This manga was just absolutely precious! I enjoyed the previous Disney Fairies Manga, Vidia and the Fairy Crown, but in my opinion, The Petite Fairy's Diary is far superior. Despite being set up like a series of unrelated chapters, there is actually something of a story with a linear progression. The art is gorgeous and very easy to follow, which is essential for an all-ages comic. I have a copy of this in my library already and plan to book talk it at the elementary schools. I would suggest this for any library in which manga or Disney is popular.

I think this is perfect for the Tinkerbell fan in your life. I'd definitely buy it for my nieces just for fun. The art is cute and the story is fun and cute.

This manga is so ridiculously cute! I loved Jun's artwork and the story line was excellent. Petite has many great friends and her best friend is always supporting her and cheering her up when she's down. I recommend this for ages 6 and up. 5 Stars!

As always, the stories are fun and draw you right in, the characters feel very individualized, and the pictures are great quality.

In one story, however, Petite (didn't really stretch too much to think that one up) is clumsy because of her tiny size. Isn't it usually big people/animals with the reputation for clumsiness? Since when are tiny people clumsy? But wait. In another story, an oversized cat is clumsy, also because of his size. So there's a bit of a mixed message there. But hey, it's manga, I guess, not War and Peace.

I love Disney, manga, and fairies, so the new Disney Fairies Manga series is definitely right up my alley. Though I wasn't crazy about Vidia and the Fairy Crown, I saw that this upcoming edition to the series had a different author/artist so I decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did, as I liked this one better!

The characters are really cute, and so is the story. It's a feel-good type plot that goes to show that even if you're different, you're fine just the way you are, and in some ways, even better! I think that's a lesson that we all need to hear every once in a while.

I liked the artwork better as well. I found it more detailed, and it went very well with the words on the page.

I think this is a good book for pre-teens/kids who are just starting to get into graphic novels or manga, though if you're older than that you can still certainly enjoy this book.

I received a copy in exchange for my honest review.

This manga volume is all about Petite and her life in Neverland. She is known as the smallest, clumsiest fairy in Pixie Hollow and is often made fun of. You would think that would get her down, and it does occasionally, but she is determined, to present her talent to Queen Clarion at the Moon Banquet.

It's interesting to see what lengths Petite will go to fit in with the other fairies and we learn that Petite and the cat have a common bond.

I appreciate the noted change in Neverland when empathetic and compassionate roles are displayed. And, I'm glad a place like Pixie Hollow has a character like Petite. She teaches us even when things don't always go like we think they should, we need to keep on trying.

I've been a fascinated with Diamond Books' cover artworks since I chanced upon copies of the Grimm Fairy Tales of Zenescope. The Grimm books portrayed women as bad ass characters which were beautifully drawn (although still rather too scantily dressed for me), and they Manga versions were just so cute and appealing, I didn't want to request any more books since my Netgalley stash has been piling up and never getting any smaller no matter how many times I said I'll trim it down, but I just couldn't pass up this book.

I love the Disney Fairies, and I was one of those sad grown-ups who wished they didn't stop producing the Tinkerbell movies. Anyway, I was glad to be introduced to Petite, since I do believe that Pixie Hollow is a vast world that could open up to so many different stories with an even more diverse set of characters' points-of-view whom the stories can be told through. And Petite's was definitely one worth reading.

I love how it show that no matter how insignificant you think you might be, people who love and care about you will show you otherwise. And that no matter how many times you fail, what matters most is that you try again. This is definitely something I'd like my daughter to read when she's of the right age. She's two at the moment so I have to wait for her to get a little older (and learn how to read) before I share this story with her.

This edition, given to me from Netgalley, is unfortunately not readable due to the watermark on the pages.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review!

I loved Vidia and the Fairy Crown, so when I spotted this one on Netgalley, well gee, I had to just request it. Well, after making absolutely sure there is no Tinker Hell in this one or at least not too much as the main character. It didn't seem she would be in here much (although she, like the Vidia book, is on the cover).

This volume is all about Petite and her life on Never Land. As her name already implies she is tiny. Tinier than most fairies even! And a whole lot more clumsier. Dear heavens, this girl gets in all sorts of things. Going by her looks (I know, terrible) you would think she is frilly, easygoing, flighty. But she really proves you wrong. She is on a mission to find her talent, to show it at the ceremony and become a full fairy. I am cheering for this girl! If there is anyone who deserves it, it is Petite!

In the first story it is time for her to discover her talent as the Moon Banquet is coming soon (well in half a year). I loved how this girl, even when her size puts her at a disadvantage just keeps on going.
I did feel sorry for her as everyone is pretty terrible and mean about her height and how clumsy she is. Come on guys, at least she tries, you don't have to act all poopy about it. :( I would have done the same thing as her after all that. But even though her fellow fairies acted like that she still did that for them. I admire that, not many people can set aside such terrible things like that (or think those people deserve to be saved).

The second story features a cat on the loose (I do wonder where it came from). I hated how the fairies acted towards the cat, even when Petite was trying to tell them the cat was harmless. Really, guys, maybe for once you should just listen to someone instead of attacking. I get that the cat did a lot of bad things, but it wasn't as if he did that on purpose. Come on, did you guys see how big he is? Even if he just paddles through the forest he is bound to break stuff.

The third story is her finding her talent! I really loved it. It was sweet, cute, plus of course I was just delighted for Petite. She worked so hard to find it, despaired so much, but now she is rewarded with an amazing talent. I just adored how everyone loved her talent, and how eager they are to see what she will do next. Plus thanks to Petite two people got a very happy ending. :)

The fourth story is a mix of the Moon Banquet and something that happens to Dill (and what Petite will do for him). Plus CONFESSION!!! *squee* It was all a whirlwind of awesomeness, especially near the end. I was just sitting on the edge of my seating, wishing with all my might. I actually have to confess that I almost cried. It was just so sweet!

I didn't quite like how the first two stories ended. Don't get me wrong, happy endings are <3, but it just felt highly out of place in these stories. There is such a build up, no one believes Petite or people doubt her, but then suddenly they believe her? Suddenly they love her? Whut?

I was pretty amazed at Tinker Hell, she was actually friendly and polite for once. *looks around* Did she take anything? :P Really, throughout the stories she shows kindness and she wasn't whining or complaining or being a total jerk about things (like she always did to Wendy and some other fairies).

Oh, and even though I didn't always like Dill, I was shipping him with Petite like crazy. *swoons* Even though Dill is a bit of a macho man at times, he always came to Petite and helped her out. Plus they just were a perfect match.

I also liked the Introducing The Fairy Friends at the end.

The art was just as fabulous as it was in the Vidia manga, though it was a whole lot more bubbly and less yandere. I just loved how Petite was drawn. Soft, bubbly, sweet, cute. Especially during the close-ups I was squeeing as she looked so beautiful.

All in all, I would recommend this manga to everyone. It is cute, sweet, has a good message (just keep on trying, just keep on going, you will find what you are looking for), plus who can resist a manga about the fairies on Never Land?
