I’ll be honest at first the main characters got on my nerves. They constantly went back and forth between wanting each other and not. Ava Grace was a little aggressive in the beginning and it seemed a little unbelievable, her actions, but it turned out to be a really good book. Ava Grace is a country music star. Jonah is one of the owners of Trinity Bourbon. They decide to partner up, Ava Grace to be the spokeswoman for Trinity. Jonah had a rough childhood, his family owned the most popular bourbon distillery in Kentucky. It’s made him jaded toward relationships. He wants Ava Grace but no the publicity that goes with her. A love story with smoking hot sex, bourbon, and country music. A “ need a cold shower “ story. A little funny and a little sad.

I couldn't wait to read this new series. I loved the premise of the book - Two up and coming stars in their chosen career, decide to throw caution and take a chance at each other.
We're reintroduced to characters from Jenna Sutton's Riley O'Brien & co series as well as new characters.
Ava Grace is a breakout music sensation on her way up and nothing can stop her. She's smart sexy and has a big heart especially for her family. Her friends are loyal and always looking out for her. I loved that we were reacquainted with Ameila and Quinn. She's dealing with a lot in her personal life but that doesn't stop her from her lending her talents to Trinity Distillery.
Beck had a charmed life until his family and his name were tainted. Years later he has a solid core of friends whom he can trust. He's build up a tiny empire with his friends but looking for the next level of success.
When Beck and Ava Grace meet for their new venture sparks and heat fly. I loved that they were so hot for each other that they couldn't wait and gave into their wants and needs.
They didn't have an easy path and we were put on a rollercoaster of emotions. These two went back and forth with the feelings and while I didn't agree with their decisions at times I understood them.
Since this is the first in a series, we have some exciting leads on the other books in the series that I can't wait to read their story

I really enjoyed this book. If you liked Sutton's previous Riley O'Brien series you will enjoy this. Had the same feel. I've read them all and this was one of my favorites from her. The heroine from this is the best friend of a character from the previous series.
Even though the heroine was a famous singer, the author made her realistic and issues were issues we would all have while dealing with the issues that come with being a famous singer.
Was an easy enjoyable read. Finished it in about 3 nights. Had humorous elements. If you're looking a feel good, enjoyable read that is short on angst, but a good story arc this is the book for you. If you like Julie James, Sutton reminds me of her - plucky heroines and good heroes.
Very much looking forward to the next 2 books.
Received book from Net Galley.

A great start to a new series will be waiting impatiently for the next book

A big thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. First time reading this author. I really enjoyed this book. I learned a lot about bourbon, and laughed slot. I loved Ava Grace and how strong she was-being a famous singer, and daughter to someone with Alzheimer's. Such a terrible disease. I rate this a 4.5. Lots of heat. I think most romance readers would love this book. GIve it a go and let me know!! Enjoy as I certainly did.

I really enjoy this author writing. I have read the previous series and I fell hard for Ava Grace in the first book in the series. Jonah was introduced in the series as well but not like Ava Grace aka AG was. This book is where we really get to know him.
Now I want to state I enjoyed this book. The writing was great and it had a great plot and these two had great chemistry together. But while I loved AG I did not love Jonah. AG had to chase Jonah hard and I am not a fan of that in a romance. Jonah says lots of dumb tings and thru most of the book I felt he did not treat AG, as she should have.
Now not of that was abusive, but it was not loving either and I want romance in my books and that is loving. The big issue is AG is very famous. And he does not want to be in the spotlight. So while he can't resist her, he also doesn't go after what he wants either and he acts like a big jerk sometimes.
I did enjoy this story. But not like I loved the first book in the previous series, and I felt AG deserved a guy who was more all in with her than Jonah. I did love the ending and seeing them in the future.
