my eyes, were still kids.

Almost from the start, when Kase and June saw each other for the first time in 4 years, they got hot and heavy with each other. We had no anticipation and no build-up. Then, it says that the pair didn’t even know each other back in high school - they had one encounter when they kissed and fondled and that was it. Hardly the basis for the obsession/love they seemed to feel for each other.

As I mentioned, the pair were young - 20 and 24. This isn’t in itself a problem except for the fact that it was clear in the pair’s actions that they were immature - especially June and to a lesser extent Kase. It was also clear that the author wanted us to know and remember that the pair were younger. June remarks about Kase, “Today…he looks like a normal college kid, in khaki cargo shorts, a plain white T-shirt, and sandals.” Maybe this would have turned me on when I was younger but now it just feels a bit wrong to be expected to lust after a college boy when I’m in my 30s.

I also had problems with the plot line and the ‘secrets’ that were presumably there to drive the story and keep the couple apart. It was slightly ridiculous but worse was the way that June especially reacted to the situations. She cried. And cried. And cried. I myself am an emotional sort and cry at the most ridiculous things but even I wanted to shake her and tell her to grow up.

In general the writing was alright - although as I mentioned above I didn’t much care for the writing being in the present tense. There was a little bit of flowery language and cliches going on which was a little surprising. We had ‘tornadoes of lust’, ‘gnawing hunger’, ‘velvet kisses’ etc. And with this being about a virgin (but not for long!) we had a few too many instances of “not being ready” etc for my liking. Luckily there were no mentions of flowers or maidenheads!

There was also sex here. I felt nothing.

Overall, this book wasn’t for me; I wasn’t a fan of much. Having said that (and all of the above!), perhaps I just wasn’t the right demographic for this book. I suspect it’s aimed more at the young adult / new adult market and sadly that’s just not me anymore. Only 2 stars from me but don’t dismiss this if you like the sound of it - I hope that others love it more than I did.

** spoiler alert ** DNF @ 31% I received an ARC from Netgalley.
I dove right into this book. There was NO build up with the H/h. They'd known ea other most of their lives, but in a matter of a couple of chapters, the H was telling h what he was going to do to her.
They hadn't seen each other in 4 years.
Sorry. I hate to DNF.

Recieved an Arc from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Meredith Wild is one of my favorite authors. Her books never disappoint and this one is no different.

Kase and June grew up together and had an almost moment together. Fast forward 4 years, kase is back in town and the feeling June and Kase had for each other are as powerful as ever.

The story revolves around a second chance at love, family secrets and forgiveness. If you’re a fan of The Misadventures series and Meredith wild, this is a must read!!!

Misadventures of a Virgin
Misadventures #14
Meredith Wild
4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another Misadventure short story that was really good. If you are looking for quick easy romances that get straight to the point then these books are perfect.
This one was really entertaining with a little bit of drama but otherwise just a straight forward romance with a touch of erotica.
Thanks NetGalley and Waterhouse Press for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

I have enjoyed the other books from this series but this one kept me scratching my head. I was expecting a different story than the second chance love story that this was. There was a lot of back story between the characters that did not make much sense until the end of the book and also making it hard to relate to the characters Kase and June. The whole 'dominant' theme with Kase did not even need to be mentioned as it was truly a non thing for the story. Overall, it was a quick read but I think that I was expecting a different story than this one.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via NetGalley.

It was okay. I received this book as an ARC for a honest review. This is a 2nd chance romance...they are fairly young, just out of college age. June has been helping at her family's hotel and that is all she's known. Kase on the other hand has gone off to college and has come back to find what to do with his life...work the his family's farm or sell. These 2 had a hot kiss before he went off to college....and it has sustained them these 4 years. My problem with this book was the lack of connection between these two....in the past and currently. I just couldn't believe June "waited" for him. The characters themselves were likable. I also felt there was too much story in a short book....family secrets, Kase's dominant edge, their fixation with each other, the plans to sell/development issue, finally the issues between the fathers. I loved the epilogue, though. It helped tie up the story in the end.
