Grab a cup of cocoa and curl up with the sweet holiday read. A pretty clean romance (we don't get past kissing), this is a second chance at love, and a new lease on life. It was a little hard to get past the whole hair salon/furniture store mash up, but if you can wiggle past that insanely unlikely situation the book is overall very enjoyable. At times I just wanted to yell at Morgan and Dallas to just put the past aside and get together already, and I'll leave the ending for you to read.

Great read. My first time reading something by this author. I look forward to reading her other books.
Good romance. Morgan and Dallas were close as kids due to a tragedy in the family they are torn apart.
Can the Christmas season and a lease mix-up bring these two people and Morgan's family full circle?
You will have to read to find out......

Forever Yours in Christmas Falls
Return to Christmas Falls, Book 5

I Picked Up This Book Because: Wanted a quick read

The Characters:

Morgan Reed:
Dallas Parker:
Ruby, Conner, Mr & Mrs Reed, Ms Anna Cate

The Story:

The set up was ideal to me. Morgan is moving home to Christmas Falls to open a salon. Through an accident her salon space is rented to both her and her childhood crush Dallas Parker. This is right up my alley however the things I didn’t count on were the spectre of Morgan’s sister Grace and Morgan’s unending need to please her mother no matter how miserable it makes her. Seriously I could have kicked Morgan. It took her way too long to realize she needs to live her life for herself and shame on her mother for making her think any different. I know my thoughts are harsh as I couldn’t tell anyone how to act after losing a child or sister but I found it so annoying.

Overall it wasn’t a terrible story, just a frustrating one.

A warm , incredibly funny and swoon worthy story that will make you laugh and feel only good vibes.

I like how the dialogue are carefully formulated, the words thrown by each characters are well thought and how it make you feel happy coming home to celebrate Christmas with loved ones.

I understand why Morgan is trying so had to keep her mom happy, she's family-oriented, selfless and she doesn't want to see her mom hurting over the loss of her other daughter.

Sometimes, what our parents want for us doesn't necessarily mean that it will make us happy. They say, "Mother knows best" but I know that, "Only you. knows what makes you happy". No problems are left unsolved without compromising, you just have to prepare yourself to have a talk with your parents so they would know how you are really feeling.

I liked this book. I felt like the story could happen in real life. I appreciate the group of best friends bust wish they were a bigger part of the story. Some of the story seemed to hop around a lot or get blended together making it a little hard to follow at times, but overall a good read. Perfect for those rainy days, curled up on the couch with a warm drink and blanket!

In true Susan Hatler fashion, this is a story created about love that knows no bounds and stands the test of time. Interwoven together with Dallas and Morgan’s rediscovery of their lost love was heart wrenching loss, best of heart machinations, and the sense of acceptance. There is so much to love about the story this author has crafted that will draw you into the characters’ lives, leaving you with warmth in your heart. Stripping away all the layers of baggage that was carried for years finds that there is love underneath which leads to Dallas and Morgan’s HEA. A story that is a must read which brings with it the magic of Christmas and everlasting love.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Forever Yours in Christmas Falls is the latest offering by contemporary romance novelist Susan Hatler. Morgan Reed is returning to her hometown of Christmas Falls, Tennessee just as the Christmas season begins. Unbeknownst to her parents, Morgan used her inheritance to gain her license in cosmetology rather than for the MBA her parents expected. Through her best friend Ruby Curtis, Morgan has rented the vacated space for Coraline’s Classic Beauty Salon. When she first arrives in Christmas Falls and stops to examine her new salon, she encounters Dallas Parker, who she has seen as a bain to her existence her youth.

Dallas has a reputation as a trouble maker, but it is more that he is the result of a troubled youth. Once out of school, the marines became his new home. After his service, he returned home to watch over family members. He bought a home in the country and has begun his own cottage industry of handmade furniture.

It appears that Dallas has also rented the same space for his new furniture showroom. However, when they attempt to contact their new landlord, they learn that Miss Coraline in on safari and will not return until Christmas Eve.
In this story of crossed wires and missed communications, we see modern day mishaps as well as historical incidents that lead to new understandings for the main characters. As Morgan exerts her feelings, both to her parents and Dallas, they all are forced to confront their feelings of what happened at Christmas Falls years before. And as they do, each finds their own closure.

This is a very good story of family and dealing with one’s own guilt. These are rich characters in a lovely setting told with great feeling. Following all the “rules” of good storytelling, this endearing story will warm your heart and put you in the mood for the holidays. I did enjoy this story and I do recommend this book!

This series is so heart-felt and feel good! I melted in this book. Excellent writing and character development.

I enjoyed the book a lot, 5 Stars even thought the h was a total coward about talking to her parents. A beautician who owns her own shop isn’t anything to embarrassed about. . But then I got to the river scene near the end and got too frustrated with the characters for the stupidity that followed. I realize that those types of events happen all the time in real life but maybe I was expecting more from both H and h. The chemistry was off the charts between the two of them. It was entertaining to see them learn to work together.

Morgan has felt burdened by her parents' expectations ever since her older sister died in a tragic accident. The problem is that she has different tastes from her sister but her parents seem reluctant to accept that. In finally moving back home to Christmas Falls to fulfill her dream, opening her own beauty salon, she knows that they will be against her. And when the shop she has leased turns out to also have been leased by her old crush from school days, Dallas, who her parents would never accept due to the part he played in Morgan's sister's death, things get even more complicated. Forced to choose between living her own life and living the life her parents want for her, will Morgan's choices break others' hearts too?

Good clean fun, with some touching parts and a good message - a great mixture for a light read. The character development was good, the gradual revelation of the whole background story well done, and some funny parts to keep the tone light. I LOVED the orange chair incident... Overall, a light read that I would be happy to recommend to anyone. Keep up the good work with the clean romance, Susan!

Note that although this is part of a series, it can stand alone - I haven't yet read previous books in the series and was not in the least lost. Having said that, I hope to read them sometime, because I've enjoyed every book of the author's that I've read.

Note that I received a free copy of the book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy. A crazy mix up over the leasing of a building leads to a romance! This book is part of a series and I cannot wait to go back and read the first books in this series. This book was a very quick read and would make a great beach read!

A cute story, that I couldn't put down (fortunately it can be digested in a day). I envisaged a beautiful Smoky Mountain setting and I could pretty much visualize all the characters too.

The story was sweet, had humor but also had sad and thoughtful moments. For a fictional story, I think you could walk away pondering life choices and regrets.

But overall it was a reasonably light easy read with a happy ending.
I look forward to reading more by this author.

This is a sweet romance that is filled with emotion, drama and love. The heroine and hero both have their demons and struggles, and they have to work hard to get past them.

This story was so well written and the characters were very lovable. It moved at a very nice pace and held my interest from start to finish. It is a wonderful sweet romance that is sure to delight any romance reader.

So I love Christmas stories no matter the time of the year. This story was very sweet even with all the self blame the MC had. Both wanting to start a new business but their space was double booked. Morgan was a great character learning to live for herself. Dallas was a wonderful character trying to show he was worthy. I received this book from NetGalley for a honest review.

Morgan and Dallas are so super cute together. Making the best of a furniture and hair salon in one building. Oh this story unfolds some hurt and painful memories for both Dallas and Morgan and I love that they are there for each other. Morgan's mother is a real piece of work in this book, I can clearly understand why she waits so long to see her when she gets back to Christmas Falls. The ending is really sweet and makes you fall for Dallas just a little bit more.

I read this book with relative enjoyment but found it lacking depth. It was very predictable and ok for a holiday read

This is a sweet romantic short story and the first time I have read Ms Hatler. Morgan has returned from her home town and plans to open a new business. Unfortunately, the space hasn't just been rented to her, but to her brother's old friend who she hasn't seen in years, Dallas. The owner won't return until the holidays, so they both decide to make it work. I really liked Dallas. He was sweet and kind. Morgan was okay, but at age 26 she was a wimp when it came to her overbearing mother. Morgan and Dallas share a tragedy from the past which her mother continues to blame Dallas, but he stands tall and Morgan finally finds some backbone before she loses the man who is her "one".
I received an ARC thru NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion
