I really enjoyed reading and learning about Tarsila do Amaral. This biography traces her life and art through Brazil and Europe. The text is accompanied by lots of illustrations. I really enjoyed seeing the sketches and work in progress for many of her paintings. Hopefully this book will make her and her work more well known. Enjoy

This was an illuminating exploration of an artist essential to the development of modernism, even as she forged her path infusing her Brazilian heritage and culture into her striking paintings!
