I'm pretty picky with my holiday novels because I only read them for a short period of the year. This one was just a bit melodramatic for me, and I did not like the paranormal elements. It's not at all what I look for in a festive story.

Woohoo!!! Heather Graham books and series are awesome! This book is all me and my friends can talk about! Great for book club

Unfortunately this book was archived before I could read it.

A Season of Miracles by Heather Graham was one of those books that I just had to know how it was going to end. There are two stories; one from the 17th century and one from current. She is of society and secretly marries Michael who is the head of her father’s army. She refuses to marry Sir Walter who ends up having her burned at the stake. Michael does not get there in time to save her and has to see her burning.
The current story is of Jillian who is an heir in the powerful New York family who runs Llewellyn Enterprises. She is a jewelry designer. I liked how they used her in the advertisements with Robert.
Her grandfather Douglas brings in Robert after seeing him in a dream and sensing that Jillian is in danger.
The story has a little paranormal, mystery and romance all rolled into one enjoyable read.
Although personally I am not a fan of tarot card reading; it worked well in this story to reveal bits of the mystery.
a few non-explicit, non-descriptive sex scenes
violence: the opening scene was of someone burning at the stake but not a lot of description to make it too gory,

Short and sweet. A reissue of an older book. Enjoyed the reincarnation and the history. Good read.

2.75 star
So a Season of Miracles was not so miraculous for me.
This story of reincarnation of lost loves seemed intriguing but it really failed to wow me. I found that I just didn't care about the characters, the story or their love. Not even a ghost giving advice could save this one. There is a back story which I wished I had more of and then there is the current day story. In the current day story, a widowed Jewelry designer Jillian Llewellyn, is drawn to a handsome stranger, Robert Marston, the new silent partner at her family's business, Llewellyn Enterprises. To add into the mix someone is trying to murder Jillian. Why? Also, some of the attempts are just plain over the top.
I enjoy a good romance, but I really didn't feel the chemistry. Didn't recall care for Jillian's dead husband giving her new beau advice and wanted to scream at her "When you are in a burning building, save YOURSELF." geez.
Just didn't connect with this story or the characters. I KNOW that Heather Graham has written MUCH better than this.
I received a copy of this book from Harlequin and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

A SEASON OF MIRACLES is an interesting, fun (thanks for a cousin who is a cut-up) mysterious read that has a helpful ghost with touches of a past history. Jillian and Robert's relationship moves quickly, which is a bit surprising considering neither was particularly looking for one. They do have a past history but you have to read the book to find out what happened there. The family dynamic is a bit quirky and the romantic side of the storyline is not always smooth and, of course, there is a killer on the loose. This person comes out of left field, which is where a number of author Heather Graham's villains come from, so you would think I would have expected it. Alas, I was surprised by the twist.
I am not sure I would truly term this as a holiday tale, but if you want to read about a couple who have a tragic past, family members that just might not be what they seem and a killer with an agenda then get your hands on A SEASON OF MIRACLES.

This is a re-release from 2002 under Shannon Drake. I enjoyed this story but you can tell this was the earlier days of Drake/Graham.
I enjoyed the story for the most part. It is a bit different which is what kept me reading it but it was also a bit slow. The middle was what kept my interest. The beginning was slow but I gave it the time it needed. But the end was abrupt. It needed maybe one more chapter but it felt pushed together to hurry the end.
This will not be a story I recommend but it wasn’t a bad read either.

I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book. A Timeless Love, reincarnation, and a ghost. What else do you need. I really liked all of the characters and the close family ties in this book

This is Heather Graham at her finest. Wonderful plot, great characters. My kind of book. I would highly recommend it.

I read this via NetGalley for a re-release of the novel.
A Season of Miracles follows Jillian Llewellyn, a widowed jewelry designer, as she begins to have strange, but very realistic nightmares. The reader soon finds out that Jillian is remembering a past life, where she once was murdered by being burned at the stake. Her true love had been too late to rescue her from her fate. Now, a new employee at Llewellyn Enterprises, named Robert Marston, has arrived, once he meets Jillian - an instant spark occurs. Dangerous and life-threatening things begin happening to Jillian and Robert is determined to protect Jillian at any cost. They soon realize they are reincarnated souls who were once deeply in love until her death at the hands of another. Robert refuses to let history repeat itself. Who is trying to harm Jillian and why? Could this person be someone in her very own family? Will history repeat itself?
This book was very different from my usual romance reads. I enjoyed it overall, but was left with a sense of being unfulfilled, as the story abruptly ended. The beginning was a little slow as there were a lot of details to cover. The details were covered well, but the ending felt completely rushed. Before I knew it, the story had just ended. It was a lot of build up for very little payout. I wanted more from the ending. I'm left unsure whether or not to recommend this book, while I enjoyed the plot, the ending was just so fast.

Every once in awhile I come across a book that so captures my imagination I lose track of where I am or how much time has passed while reading it. A Season of Miracles was one of those stories. The story concept was intriguing, one that I have read before that I loved. Heather Graham really delivered. Yes, I loved the story. Even more than loving it though it was well crafted and the characters were so well described they came to life in the book. I cannot wait to recommend this to every reader I know.

I received this ARC copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. So thank you netgalley and publishers.
Let me start off by saying That I absolutely LOVE Heather Graham ♡ She is one of those authors that it doesn't matter what the book is about, if you see her name you have to buy it ♡ My first book from her was " the presence " and I've loved her writing ever since and have now read a TON OF her books ♡♡♡ If I was an author I would write books like her! My favorite genre for sure!! Okay, now on to the actual review lol
This is a story is about a woman in the 17th century that is burned at the stake for witchcraft and treason. She refuses to marry Sir Walter, she has already been secretly married to her fathers main man in his army, Michael. Michael couldn't make it to her in time and had to watch her burn to her death. :'( Now back to modern times, The main character is Jillian, she keeps having nightmares of fire. She is the granddaughter of the empire magnet of Llewelyn Enterprises. Her grandfather is in fear of her safety and hires Robert Marston to watch over and protect her. Under the pretense of a silent partner. She finds herself falling for him but also is fearful of him. Robert is being visited by Jillian's late husband Milo, who is trying to help him. Now as ghosts from the past come together, strange accidents are occurring, and Robert must find out and stop the person/s who are a threat to Jillian. This all set in a beautiful Connecticut Christmas setting. The story is filled with twists and turns. It's a page turner for sure!
Fun fact! This book was originally published on my 12th birthday! I am now 27 :)
