Oh my, Oh my! I don't even know what to say, but this was one hot read! This is the story of Gemma Picton and Jack Grant. Jack is Gemma's boss and for 2 years she has been trying not to be attracted to him.  Jack and Gemma's story was amazing.  

Gemma and Jack go through a lot just to get where they are left. 

I feel like it was missing something in the build up of their relationship. The last few chapters seemed rushed. Nonetheless, I still loved how it ended, they were perfect in the end. 

This is my first book by this author and it won't be my last. I highly recommend it!

Off Limits by Clare Connelly is the story of Jack Grant and Gemma Picton.
Gemma is Jack personal assistant and knows what a man whore he has become after the lost of his wife to cancer. With this knowledge she has put her feelings from him aside to work as a professional toward him...besides if anything happened she might have to quit the job she loves. Jack has been attracted to Gemma and when a time hits that he can no longer hold back his desire he makes his move.
This was a very hot office romance to love story!

Wonderful boss/employee love story.

Clare Connelly did a fantastic job with this multi-layered love story. Gemma and Jack have worked together for 2 years, a sexual tension building until one day it explodes changing their relationship forever. Jack and Gemma were written as such believable characters. Their passion singeing the pages. The plot kept my interest from the first page, sexy, heartwarming and even heart wrenching at time this was a very enjoyable read.

Well Mills & Boon* have definitely entered the more erotic genre with a good degree of flair. This is a fun read, with a minor aristocrat and a billionaire, and a happy ending... but with plenty of heating up the sheets along the way.

Gemma chooses to use her brain rather than her trust fund and has found herself as the indispensable in-house counsel for super-hot, never-repeat-a-hook-up, billionaire Jack. She copes by being ice-cool, on the outside at least. As her facade slips and he takes advantage, the story heats up.

A very readable story which was excellent distraction on a long flight, thank you, Ms. Connelly.

This was a new to me author and I loved this book, some of the best tropes also. Friends to lover, billionaire, unrequited love. Jack just looks for no strings relationships after losing his wife. Gemma wants to just work but when they decide to have a quick relationship they can’t stay away from each other away. This is a great read I recommend this book. I will be reading other books from Clare Connelly.

This is a quick and sexy read that hits all the spots it needs to in order to leave you hot and bothered. Jack is a billionaire widower who has made it a practice to have one night stands and love them and leave them and if he remembers their names okay but they remember him kind of life since his wife died. Gemma has worked for him for two years and as his right-hand woman she has seen them come and go and also the underlying sparks they seem to generate. When those sparks ignite and what has been off limits for so long turns into something more will it grow or not. This was fast paced and H-O-T. Definitely a fun and spicy read!

Jack and Gemma work together and have had a spark going between them for sometime. Jack is a self made good looking Irish playboy and Gemma is lawyer who graduated from Oxford and is literally a lady. This book was hot and steamy. I loved Jack and Gemma dynamics and their on going banter. If you are looking for a hot sexy time read, then give this one a shot. Congratulations to the Author Clare on another excellent read.

I loved, loved, loved this book. It's emotional and beautiful. The heroine, Gemma, is strong, confident and unashamed to ask for what she wants. Jack is a tortured hero and downright swoon worthy. I strongly recommend it, especially as one of the first books in the new Harlequin DARE series. I loved it so much I also bought it.

So I was a fan of harlequin blaze stories and was sad when they stopped last year. I was happy to see a new series of books coming out. These are steamier then previous books and can't wait to read more.
I enjoyed this book about a boss and co-worker who finally give in to feelings.

This is steamy, amusing and entertaining. Jack is cold, stubborn and emotionally broken. Gemma is smart, determined and snarky. After fighting their attraction for 2 years, Jack finally gives in, and pushes Gemma into, a relationship that neither wants to happen. And they get addicted to each other. Jack is really a jerk about it, but Gemma can't help herself. It's an intense and drama filled storyline that leads to a touching ending.

Bummer. The story and the writing style just doesn’t work for me.

When I first read the premise for “Off Limits,” it jumped right out at me, immediately grabbing my attention. After all, who doesn’t love an illicit office romance? Throw in a hot billionaire boss, and I was pulled in all the way. But once I delved between the pages, my interest in this story suddenly took a nosedive. It wasn’t the subject matter or the raw, gritty sex that turned me off, but rather, the two main characters themselves.

In a nutshell, I found both Jack & Gemma to be extremely unlikeable. Jack is a narcissistic man-whoring jerk who uses his dead wife’s memory to justify his selfish behavior. And then there’s Gemma, an indecisive woman who is the doormat that Jack continually walks all over. So, as much as I was looking forward to losing myself in a sexy office romance, what I actually got was an annoying story I could barely get through.

This is the first story I have read in Dare line and I am totally hooked. What a fantastic add to Harlequin line. I have read and devoured stories by Claire Connolly previously and have absolutely loved her stories and this one is no surprise. Great plot and sizzling hot story. Aren’t rules made to be broken. Gemma works for Jack and has feelings for him. The emotions, spark , undeniable chemistry between Jack and Gemma was burning my kindle. After reading this I went ahead and pre-ordered all the available Dare titles on Amazon.

Lady Gemma Picton works as the in-house counsel/personal assistant for billionaire manwhore Jack Grant. (The start of the book makes his horndog reputation clear, so I'm not giving away anything here.) She is of course attracted to him though she has seen the evidence first hand, and he thinks she's hot so he is more than ready to get her in his bed. Am I being unfair? Maybe, but this is just the type of 'hero' that I cannot stand. I had to work to finish the book because I just couldn't stand him and couldn't forget his reputation. Sure, there's a backstory that explains why he is that way, but even after understanding him I just couldn't like him or figure out why Gemma would choose him. Have some hot nooky, but move on girl! But we know since this is a romance the ending is guaranteed to be a HEA.

So this is why I was underwhelmed with the book. The writing was good and I don't blame the author, it just ended up being a trope that I don't like. I will continue to enjoy my other HQN reads though, at least until they are taken away!

This story was a difficult one for me. I couldn't get into it, not even after a few attempts and it had nothing to do with the fact that I find stories written in the first person very difficult to enjoy. This one was full of steam, which I love. Unfortunately it wasn't filled with much else. There wasn't the push and pull of a romance it was just full steam ahead and sad to say, neither of them changed much by the end.

After suffering the ultimate heartbreak Jack Grant has sworn off anything resembling love or anything other than a strings free relationship of convenience...but after one line crossing night with his assistant he can't help but want more. He knows starting something with Gemma is wrong on so many levels, but working alongside her day in and day out is far too tempting and torturous and as much as he knows he should say no, he can't help but say yes. And once he does there is no turning back...



Gemma Picton knows her boss has a lot of demons to deal with, losing his wife damn near killed him, and she wants to be the one to heal the brooding billionaire. But mixing business with pleasure is a huge "no-no" and crossing that line with him could potentially cost her everything... but she just can't walk away. Everyday she watches him, admires him, and constantly wonders what it would be like to get her hands on him... and one night when she gets the opportunity to find out she guiltily grabs the opportunity with both hands!



Off Limits is a dirty little tale brimming with scorching heat and heartfelt emotion that is certain to leave erotic romance readers craving more!! This was a new literary adventure for me, as it was my first story from this author, and I have to say her forbidden office romance read definitely impressed. From reading the synopsis I had a feeling it would be a hot one, and wow was it ever!! If you are looking for a quick read with lots of heat and emotion, then I highly recommend you pick this one up... it will give you everything you are looking for and so much more!!

I absolutely love the Harlequin Dare series as they are sexy and smoldering and perfectly sized to be palette cleansers between longer books. Jack and Gemma's story was amazing. A very sexy office romance and then some.

Gemma Picton knows that her insanely hot boss Jack Grant is a bad idea. He may be her boss and a billionaire tycoon, but she knows he is commitment phobic after the passing of his late wife. Despite the insane chemistry between them she knows that he would never be able to love again after losing his wife. But when passions explode candidate crossed can Jack's "off-limits" heart be open to love again?

Gahh!! I lovvvved this book. Jack was the perfect emotionally damaged Alphahole boss who was arrogant and aggressive in his pursuit of Gemma. And good Lord did he pursue her. The sexytimes in this novel were SCORCHING. And Gemma was the perfect sassy counterpart to him. She gave as good as she got and didn't let him walk all over her. She was fantastic and honestly this short book has been more enjoyable than longer novels I've read recently. I laughed, I cried and I cheered and I loved this story with my whole heart! I will now devour anything by this author!
