I received this ARC for an honest review.

Let me start by saying.....
I laughed.... I ugly cried .... I screamed at my ceiling..
I love this book it answered a lot questions I had about Caro and showed what a great character she is. Th world building was great it almost felt like you where reading three books in one . Also I very much enjoyed Elder Merrick and Sin “Yum”. But then Ms. Dawn had to go ahead drop a whole lot of new questions into the mix 😩. It roller coaster rid of emotions. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone!!! The book was funny, adventurous, and mind blowing! I Cannot wait until the next book!!!

Recommend when reading this book: A large glass of wine, comfy reading chair, soft blanket( must have), and 10 to 15 hours of none interrupted reading time( because you will not want to put this book down)

Chosen One picks up right where we left off with Caro realizing that her one nightstand was Elder Merrick and how that played out! We also get to see Caro jump back to her original timeline and repercussions of what happened. A ton of spirit questions were answered and we got to see Caro in a new light, taking on a leadership roll.

I don’t want to give too much away but Scarlett took me on a journey I was not expecting. I find that in a lot of books I can predict the ending or where the story is going and Scarlett always throws me for a loop whether I want one or not! I felt the end of this book seemed a bit abrupt; it didn’t have as big as a conclusion feel to it. There is no full resolution to the story or who Caro’s love interest is which makes me think there might be another installment but we shall see! If this book follows the Forevermore pattern, the next book should be a new character but I feel like Caro story isn’t finished. Overall, this was still a great read, Scarlett always brings you into a new world that you can’t even to begin to guess where you will end up and I always end up binge reading her books!

In exchange for my honest review, I received an ARC edition from NetGalley and Escape Publishing.

Caro has done it again and I am WITH IT! I swear I have never in my life been so in love with a set of characters. No author I read writes like Scarlett Dawn.

I get so deep into these books that I get lost in them. Housework? Um, No. Sin and I have some talking to do and that is just FAR more important.

Also,

SIN. He is hands down one of my top characters ever. AND THAT ENDING. I just don't even know what to do with myself.

I will take a glass of wine and some comfort food please because it is going to be a LONG wait for the nest book. Buuuuut, I know it will be COMPLETELY WORTH IT.

Also I should backtrack. If you are a paranormal fantasy fan you ABSOLUTELY NEED to read this series. Now. Today. you will thank me later.

Again Scarlett Dawn has written a book that is attention grabbing and demands that you stop everything else to keep reading. Caros story has been both interesting and unique and the third book in her series continues to keep us all enthralled

I received a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

Chosen one is FINALLY here! I’m so happy, when I saw that I got approved for the ARC I started to jump up and down in the sofa, you can imagine how my sister looked at me after that. But really, I was looking forward to this one since I finished the previous which was 2 days after that one came out. That cliffhanger was killing me but not anymore.

Chosen one starts right at the moment Chosen fool ended, with a big realization that who is the individual she slept with. And boy does this cause trouble and complications for little Caro. Safe to say that that the story just gets even more complex after this.
The plot predictable starts with a huge BAM! but what you need to know that Chosen one is completely different from the previous two books. As the storyline goes there are plenty of action still but the main focus still on Caro romantic life or here or there the lack of it. What I really loved in this that emotional wise it up to par with King hall, which so far none of the other books in the series could produce. First it gives you hope, then everything break apart and our heart go through an emotional mince. It hurts so good that for me simply that would have been enough to love the book. Thankfully she even ends up with the character I rooted for, maybe with not the best circumstances but in the end things go well for them.

Caro started to show her tender and vulnerable side even in Chosen fool but in this one this side of her truly shines. Sure her snarky, sarcastic and badass self also shows up when needed but it’s mostly the lonely girl who no matter what she does somehow ends up with the short end of the stick. A lot of her insecurities also come out. I liked this side of her to and what I liked even more was the graceful way she handled her hardship, of course after a short crazy binge.

As for the secondary characters, there were quite a few of them. Manly the Elders and Kings but honestly after the long time between the books it was a bit hard for me to follow who is who. But anyway I think that it’s strange how little their presence actually felt overall when they are there the whole way. Maybe because there are too much of them at once. Also the current kings and queens and even the prodigies are not as important, they kinda pushed into the background and I missed them a bit. With the current prodigies there isn’t the kind of dynamism that I loved in King hall, but since Caro story has a different focus maybe its better this way.

Not to mention finally we get a full insight into the secrets and lives of the elusive spirit elementals. So far in the previous books we only got little snippets here and there but Chosen one gives a full disclosure and it really great to finally get to know what Caro role is in reality, what hare her powers.

I freaking loved this book there are so many in your face surprises and 180° turns that it gives a phenomenal flow to the plot. You definitely won’t be bored even for a minute. The only thing that I didn’t quite understood the meaning, the significance behind the final chapter. Or at least I hope I misunderstood it because I don’t want it to go down that particular path.

Chosen One by Scarlett Dawn is the 6th installment in her massive series Forever Evermore and the third for her heroine Caro. This book was lukewarm for me. There were parts I loved, parts I disliked, and parts that were just “meh.” I wanted to love this book because I really like Caro, but there were some issues that I just couldn’t overcome.

The Likes:
➣ Caro! I really enjoy this character. She is one of those that just faces the world and what it brings her head on and doesn’t care what others might think about her. She’s feisty, courageous, and loyal. Seriously I root for her all the way through the book.
➣ Time travel: if you read the last book then you know that we were left with a major cliffhanger and Caro forty years in the past. Personally I loved this development. I haven’t read the first trilogy in this series so I don’t really know the elders that are fleshed out in this book, but I loved seeing more of them, getting to know them better, AND then going back and rereading parts of Caro’s books when they were “first” introduced. So much makes sense now!
➣ Merrick….I won’t say anymore than that because of spoilers….but y’all *swoon*
➣ Cast of characters keeps growing and I’m not confused! I love this. Whenever there are a ton of characters, I usually need a glossary to refer back to in order to keep them all straight. However Scarlett Dawn has done a fantastic job of making each character unique enough that I don’t need it.

The Dislikes:
➣ The pacing: at times, the pacing for this book was fast, like I couldn’t set it down or turn the pages fast enough for my own liking…that fast. But then about the midway point the pacing went from blazing to ice cold. I’m not sure what happened, but it was like all of a sudden it was almost – dare I say it – boring *cringes* I’m not sure what to think about it. Then probably the last 50 pages the pace picked back up.
➣ The love interest or interests? I’m not sure. I didn’t really follow well what was going on. It felt like the author was possibly setting up a reverse harem type situation for our Caro and I’m not so sure that follows with her character. Maybe it’s just me, but Caro doesn’t seem like the type to be into more than one and she sure doesn’t like to share so….I’m just confused. The main love interest was a hate-to-love type thing and while it worked in the beginning of the book, it got real old REAL quick.
➣ Plot? Ummmm….y’all I can’t even tell you what this book is about because I don’t know myself. While I love Caro, her story so far has lacked direction. I’m not really sure what’s going on, what she is trying to accomplish, or why she is doing what she is doing. I’m lost. I noticed this in the last book and had hoped that this one would begin tying some threads together. So far no such luck.

Overall Chosen One was just an okay read for me. I’m interested enough in Caro to continue reading the series but I’m also disappointed that I’m still so lost in her story. I wanted….no NEEDED her story to begin making sense by now. Despite this I will continue to read and follow the author as I do love her storytelling ability. I have confidence that in Caro’s last book (which I believe the next one is) all these loose ends and directionless plot will make sense because Dawn is that good! If you enjoy the series, you don’t want to miss this next installment! If you haven’t read the series, than I highly suggest you begin with the first book and set some time aside to binge.

I have been waiting with bated breath for this final installment in Caro's story (you will need to have read Chosen Thief and Chosen Fool for this installment to make any sense).

Chosen One continues right where Fool ended, and it is one bumpy ride from that time on!

I liked Caro back in the past, chumming it up with the Prodigies (soon to be kings) and Elders from earlier books in the series. Oh my goodness was it great to see them. And their present day reactions to first meeting her make a lot of sense now.

Caro has been kind of in limbo in this series with who will be her love interest. You'll like it when you find out who they are - or are they really the one for her?

I won't lie though, I did have some issues with this story. I found it floundering about 3/4 of the way through, and felt it needed a push to get it back going again. I did end up skimming/skipping a lot from there one, as it felt like it was just spinning its wheels and going nowhere. I felt myself disconnecting from the story and just wanting to get to the end - this could just be me though.

Don't get me wrong, the story is good, I just felt that maybe it wasn't really the end, the closure of Caro's story like it could have been, if you get my drift.

Whilst this installment did fall a little flat to me compared to the previous books in this series, I know that there is so much more for Ms Dawn to give us.

Can't wait to see what she brings us next.

I was given the opportunity to read and review this ARC in exchange for my honest review, thank you to Escape Publishing and Netgalley.com.
I am a long time fan of Scarlett Dawn, primarily this series, Forever Evermore. Her fantastical writing, amazing sense of humor, and ability to create real, credible characters make them my go-to books when suggesting books for readers.
In Chosen One, we pick up exactly where Chosen Fool left off, with Caro discovering that her oh-so-hot evening has been spent with a sexy shifter that is a little too familiar, instead of the stranger elemental she expected. As things heat up, Caro finds herself with choices that are very unexpected, and hard to reconcile. The One, Leric, gives her some mind-blowing information that changes everything, and leads Caro and her band of protectors to the Temple. Focusing mainly on Caro's band of merry men and their interactions, you won't see much of the other current day Prodigies, or those of the first three books, with the exception of Ezra. (THANK YOU!!)

My problems with the book are as follows:
This particular book though is suffering from a lack of good editing and lack of direction. Incorrect wording choices, multiple typos, and run-on sentences galore, it seems that not much attention was given to detail. As for the lack of direction, this book feels more like an extremely long prelude, than the third in a series. With a lack of Scarlett Dawn's trademark banter, action and an overindulgence of hate sex, this feels... formulated.
It distresses me to have to say that given that I am such a diehard fan of the King books that started this incredible world.
I, personally, would like to see this book revamped, because I believe the story is there, but this was not the telling of it that was needed to meet the standards of the previous books.

I had to read this book over 3 times before I could put it down long enough to write this review. It was so good! I feel like with each book in the series I find all these hidden things from previous books and it makes each re-read that much better. The characters are all so relatable and realistic that they start to feel like real friends. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

I was thrilled to receive an ARC of this book as the Forever Evermore series is one of my absolute favorites. I read it in a few hours, and then again more slowly because I wasn't ready to be done. Chosen One just might be my favorite from the whole series and is definitely my favorite of Caro's books.

The story picks up right where we were left hanging in Chosen Fool and never lets up from there. It's filled with everything that I've always loved about Scarlett Dawn's writing: action, humor, a huge cast of interesting characters, romance, and a badass heroine.

I loved every moment of this book, especially learning more about the Spirit Elementals. But my favorite part had to be Cain and Caro. I couldn't stop grinning whenever those two had a scene together. It was seriously a dream come true.

There is another abrupt ending, and it's made me even more eager for the next book. I'm excited to see what Scarlett Dawn has in store for Caro next.

It’s all about Caro, her past, her present and what a difference forty years can make. Can you imagine being sent back in time, having those memories as if they just happened yesterday and then being thrust back to the future (or present), your emotions still raw, and your memories still fresh while everyone else has moved on?

Get ready to witness love, hate, passions on fire, revelations, compromises, and secrets revealed. This time out, Scarlett Dawn gives us character interaction, character reaction and, oh, the conflict as Caro steps up the plate and shows her chops, gains allies, crosses lines and has some people practically eating right out of her hands.

Yeah, yeah, we were left hanging by a thread previously, but Scarlett Dawn more than made up for it with her inside scoop on some deep, deep Spirit Elemental secrets. Elders and Kings will vie to stand by Caro’s side for a chance to follow her into her world. Learn WHAT the CHOSEN ONE is and pay close attention, because like Caro, there is more to this than meets the eye!

Let’s see, attitude, charm, snark, humor, confusion, and heat all tangled up in Scarlett Dawn’s special blend of awesome that shows up on each and every page, each and every character and each and every interaction that can sometimes be over-the-top! Through it all, emerging like a star, is Caro, bigger, bolder, wiser and ready to be all that she was meant to be…and yes, there are new questions to ponder until next time! It felt good to slow down the action and turn up the info, especially on some eyebrow-raising events!

I waited forever for this book to be written. I love this world and its characters more than almost any other. We pick up Caro’s story (note, this is not a standalone novel, you must read ALL of the Forever Evermore series – trust me, you want to anyway) right where it left off after Chosen Thief. I hate to give anything away so let me just say that this is Caro at her finest – cussing, sex, magic – it is all there! But be warned, the ending of the book will leave you desperate for more.

After waiting what seemed like a lifetime I finally got my hands on Chosen One!
I can honestly say it was certainly worth the wait. After being taunted and teased by Scarlett Dawn over Caro's relationships and life, it was nice to be able to see what's in stall for her and compare my theories with what actually takes place in the book.

Thank you very much to the Escape Publishing and NetGalley for letting me get an ARC of Chosen One exchange for an honest review. #ChosenOne #NetGalley

I have been waiting for this book for a very long time. I was reading the previous books again and again, I was repeating the scenes in my head over and over and then, I was so lucky to read Chosen One... And I am speechless... Everytime I think that this series cannot go better, it goes better and better! This story absolutely was a master piece!

We continue from where we left off in Chosen Fool. Caro wakes up from his *steamy* night and finds herself in a bed with a *very* familiar face (wink, wink). We finally see what really had happened in 40 year ago. And when Caro goes back to her time, emotions are everywhere! The chemistry between the characters are so captivating. I just love the way how Scarlett writes romance in her stories. She writes the best kind of romance: passionate, heartbreaking, breathtaking and natural.

We learn more about spirit elementals and lots of questions are answered whereas the new ones are born. The thing that I found fascinating about this book (other that Elder Merrick LOL) was Caro's character development. We can witness how she gets stronger both physically and emotionally. Well done Scarlett, well done!

This book was stormy. This book was emotional. This book was funny. This book was... good. You will love this book. Even though you don't, I can guarantee you that you will love to hate this book (wink, wink)!

This book will feed the hunger of all Forever Evermore fans and will answer the cliffhanger from the last book. You will not be disappointed, or in my case I was not disappointed on how Scarlett Dawn spun the life of Caro from unwanted to the most wanted (but in a very good and sexy way). You will experience a lot of "Aha!" moments that had puzzled you from Chosen Fool. And for once in your Com life you will thank Philip Masterson for his last devious deed because it led to funny, heart warming and of course life changing moments in Caro's and Cain's life. Who's Cain? You better read it to find out.
Scarlett did not disappoint in this book. Read it and love it, just like I did.

Title: Chosen One
Author: Scarlett Dawn
**RECEIVED ARC FOR HONEST REVIEW **

First let me say I have loved this series since the word go. Patiently waiting for each book to be released. When Caro became the primary heroine I adored her just as much as Queen Ruckler and Queen Cooper. I patiently wait for each book, each slice of Caro's story is published. That being said, I have to ask, you ended the book right there? Right when it finally heats up? The story is finally moving and... all stop. How annoying.

Okay, let's talk technical turkey. The editing is horrible. It is so bad it takes away from the story. For the longest time I thought I would read sentences and I was skipping ahead and that was why it appeared the sentences were not finished. As I continued to read I realised sentences were not finished. Or they had one word too many. The formatting normally isn't a big deal but when a paragraph breaks and spaces down like two or three lines for no reason, that is odd. Especially when it does this throughout the whole book.

Now, to the story. I had to go back and do a quick re-read of previous books because I had forgotten so many details about Caro. One thing Scarlett Dawn is great at is giving details and usually you don't feel bogged down. Dawn generally is able to weave a story and create a world full of life and color without slowing the book down. This is great in terms of character development because we get to watch the characters grow and transform into the beings they are meant to be for good or bad.

In Chosen One we continue to follow Caro who is in the past. Previously we found that she had been mind raped by the fake One. In this book we follow her through time and through life altering choices. Being a Spirit Elemental (FYI by this point y'all need to be familiar with the series) we find Caro has a choice where other Mystical beings do not. Not to give spoilers but it primarily centers on her love life.

As I have said, I love the series and this authors work. Not this book so much. It was slow. It spent more time just talking than anything. Hardly any action and really no plot at all. I hate giving spoilers but I am going to anyway. Caro ends up at the Spirit Temple with three men vying for her attention. Can you guess? If you have been reading the books, as you should have, first guess doesn't count.

Anyway, this whole book is blah blah blah, sex, a little action but not necessarily plot related, blah blah blah... rinse and repeat. Then the end, hello. Some serious alpha posturing and not by The One. Still no real serious plot but it was interesting. Oh, and Caro is getting annoying. Someone smack her. She whines too much and doesn't own up to her mistakes. She wants her cake and eat it too. she acts as if she gives a little she deserves the world. She has a martyr complex.

So, not my favorite book in this series but I will continue to follow the series and this author. I really do usually love her work. She writes strong female leads who need strong men by their side.

I was given an early copy.
This was most anticipated release for the year and my absolute favorite book series. I love everything written by SD. We learned a lot more about spirits in this book; I really want to see where Caro and Lerics connection leads. I love Cain and Caro together so much. I don't know how I feel about her with Sin. Caro grew a lot in this one, she's really coming into herself and I can not wait until everything comes full circle in the next one. All in all this was a 5 star read for me and I will be rereading like right now.

It's funny that this book starts with the word, "I squealed..." because that is exactly what I was doing when I opened it! There are very few authors that get it right EVERY TIME, and Scarlett Dawn is definitely one of them. This 6th installment of the Forever Evermore series is everything I hope it would be and more. Caro is such a great character that I think I want to be her. I'm a little disappointed that we didn't get more of the female characters I've grown to love (Lilly, Isa, Aria, Brenna, Pearl, you get the idea) but I'll live. I can't wait for the next installment(please don't make us wait that long again)

I received this ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I'm a long standing fan of this author and it was incredible to read in advance Chosen One, because we were waiting for it for a long time. I literally devoured it!
What can I say... Caro has an interesting love life. This side of her has never appealed to me. With this book, I finally understood the profound hate Scarlett Dawn has for destined mates... and soul mates in general... yes Caro found hers in this book, but it's not a happy ending. Keep reading!!!
Here we also understood the previous and current titles of this series... I was under the impression it was a trilogy, so I was a bit put off by the cliffhanger, in particular a it was a romantic/emotional one, but no, there's another Caro - book in the future for us. Love the Leric-Cain-Sin love triangle... uhm... love square...
4.5 stars
PS OMG too many characters... too many elders to remember..

OMG. This book. It’s captivating. Amazing. Perfect continuation of Caro’s story. I absolutely adore her! She’s a character you don’t want to cross.

I think it’s funny some of these men think they can cross her. She might be young in comparison to others but she’s dang smart.

Gah. I read this book in less than 6 hours total. It’s long but freakin amazing. I just can’t tell you that enough. Love love love this series and Scarlett Dawn has created this paranormal world so well.

If you’ve not started the Forever Evermore series yet. You should get started.

Now when does the next one come out?!?
