This was a good book, moved fast, was very hot. I really liked Alex.I generally am not a huge fan of the boss / employee romance novels, but this one hit the spot.

An employer / employee romance that has heat and tons of tension. The chemistry between them is strictly to satisfy that itch.

Can Olivia guard her heart or will she discover that Alex is exactly the man to bring her what she needs.

One week, who will win?

I received A Week to Be Wild in return for an honest review from the publisher.

Libby has received an amazing chance an all expensed paid trip to London for a business seminar. This will give her the chance to branch out her business in Europe which she's hoping to do. It just so happens that someone had a reason for inviting her to business trip so that they can pitch her to work for his charity. However, Libby isn't so sure of the idea because he happens to be the sexy billionaire who's making her feel things she hasn't felt in years.

Alex needs Libby's help for his charity but he can't deny the controlling brunette might be more than just a business opportunity. When she rejects his first attempt to hire her it only makes him want her more and not just because of her work. When they come to an agreement to mix business with pleasure her week-long stay becomes a whirlwind adventure. Will she be able to leave him at the end of the week? Will he be able to let her go?

I've been eagerly looking forward to A Week To Be wild it tells the story of Libby and Alex who have this sizzling firey chemistry. This may be your typical girl meets billionaire businessman but that's where the similarities end. The author has created a captivating fast-paced steamy romance that leaves your toes curling. I really enjoyed the characters they are easy to connect with you can't help connecting with them. The author has created a steamy story that captures the heart as well as the imagination. This is a perfect quick read for anyone needing a steamy happy every after.

A WEEK TO BE WILD BY J.C. Harroway is part of the new Dare Harlequin series.

I had very high hopes for this new series from Harlequin, but boy oh boy has my bubble been burst. With each of the three books that I read from the series the stories failed to capture my attention, nor were any of the characters memorable for me. This book for me lacked any kind of WOW moment and there was anything but chemistry between the two main characters.

The story line is taboo, employer/employee relationship and has some insta love, but there was no sparks for me between Alex and Libby, they meet and seconds later want to fall in bed with one another and of course they try and fight their attraction. This story was just didn't do anything for me and I could not wait to get the end of the book.

The perfect and sexy Valentine’s Day read that you have to it on your kindles. A Week to be Wild is a story about sizzling, instant connection between two people who know exactly what they want—and aren’t afraid to go after it.

“His mouth burned to kiss her. To see if her plump, pouty lips tasted as good as they’d looked when she whispered the word fucking.”

This is a pretty quick read, so as soon as it starts, the sooner you realize that your finished with the book. Libby and Alex come to terms both in a professional setting, as well as a personal one. By personal, I mean sex. Lots of passionate and intense sexual yearning that could only be scratched by the other.

Libby is definitely a character to love. As I stated above, she knows exactly what she wants. But no man is going to boss her around. Her attitude makes Alex want all the more. I have to agree with him; it’s always a good thing to see a woman take charge the way she does.

“If we’re working together…’ her eyes flicked to his crotch, still displayed before her ‘…and fucking, I won’t be bossed around.”

Alex is sexy as hell. Characters like his—arrogant, dirty talking, charming, etc—are the reason I love bad boys. Overall, I thought this was fun and look forward to reading more books from DARE. I think readers will love this as well because it has a feisty woman who doesn’t take shit, and the a man that she’s brings to his knees. Who wouldn’t love that?

REVIEW: This is part of a new series “DARE” but as they are standalone’s, you can easily read it on it’s own.

Libby is an American business woman who has sworn off men, she likes her quiet life, she did the “loving life on the edge” but it didn’t turn out great for her.
So …… She’s in Europe on business to further her career, and when she meets Alex …… it’s instant attraction

Alex is a billionaire …… he loves his life, it’s a fast paced, adrenaline filled one. He’s use to getting WHO and WHAT he wants, but he’s about to meet his match.

Alex wants Libby’s help in launching a charity set up for his sister’s memory. Does he have an ulterior motive ? Hell yes, he’s fascinated with this American, (she wants him, but on her terms), and he loves the fact she won’t back down or give in.
He wants to show her the city and he wants her in his bed, but wanting and getting are two different things.

Its interesting to read the characters, as both have been successful in business, but as people, they are vulnerable and have been hurt in their own ways. And their pasts have a huge say in how they interact with others.

Yes, it’s predictable…… there are steamy scenes….. a little romance… a few laughs. And a part in the book that makes you wonder if that’s it for them (lizzy is on a week deadline, then she goes home)

But if you like a quick steamy read, then this one is for you.

This is the story of Olivia Noble (Libby) and Alex Lancaster. Libby has her own marketing business and Alex wants to hire her to do work for his company. The only problem is that they are attracted to each other and can't separate business and pleasure.

I was unsure of this book from the beginning due to the insta-attraction. That aspect alone took away from the characters truly getting to know each other apart from the sexual relationship. However, the characters come to an agreement that she would work for him but they would also carry on a sexual escapade that was separate from the business relationship.

I wanted to DNF this book so bad. This one was nothing like the other DARE books I have read. I am usually engulfed in these books. This one...not so much. It took me so long to read because of disinterest. It became repetitive and boring. I thought this was a book about getting wild. The female character was not adventurous. She also wanted control because she had given her all to one man and lost him due to an accident. She thought about falling in love with him from the beginning, but Alex was not proposing a relationship. He was talking about sex, not love.

I did not feel the chemistry between these characters. If this was supposed to be a story with a battle of wits, then I did not see a formidable battle. The author was pushing something that had not been established. "The more time she spent with the captivating businessman, the greater the risk of her succumbing to her attraction to him". At that point, she spent like 3 minutes with him. There was no time our buildup to a true connection.

I did not like the development of these characters. Olivia was trying her hardest not to interact with Alex due to her unstable libido. She did not trust herself to keep it business. She hid herself in her work. I had to question if Alex Lancaster was really arrogant. That was the picture Libby painted of him from the beginning. I did not get a hint of arrogance though. She was throwing all of her insecurities on him. This broad was also too horny. Every movement or statement he made turned sexual in her mind. This got tiresome. She looked too desperate. She was too focused on not succumbing to him and dropping to her knees at his request when he had not even mentioned it. Libby acted like a baby sometimes. I thought that Alex should have stopped trying to impress her, just give her the business project, and let it be at that.

Throughout the book, I was wondering why Alex was attracted to her. He was willing to mix business and pleasure. His perception of Olivia was twisted. He thought she was unimpressed with him, that she did not want to please him, and that she knew what she wanted. She was far from all of that. He was clueless. Thinking back to all I wrote earlier, these characters were perfect for each other. They were all in their own minds and was not in touch or aware of reality. Both were delusional.

The story was lackluster. The aspect that aggravated me the most was the grammatical errors. I know I was reading an ARC but all the errors were forcing me to re-read a lot of sentences in order to get an understanding. They took away from the experience. Also, the introduction of other characters when the reader did not have a chance to learn about the main ones brought forth confusion. I cannot recommend this book. The title have a false sense of the contents. There was little character development. Lastly, there was no chemistry between the main characters.

Good read, nothing really new, just a well written story with relatable characters that provided a very enjoyable read.

I've chosen not to finish this title. The editing was rough and words were missing, which made it difficult to follow the story.

Short, somewhat emotional and steamy romance. Had a hard time connecting with Libby. Although she was emotionally scarred when her previous relationship ended through tragic circumstances, it was puzzling for her to be playing games with Alex. She seems detached at times although very affected by him.

The story improves as it moves along, when background details started dropping. This is a decent read

Their entire business relationship was completely bizarre and didn't make any sense. I enjoyed their sparks and chemistry, and the book was well-written.

A Week to be Wild is a steamy romance all about passion. Libby and Alex are passionate about their businesses and very successful in their fields, but what starts out as a little bit of a game between the two ends up snowballing into love. A fast paced, steamy romance that will entertain you and leave you with a smile.

I received a copy of the novel for a blog tour and, due to the restrictions in place for such a tour, I did not review it during the blitz because I did not like it. The writing was not good and the story was boring, basic, and could not hold my interest.

Well, hot and wild in a week, this book did deliver that. It was short but filled with lots of steam if that is what you are looking for. This is a new print for the Harlequin line and will be sure to find a suitable market ready to devour all the books in the line. As of now, it seems that all books are only in e-book format. I did find the insta-love a little too far fetched, but we have all seen that guy that sets our heart a thumping! There is a lot to be said for an author that can make 'safe' sex erotic! Definitely looking for more books by JC!

A Week to be Wild by JC Harroway

Subgenre: contemporary
Release date: 22 Feb 2018
Publisher: Mills & Boon DARE
Format: ebook
Length: 224 pages

They have much in common but will the chemistry last?

Alex Lancaster is determined to have Olivia Noble design a media blitz for his special program Able Active which he created in memory of his sister. Alex is a self-made IT billionaire but is also a notorious playboy. He wants Olivia to work on the media aspects of his program to give it the international exposure he wants. He wants her for the week. He also has fantasies about Olivia when he sees her and what he would like to do to her.

Olivia (Libby) Noble is a publicist of sorts. She is just starting her business with her friend in New York and while the business is still small it is making an impact. Libby has not had sex for four years since the death of her fiancé. She loved, and still loves him. She is attracted to Alex but doesn’t want to ruin things. At first, she declines Alex’s proposal of staying for a week to look at Able Active but she then learns that he paid for her trip, and she feels she should give him some time. Unfortunately for Alex Libby is reluctant to do activities such as hot air ballooning and jet skiing and she most certainly does not want to do a family wedding.

Alex and Libby are similar in some respects. They have both had a death of someone close so they are both fearful to start anything more permanent. Both feel guilty about the deaths, Alex of his sister and Libby of her fiancé. It all comes back to Libby when Alex gets on a jet ski and hits a wave and appears to crash. She runs back home with the excuse that she needs to see her friend, and business partner’s baby. There is a happy ever after for Alex and Olivia.

The sexual relationship between Alex and Libby is intense. They want it when they want it. The evolution of their sexual relationship, the chemistry, fears and feelings is rapid and all-encompassing until they finally admit to they should be together, forever.

This book is written from the third person perspective. Readers should be aware that the sexual relationship takes precedence over the emotional relationship in this line. The emotion does come to the fore for the happy ever after but it is all about instant attraction and the sex.

I am really loving this new Harlequin imprint, Dare. The stories are quick and sexy and very tasteful. A Week to be Wild took place during ... you guessed it, a week LOL ... and it was perfectly done. Both our leads have alpha tendencies and that just made the story more striking to me. The attraction at first sight that grew to be much more unfolded at a realistic pace. I know, I know ... a week! ... but I'm telling you, it's believable and realistic and very very sexy! So high rec from me!

Losing her fiancé was hard for Libby Noble and it's made her wary of men that live life like it's one bid adventure. However, when she strikes a deal with British Billionaire Alex Lancaster, she finds herself being coaxed out of her comfort zone. There's just one thing she wants...and that's to be able to remain in control at all times. Will Libby be able to move on from the lose of her fiancé to give Alex and her a shot at happy ever after, or will she run scared from another chance at love and happiness?

What an enjoyable and engaging read this author has delivered in this book where the main characters back stories, especially that of the heroine, had me hoping she'd give the hero a chance; the dialogue was riveting and had me really liking this couple together, as the heroine needed to be pushed out of her comfort zone in order to heal from her past; and the fast-paced storyline had me hooked due to the obstacles these two have to overcome to be together. Will the hero and heroine be able to help each other heal from the losses they've suffered in their pasts?

I really liked both the main characters, and I could understand why the heroine was running scared when it comes to the hero's need for adventure and his reckless ways. However, in saying that, I liked Libby's resilience and her determination to take a chance on the hero, as she conquers a lot more than I thought she would when it comes to the adventures the hero takes her on; adventures I thought she'd never have anything to do with after how she lost someone she loved. While the hero, he's used to getting what he wants and I liked how much the heroine challenged him. I also liked that he was willing to play by the heroine's rules, even though it's hard for him to do so since he likes being the one in charge. Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero was that he was willing to accept the heroine's advice when it came to his family situation, as he needed to repair his relationship with his mom.

Overall, this story was a really good read where the chemistry between this couple was heady and intense; the romance was fan-your-face hot; and the ending had me cheering for this couple's happy ever after, as the heroine needs the hero just as much as he needs her to be able to heal from the wounds of their pasts. I would recommend A Week to be Wild by JC Harroway, if you enjoy the mysterious strangers trope or books by authors Anne Marsh, Jackie Ashenden, Lisa Childs and Clare Connelly.

Olivia is a Successful Modern Woman. With her own boutique marketing firm in New York, she has everything in her life firmly under control. And a wild fling with adrenaline junkie Alex Lancaster is very definitely not in her plans.

Alex is an absolute charmer. A billionaire, he’s not cut from the same mold as a lot of the ‘alpha billionaire’ romance heroes; he’s more a maverick, a free thinker. Both he and Libby have personal tragedies in their past, but Alex has found a healthy outlet to assuage his survivor’s guilt in the form of a charity he is passionate about. It’s opening up about this which shows Libby he’s for real, and it makes for a very believable relationship growing between them as they both slowly expose their inner vulnerabilities.

And oh my. This was a HOT ONE. While the romance grows steadily, the steam is there from very early on; Libby is completely in command of her sexuality and Alex finds that ridiculously hot. Harlequin DARE are really going for it on the sensuality stakes with this new range, so maybe don’t read this one in public if open-door bedroom scenes make you blush, or you’ll be answering some awkward questions!

Five stars for a hot read with some fantastic character development and a very believable romance.
