Off Limits is a good fit for readers looking for a fast-paced, lighthearted yet emotional contemporary romance with a strong focus on forbidden love and physical attraction between two individuals who must navigate their complex relationship in the workplace.

Could not get into the story. Too slow. Not enough interest in the characters. Really wanted to enjoy this but the plot for a work romance didn't work for me.

For me, getting into this book was a little hard, but after you get into it, it is a good story. Definitely worth the read if you are willing to commit with it.

Thank you for the opportunity to read Off Limits. Unfortunately, I did not read the book before it was archived in March 2018. I do not plan to finish the book.

I enjoyed this Dare title - it lived up to its name and was a very sexy read. I would read more books in this vein, for sure.

Welcome to the hot romance world of Clare Connelly. In this one, Jack is the boss & Gemma works for him. When late nights turn hot, will the relationship work, or will it blow everything up?

What a fascinating book. I was impressed by the storyline and the characters were all well written and complex. Where there are complex storylines combined with intriguing characters the reader experience is magnified tremendously. To have a book that is well written as well as entertaining is a delight. Reading is about escaping your world and entering another one. The word building was phenomenal in this book. Here I forgot about my own life and was immersed in the world created by the author. I would recommend this book.

Oh I am new to Clare Connelly & I am now a fan! Off Limits was a great boss romance that consumed me from the first page to the last! Loved beyond words!!!!

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

This was a short but very steamy workplace romance. In this case, the hero is the heroine's boss. I can see where some people might be put off by this romance trope. However, that is all in personal preference. I, for one, found it to be an enjoyable read, perfect when you just need an escape.

OFF LIMITS by Clare Connelly is part of a new Harlequin book series called Dare, each book is by a different author, but each book is a stand alone.

For this book being part of a Harlequin series I was very disappointed in this book for many reasons, first off the sex scenes lacked any kind of spark between the two main characters Gemma and Jack, (Jack is Gemma's boss). The second part that disappointed me was the way that Jack dominated Gemma (and not because he's a Dom) but because he takes what he wants from Gemma and gives nothing back to her, and for her to just let him really bothers me a strong, independent women today, no women should let a man use her like that, but then on the other hand she keeps going back for more even though he is just using her.

Overall the story line of the book was ok, boss wants to cross the line with employee and vice versa, I think it just needed more sparks and fire works to make it a great book.

Good story - first time reading this author. Not sure what the expectation of the "dare" line from Harlequin but I didn't find this to be "daring". Would read more by this author.

What a whirlwind! The magic of Jack and Gemma was unmistakable from the beginning and it drew me in. Unlike most billionaire stories, this one felt real. The passion can’t be matched and the storyline was superb. Leaving me chuckling and smiling. Book provided by NetGalley.

I found this book to be quite boring. I know this is supposed to be a sexy new line from Harlequin, but there was zero build-up to any of the sex scenes. The characters were really dull and annoying too. Unfortunately, this book was not for me. Thank you to the publisher for a chance to read the book.

Off Limits is a story of crossing the lines with your boss. Gemma lasts two years working for Jack before she has the misfortune to face the shock of bulldozing across that fine line. Once that line is gone it is impossible to reconstruct. This is a good book worth your time. Strong characters, lots of angst and a nice ending.

Another book from the “Dare” series.
Can be read without reading the others. Gemma has been Jack’s assistant for nearly 2 years, and has had to endure the endless line of women in and out of her bosses life and bed. Having to order flowers for dates. And to listen to him moan about “how clingy the last one was”Even though she knows what he like, it won’t stop her from being attracted to him. But it’s a line she won’t cross, she loves her job, and if they did, then she’d lose it all !!!! Jack is still in the grieving process over the death of his wife.
Yes he hides behind the endless stream of women, and some might say, that he should respect himself a little more, and the memory of his wife, (but if you lose someone close to you, you lose yourself for a while)
They both have this attachment or attraction to one another, but as Gemma has never given Jack the slightest come in, he won’t cross the line. But that’s not to say he hasn’t thought about her 😉

Until a late night working in the office together one thing leads to another…..

Now everything has changed this isn’t just about a one night stand it has the potential to be so much more.

Jack and Gemma’s relationship was a constant push and pull, and did have its turbulent moments. Do they find a way to get past Jack’s grief ? Does Gemma make Jack see that it’s ok to love another ?

The story of the billionaire falling for the meek assistant might sound a little cliched, and yes it was in places, but it was still a good little read.

This was my first book from this author and it was a decent read. This is your well versed trope of boss/employee forbidden romance. This has that "I shouldn't imagine my boss naked" feel and then they get their HEA. I wish Gemma would have stood up for herself a little more, but I mean, this was a fun, quick read.

Fairly formulaic boss/secretary romance with a few interesting details thrown in for kicks. It was fun to read, but not my new favorite. It delivered on the promise of what Harlequin Dare would deliver.

I love this new Harlequin line. I didn't get to read it when it first came out, but was glad I was able to go back and catch up.

I really, really disliked this book. It was weird, boring and had all sorts of issues. It was devoid of any real plot, chemistry and was extremely problematic.

I will never understand why women enjoy romances where the male character is a jumped up, arrogant bigot who treats women like possessions/sexual playthings yet still gets the girl. There is nothing romantic about a man treating a women with zero respect. There is nothing sexy about a man who repetitively treats a woman like his personal prostitute and talks to her like shit afterwards.

There was noting appealing about this book or this relationship for me. There are already too many manipulative, disrespectful, problematic man out there in real life. I don't need to be reading about one in a book. Especially one that is suppose to be a romance.
