This book is very hot, super steamy …so sizzling !!! Lizzy is in London for a business seminar and meets billionaire Alex. He wants Libby to participate in the launch of a charity set up for his sister but when the two meet, the chemistry isn’t just volatile it is totally scorching hot! Libby is this American business woman who has sworn off men who live on the edge. Yet Alex seems to get past that barrier she has set up- there is this chemistry between them. His offer comes out of left field and it is one that does make her pause. They are both quite vulnerable despite their many business successes and the reader gets to see them show their vulnerable sides and their pasts and how it relates to the present. Also we see how this intense chemistry controls them, whereas Alex is under Libby’s spell and Libby seems to control Alex and Alex seemingly is more excited by this and this causes more of a power imbalance. More power to Libby which Alex thrives under. Their relationship at times was strange and off but yet not. It is a very steamy and graphic book and won't be for everyone. This isn’t your mother’s romance read, it is for a certain set of romance readers like will be attracted to the sizzle and steam in this story. Libby and Alex’s courtship will have you turning on a fan for the heat is very steamy.

Quick but steamy read.

Alex and Olivia had chemistry from the beginning. She was holding back and he didn’t want to hold back. She was American on a business trip in Europe when she met the hit British billionaire. He was immediately smitten with her beauty and her intelligence. But Olivia had something happened to her in the past that held her back from any relationship.

Alex didn’t care and he worked hard to convince her to give him a chance. She didn’t cave in completely but gave him a week but with her rules. But feelings started getting in the way and she backed out.

Long story short Alex made her believe again in love. It wasn’t easy for him because she was stubborn but she couldn’t hold back how she really felt for him.

London, England – Present Day

Olivia “Libby” Noble came to London to speak at a business seminar and encounters billionaire businessman Alex Lancaster at the after party. Everyone has heard of Alex and meeting him in person has Libby understanding why he’s so powerful. She is drawn to his attractiveness and is stunned when he immediately latches onto her. Before the night is over, Alex is proposing they work together on a project and asking her out. Of course, Libby can’t refuse him, because he has this insane effect on her.

Libby will be in London for only a week, but why not enjoy the time and have a fling with the sexy and rich Alex? His smooth seduction of her leads them to the bedroom, where he proves to be a masterful lover. Alex is used to getting his way and is persuasive in getting Libby to change her original plan to tour London. Even as she enjoys their one-week fling, she is aware that she will soon leave. But leaving Alex may prove to be hard as Libby begins to fall in love with him.

The name of this book, A WEEK TO BE WILD, pretty much sums what is going on between Libby and Alex. She’s there to give a speech and do a little business and touristy things, but she ends up getting deliciously sidetracked by him. He is used to getting his way and knows how to use his charms. Libby hasn’t been involved with another man since her fiancé was killed years ago, so she’s ripe for a little romance. Alex is insatiable, and Libby can match him as she makes up for lost time.

The chemistry between Alex and Libby in A WEEK TO BE WILD is like a slow burn that finally bursts into flames. She is stunned at her reaction to him when she spots him staring at her at the party. Because she hasn’t been in the dating pool for a while, she isn’t sure how to react. But Alex convinces her to meet with him…for a potential business deal, of course. In A WEEK TO BE WILD, not all their time is spent in bed as he takes her on adventures to see the country. He has a business to run, but he wants her by his side, in and out of bed.

Libby lets her hair down in the sizzling hot A WEEK TO BE WILD by JC Harroway. Will their fling lead to something more?

A Week to be Wild by JC Harroway

Olivia Noble has gone to England from New York to deliver a speech at the request of a prestigious group. Little did she realize that billionaire Alex Lancaster suggested she give the speech and that his interest in her had more to do with desire than her marketing abilities. Negotiations between the two sees Olivia agreeing to stay for a week to assist Alex’s charity launch something close to his heart and also…spending time together enjoying much more pleasurable activities. As with most books of this genre there are steamy scenes, some romance, fun activities, a peak that separates them and the coming together again by the end of the story. I had trouble seeing these two together for most of the first half of the book and even toward the end wondered what they saw in one another. This is a somewhat predictable story with plenty of explicit situations to tantalize the reader. It definitely meets the criteria Harlequin DARE imprint has specified it will provide.

Thank you to NetGalley, Barclay Publicity and Harlequin DARE for the ARC – This is my honest review.

A tantalizing kick-off to the new Harlequin Dare line! I've been anxiously awaiting the new ultra sexy line to see what it would be like, and I left fairly happy! It was a slow start with a little fear that it was going to be too laid back and not enough substance, but once the hero and heroine started to let their armor down and show their true selves, the plot developed well and left me liking them both and pulling for their happily-ever-after ending. Looking forward to seeing more from the line!

New Yorker Libby Noble likes her life on the stable side. She lived the wild and crazy lifestyle once upon a time and it didn't work out all that well for her, so now she's concentrating on furthering her career with a trip to London to speak at a conference.

Billionaire Alex Lancaster enjoys life in the fast lane and always gets what he wants. Libby doesn't know that he's had his eye on her work for  awhile and planned this little foray for her so he could request her assistance on a project that's near and dear to his heart. When instant attraction sizzles between them, he's more than happy to sweeten the pot with a fling!

I enjoyed this novel but found the chemistry to be somewhat lacking between the hero and heroine. It also felt rushed. While I have loved previous Dare titles, this one was not my favorite.

I would.like to thank Netgalley and Harlequin for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review.

Alex Lancaster likes to walk on the wild side, likes a good thrill, and really enjoys taking a challenge head on, and of course walking away the winner... and his current challenge is not only beautiful, but also the perfect person to help him get his charity off the ground. The problem is she doesn't date men like him, and as much as he wants her help with his charity, he also really wants a night or two with her... so he decides that he is going to have to really turn on the charm to convince her to see things his way!

When Alex approaches Libby about helping get his new charity off the ground she is happy to help him out, even if it means doing a little out of the country traveling; she could check out the sights or something while she is there. Or, get a more in depth view of the man behind the charity... as much as she wants to resist Alex's charm, she knows the more time she spends with him the harder it's going to be to tell him no! He is gorgeous, sweet, and oh so tempting!!

Romance reading fans will love "A Week to Be Wild", it's captivating, and riddled with non-stop sexiness that is certain to leave them weak in the knees!! This was a first time read for me, and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed what I found, the story line was highly engaging, the chemistry between the characters was off the charts, and the sexy times were wickedly hot!! Highly recommend you get your hands on this one, it's sure to leave your fingertips scorched!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.

It's only fitting that one of romances most daring authors helps kick off a risque venture for Harlequin. A Week to Be Wild is a bit cat and mouse, but with a large quantity of sex appeal to amp up the chase. Underneath all the fireworks unfolds a tale of heartache and mistrust that courses through the fire of an undeniable attraction. What a way to begin a series.

A Week to be Wild written by JC Harroway and published under Harlequin’s Dare a new line of romance. Will by my second title under this new line, though I liked this title better than the first title in this line. I have to say I will stop at this title. The storyline dragged, and I never really bonded with the characters. The chemistry between the two main characters I just didn’t see the attraction. Though the cover is nice to look at the story plot was subpar.

If you find the statement, “You had me at hello” to be swoon-worthy, then this book is for you.

When reading this book and I do recommend that you do make sure that you have a fan and some cooling water at the ready because it is one steamy, hot, sensual story that will have you turning the pages to find out how Libby and Alex journey to their HEA.

Libby Noble runs a marketing business in New York she has worked hard to get where she is today and has been hurt by love and men who tend to live in the exciting fast lane, so it is work and work only for Libby, but when she is invited to London to do a talk she meets a man who is about to change her life actually bring her back to life, but it has to be on her terms she will make the rules this time and what rules they are they knock him for a six.

Alex Lancaster is a billionaire he lives in the fast lane and is starting a charity that means a lot to him after losing someone he loved and cared for, the reason he asked Libby to talk at the launch. Oh but when he meets gorgeous Libby is testosterone hits max limits and he is drawn to her like no other woman before and he wants her and agrees to her terms which leaves him panting.

This one is hot and steamy, but so lovely Alex and Libby are made for each other in my opinion they are both gorgeous, loving and caring people and the emotions they open up in each other will have you sighing, I really enjoyed this one and if you like sexy, erotic stories than this one is for you. Thank you MS Harroway for a fabulous story

A Week to Be Wild is not one I can recommend. I was looking for a short read and found J.C. Harroway's new book. The story line is not one that engaged my attention and the plot doesn't move along at the speed I was looking for in this book.

Libby is a successful woman who is hired by Alex for an ad campaign for his charity. Libby isn't interested in the account since it's in Europe and she lives in the US, but Alex talks her into staying for one week to work her magic on the project. While Libby works her marketing magic, Alex works his magic in a sexy steamy way. Even though this was not my favorite book I did care to see how it ended, so I skipped ahead to see what happened with Alex and Libby.

Honestly, I was excited about this book. I'm liking the Harlequin DARE books. Super sexy, Kindle melting, goodness. Not so this book. In fact, I got so turned off it, I didn't even get to the sexy parts and that's just a darned shame. I blame the heroine, Libby. Or Olivia, as the luscious hero, Alex calls her. Why didn't I like her? I hear you ask. Let me tell you. She's attracted to Alex. It's lust at first sight. I have not problem with that. But Libby does. She doesn't want to be attracted to him. And she has decided she doesn't like him for his reputation and his success because of her attraction because dammit, she doesn't want to be attracted to this super hot billionaire. And Alex wants to hire Libby to run the marketing campaign for a charity he's deeply invested in. It's a good business decision. It would put Libby's business on the map. It's an extremely high profile, lucrative deal. But you know what? Because Libby is attracted to the man, she can't put her hormones aside and do what's right for her business and take the job. To me, that's the height of stupidity. No savvy business person would throw away a good business deal for that reason. She'd put her hormones on pause for a little while to negotiate the deal and do what's best for the business, especially someone like Libby who apparently cares for her business, is ambitious and wants it to grow, and even went to the UK in order to drum up new business for her company. Did I mention it's the height of stupidity?

“‘Although my personal client workload at present has me a little over-committed.’ What was she saying? This was a dream scenario for her small but growing business. Was she palming off an account of this magnitude on to one of her juniors? Seriously? All because he was twice as hot in person, made her thighs tremble and soaked her expensive lingerie—her one indulgence.”

“He brought something out in her—some perverse streak of her personality that revelled in denying his wishes. A battle of wills? Not very mature of her and bad for business.”

And then listening to pages and pages of Libby turning Alex down over and over again simply annoyed the living heck out of me. I really wanted to get to the sexy parts and hopefully have most of Libby's stupidity behind me, but unfortunately, I couldn't. Especially considering, I spent twenty plus years of my professional life working in a business environment and I know how ridiculous and detrimental an attitude like Libby's is. I'm sorry, but this particular DARE book is not for me. I'm sure others would be able to enjoy it if they are not as affected by Libby's attitude as I am.

Alex and Libby have great chemistry but I expected more from this book for this line. I don't know what it was but it felt forced to me. I think it may have been just me expecting to much from this book.

Hmmm...This was good. I was a quick read, I think I read it in like a week. I just felt like there was something missing. It was so close...just something was a miss, but I don't know what.
What I loved: I can't say that I really LOVED anything about it.
What I liked: I liked that Libby/Olivia was successful in her own right. She was a powerful woman on her own.
What I hated: Libby would have used the word motorcycle not motorbike. She was from New York, yet her wording wasn't very accurate sometimes. It was a small thing, but it grated on my nerves.
3.5 actual stars.

I liked this Harlequin story. But then again, I like ALL Harlequin stories! It is kind of similar to liking all Hallmark Channel movies. It is a given fact, that I will like them! And now Harlequin has a new Dare line of books ! I am so excited!!

Alex & Libby are a hot couple who are British and America, What is not to love there??? It is like the Prince and his future wife! Love it!

I would give this 3 1/2 stars. This is a new author for me and I liked this book. It was a quick read with a good storyline with some steamy sexy times thrown in. Alex & Libby are both very likable and the story is actually believable that they could have the feelings they develop for each other in one short but sexy week. Alex is a successful British businessman living in London & Libby is from the US. She goes to London to make a pitch to him because she owns a small marketing company. They clearly have an abundance of chemistry but they don’t instantly jump into bed. I liked the story itself and how they clearly mean more to each other than a quick and sexy romp. The long distance will be an issue though, or will it?

I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Another scorching read from the Harlequin Dare Line!

A Week to Be Wild follows the story of Libby and Alex. Now, I'll be totally honest with you, this story took me a little while to get in to, but once I got in to it, I couldn't put it down. I wanted to see how Alex and Libby's story would play out. I really enjoyed the push and pull between the two of them. The sparks between were instant and explosive, so it was fun to watch Libby come to terms with her attraction to Alex. She wanted desperately to keep things professional between the two of them, but sparks this hot just could not be ignored...

So, my overall thoughts on this one...It was a quick and easy read just like the other books in the Dare Line. I loved the sexy and steamy moments. I thought the overall plot had great potential, I just thought the pacing was a bit off. This is my first book by this author and I would definitely be into to checking out more.

I was really excited to start reading the new Harlequin Dare line of books and as I started reading this story, I realized I had read it before. I must have received a copy through some other reader group. It was probably a pretty early ARC so that I hadn’t seen a cover reveal yet. This cover is pretty hot! I’d say that it goes along perfectly with the new Dare line.

Overall, it’s a pretty quick read, but if you are looking for a quick romance with an erotic edge, this book might be for you. I had expected that newer stories would be a bit more erotic/explicit, not crossing over into anything taboo...but just a bit more risque. This book definitely dials up the heat a bit, but there is still some mystery and you are trying to figure out more about the characters backgrounds. I’d still put it in the contemporary romance category.

The main characters are Libby and Alex Lancaster, who is a sexy, single, British billionaire. He is clearly successful and usually gets what he wants, and his pursuit of Libby is no exception. Libby is a small business owner who is really good at marketing. She goes to London to present and Alex has definitely noticed her. He wants to hire Libby for some work, but she doesn’t really understand why he would ask her, so she keeps turning him down. Partly because she is totally attracted to him and cannot imagine a strictly professional relationship...the story is gets pretty good as Alex puts some effort into pursuing Libby ;) Their chemistry is definitely explosive and they grow to mean a lot to each other in just a short week. Libby is convinced this is all going to be over because she lives in the US and Alex lives in England, so she is still a bit hesitant, although she does decide to enjoy her week with Alex.

This book is a great choice when you know you are in the mood for a HEA and some steamy sex scenes. The cover is sexy and I think it does a good job reflecting the tone of the story.

This book started off a little sluggish and I’m not sure why. Perhaps the plot wasn’t thought through, or maybe the editing was not done at the beginning. It was hard to connect with the characters, especially Olivia. I did like the premise yet was hoping for a little more storyline. I was happy to see Libby take the leap and become the person she was before tragedy hit her life, thanks to Alex.

This book improved as I read it. At the start, I was very confused by both Alex and Libby. I didn't get why she was playing games. I didn't understand why he cared about her and the charity. It's because those parts of the plot are not revealed until about halfway through the book. I think it might have worked better if some of those backstories were revealed at least partially, earlier on in the storyline. In both cases, they provide important context for who Alex and Libby are as people.

The story also started out in a strange place, at least for me. We're in the Shard, and she's presenting to the audience. By why? Who? Maybe for some people also where? It's good to start in the middle of a scene and not with backstory but this felt a bit like a plunge that was disorienting. It would have helped me to have a little more backstory, particularly Olivia's woven into the reason that she's there. The Professor, who I struggled with as a character, turns out to be completely irrelevant to the rest of the book, but he confused me and that disorientation took a while to recover from.

The book does some hot and sexy scenes. Living up to the series theme in that regard.
