This has to be one of my favorite Melissa Foster books ever!
Single mom and widow Bridgette is not really looking for a man, until her new temporary neighbor, Bohdi catches her eye and lot more in Only For You.

This was a rocky romance for man characters Bohdi and Bridgette. Their love story was sad and real as well as sweet and heart warming. I loved every second of this book. It was all the feels and more! Both because Bridgette and Bohdi has sad back stories and because it helped define their relationship. I loved this book so much!

Only for You is an adorable read with great characters and a wonderful small-town feel.

Bridgette Dalton is an independent woman, single-mother, and business owner. She's very busy and doesn't think twice about a guy, until her neighbor, Bodhi Booker, moves in. Just looking at him awakens parts of her that haven't felt anything for years.

Bodhi Booker is a private and protective person who works a dangerous job. Bodhi is very cautious about getting into relationships because he never knows when he'll get called into a mission or if he'll make it back alive. At first, Bodhi doesn't seem like an approachable guy. The more time he spends with Bridgette or her son, the more his softer side shows.

My favorite parts of this story involve Bodhi interacting with Bridgette's son. He's so good with kids and patient. He has a fatherly touch to him. Bodhi is always willing to put Bridgette's son first and spend time with him. Those moments melted my heart. If only more guys were like Bodhi...

I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

This was my second Melissa Foster book, the first being The Real Thing which is the first book in this series. I enjoyed this one just as I did with the first.

I really love the Dalton family and the bond they all have, and I was curious as to if something would happen with Bridgette and Bohdi after his brief appearance in book 1.

The story is a little unusual from others in terms of the couple actually agreeing that their relationship is just a “here and now” thing and has an end date. I totally understand the reasoning behind it though, and the story brings to light the risks that many men and women around the world take when they have jobs like Bohdi’s or in any kind of field like it.

Also the fact that Bridgette has already lost her husband a few years ago, and the book has an undertone of serious and heavy loss. But that being said, it doesn’t mean the book is a sad or emotionally heavy book. Its a fun book about living in the moment and embracing the way you feel and the moments right in front of you.

Bohdi is a really great character once you get to know him and see deep inside his true personality. He’s very easy to like. Bridgette is also a great mother and has a strong personality. And we can’t forget Louie, her adorable little boy. He’s very easy to love.

I also liked the fact that there is no real angst in this. Things move along well when you get to that point which was great. Of course we get lots of Bridgettes family in the book and I’m hoping that book 3 is about her brother Ben. There’s a couple of ways his book could go, so my interest is definitely piqued.

Overall, enjoyed this and would recommend.

You know a book is good when you don’t want it to finish and that’s exactly how I felt about Only You, this is book two in the Sugar Lake Series and it’s Bodhi Booker and Bridget Dalton’s story and what a great story it is.
Bodhi is in Sweetwater fixing up a house he purchased for his mum, he will only be in town for a few weeks and the last thing on his mind is a relationship in fact he doesn’t do relationships so why does the single mother living next door make his insides twist and turn.....
Bridget is a young widow trying to get her life back together with the help of her family and friends in Sweetwater and the last thing she expects is to get feelings for the sexy guy working next door.
This is a beautifully written love story with characters that are easy to connect and fall in love with especially when you see how Bodhi interacts with Bridget’s amazing little boy. Melissa Foster has a way with words and she makes you feel like her characters are your friends as you get to know them through her descriptions of people and places, can’t wait for book 3 in the series.

Okay, so Melissa Foster has always come thru for me. This story was no exception.

This story was gloriously sweet! I wanted to come up with a more eloquent word, but I kept coming back to sweet. I just smiled a heck of a lot when I read it and my heart was happy all the way thru. The relationship between Bodhi & Bridgette was very relatable and I connected very easily with them both! Bodhi's connection and interaction with Louie warmed my heart to no end. This story was the total package you guys! It had heart and warmth and growth and friendship and family and love ... so much love! I cannot sing this woman's praises enough!

Bridgette is a hard working single mother who is doing the best that she can. The last thing she needs is for the the hot new neighbor Bodhi to be distracting her. Bodhi knows his time is limited in his mothers new home while renovating before he is called back to duty as a Special Operative. Both Bridgette and Bodhi have an an undeniable attraction and they have to make it clear that he will be leaving soon so what they will have will be no sting attached because he'll be leaving soon, if only it was that easy to keep their hearts out of the equation.

I enjoyed this book it was both heartwarming and pretty hott. I loving seeing that attraction and relationship between Bodhi and Bridgette. I loved the interaction with Dahlia and Bridgettes son was thrown into the mix, and that they didn't fade into the background. I loved getting to know the main character backgrounds and POV throughout the story. I thought it was interesting seeing how they were working things out knowing they had a limited amount of time together and learning to appreciate the little things because there's a chance when he goes back to his job there might be a chance of him coming back. Ok so there was one thing I didn't like about the book and its pretty stupid, I for some reason couldn't get over Bodhi's name it was distracting to me. This book was pretty great through and I really enjoyed it! 5 of 5 Stars!

Sweet lord. I’m still trying to recover from my tears and laughs and overall swoony sighs while reading Only for You. Yeah, it ticks off all my boxes: Hot, sexy, broody leading male. Check. Smart, sassy, fun leading female. Check. Great friends and family. Check. Adorable dog or kid to keep things fun. Double check.

Any parent can empathize with Bridgette Dalton’s plight. She’s a single mom, raising a precocious, fun, amazing little boy and she doesn’t want anything or anyone messing with her boy’s heart. Her heart is a bit fragile too . . . which is why she buries herself in work—running her own flower shop. She hasn’t taken the time to find someone or to love. But the gruff, hot AF next door neighbor may just be too tempting to avoid.

Bohdi Booker is in town only long enough to rehab the house his mother will retire to. He’s planning to spend only a few weeks in Sweetwater, then he’ll return to his training and his special ops job. He runs the risk of dying every time he goes out on a mission, and has vowed to never leave a wife and family behind to grieve. But he wasn’t banking on Bridgette and Louie and how his feelings are making him want to plant roots like never before.

Gah. Still working through this. Sill trying to be in the here and now but wow, I’m still swooning over the romance between Bohdi and Bridgette. They are perfect for each other—and oh my, are they hot and dirty and flirty between the sheets. I loved how their relationship progressed. Loved the bald-faced honesty with each other. Loved how neither of them could stop from falling hopelessly in love with the other.

And let’s talk about their families. Loved Bridgette and the relationship with her family, especially her sisters. So true and strong and hilariously honest. And, serious swoon time . . . I couldn’t get enough of Bohdi and Louie. Good gravy, each and every interaction between these two was hazardous to every ovary in a three mile radius.

I can’t wait for Piper and Ben’s books . . . I need more from this Sugar Lake series! ~ Missy, 5 stars

O-M-G! I hit the perfect book-boyfriend mother lode with Only for You.

Bridgette is the widowed mother of a precious 5-year-old boy. After tragically losing her husband when her son was a few months old, her sole focus has been raising her baby with as much family and love around him as possible.

When hunky Bhodhi moves in next door, suddenly her body starts reminding her she’s not just a mom, but a woman too. Although doing the hot neighbor wouldn’t be very appropriate… right?

Bhodhi just bought his mother a house in a lovely little town and decided to fix it up for her in between missions and training. His life, and the lives of those he goes to rescue, depend on him being focused so getting distracted by his sexy temporary neighbor is not a part of his plans.

Bridgette and Bhodhi’s chemistry is too hot to describe, their attraction just too powerful to fight off. Soon, they agree to a no-strings fling for as long as Bhodhi will be fixing the house. He won’t repeat his own family’s history and Bridgette just can’t risk losing a man she loves again.

As always, the best-laid plans will blow up in your face, and the more time they spend together, the more unwanted feelings begin to bloom.

Bridgette was a great mom, always thinking of her boy’s safety and happiness. I especially enjoyed how dedicated to him she was. She was sweet, funny, caring and put her son before anything else.

Bhodhi was too perfect for words. His ex-military past and S&R job meant he was one sexy, alpha, bossy man. It was his sweet side, though, that totally won me over. He was romantic, considerate and it was a total treat to see him fall in love with Bridgette and her little boy. Add to that his proficiency in the sextivities, his handyman abilities and the depth of emotion he showed… and I can admit I’m totally in love myself.

One of my favorite parts of Only for You was that we got to witness all the bonding that happened, and how they fell in love and became a family. I loved Bridgette’s family and their craziness, as well as Bhodhi’s mom and friend. My only complaint (if it can even be called that) is that the ending felt a little bit rushed. After all that buildup I would have appreciated a more detailed or fleshed out last couple of chapters… as well as the epilogue. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I adored the epilogue, I just love them more when there are babies.

Only for You is a relationship driven, sexy, fun and sweet romance I enjoyed from start to finish and I can’t wait to see what comes next. A new to me author I will definitely be reading more of!

There are so many interesting things to learn about Bodhi and I loved every time that Bridgette got to discover one of his unique qualities. He was great with her son, Louie, and together they created many special memories. I really enjoyed Only For You.

This was my first time reading Melissa Foster and I was pleasantly surprised by the sweet romance and the ensuing ultra steamy scenes! Bohdi and Bridgette burned up the sheets with their “friends with benefits” idea, and I loved how things backfired on them. I enjoyed the closeness of Bridgette’s family and cracked up over Bridgette’s son Louie, because who could resist a precocious five year old full of sweetness? Bohdi was too perfect, but it’s a romance novel! Where else do you find a ripped guy who can do anything with his hands (inside and out of the bedroom), knows the language of flowers, and reads romance novels?! Bridgette obviously landed herself one heck of a keeper when she crossed paths with Bohdi in her sister’s bakery!

Book two in the Sugar Lake series, Only For You easily read as a stand alone.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

"Just the sight of Bodhi Booker made all her best, and lonely, parts want to come out to play again, reminding her of exactly what she'd been missing out on."

"Until meeting Bridgette he'd never had trouble keeping his mind off women, never mind having any emotions worth hiding. But all it took was one word, one glance from her alluring green eyes, and he was toast."

Do you love romance, humor, family dynamic, tension, and a whole lot of heart?
Then, this book is for you!

From the first moment you see Bridgette and Bohdi interact, you know you're in for a treat!

Add in a sweet little boy named Louie, and you have yourself a wonderful story!

"You need to understand that nothing could ever compare to what I feel for you right now."
"Show me, Bohdi. Don't tell me. Show me."

This book had as much heat as it did heart.
I couldn't get enough!

Melissa Foster has once again shown us through words how powerful love and family is.
You become immersed into Sugar Lake all over again!
Even if this is your first Melissa book, you will feel like you're right at home in her imagination!

I can't wait for more from this family!!
Well done!

"You turned my world upside down and made me feel things I never thought I would.
You are my here and now, baby, but I will always love you."

Thank you to Lisa for letting me be part of this tour. I am a huge Melissa fan. I loved the first book in this series and have been eagerly waiting for Bridgette's story.

Bridgette is a single mum to 5 year old Louie. She runs her own flower shop and is an all round supermum in my opinion. Bridgette has loved and lost in the past and now she not only has to protect herself but also little Louie. I really loved Bridgette's character. She is extremely strong and brave. She is very hard on herself, especially when it comes to being a mum to Louie.

Bodhi is just about as close to perfect as I think it could get. He is sweet, caring and thoughtful. Throughout the book we always see him thinking about Louie before he does anything which I can't help but find endearing.

Little Louie is so funny in this book. You know how children say things and it breaks the tension and all the adults are laughing and the child has no idea why. Well that! If I have a kid like Louie I think I will be one happy mum.

This book gave me all the feels and all the tears. I spent about 2 chapters with just tears rolling down my face and I was so emotionally there with the characters that if it wasn't so damn cold I would have got my ice cream out the freezer to eat away the feelings.

I really love Bodhi's mum and Shira. Bodhi's mum had a lot of similarities to Bridgette which I enjoyed a lot. Shira was one of those characters that is so to the point that you just want to hug them for being the one to say what everyone else was thinking but without being aggressive. I hope she sticks around for another book.

I also adored Bridgette's siblings and I was super psyched to find out that they are all getting their own books! I cannot wait.

5 Star Review of Only For You (Sugar Lake #2) by Melissa Foster
This was one of those books that once I started I really did not want to put down. I loved everything about this book, particularly single mum Bridgette Dalton and her sexy neighbour Bodhi Booker.
This was a book full of mixed emotions, not least of which is fear. An emotional roller-coaster of a read that had me laughing and crying at times so invested was I in Bridgette and Bodhi’s story.
I haven’t read the first book in the series but I enjoyed this one so much that as soon as I finished I went and one clicked and started reading it straight away.
Only For You is a heart warming story of hope, courage and overcoming bone deep fear, of love and trusting that the one you love will be there to catch you if you fall.
Bodhi was such an amazing character that I freely admit I would like him in my life. The characters were not only well written but totally likeable and easy to relate too. I also felt that the supporting characters were amusing and fun to read about.
Ms. Foster wove a tale that kept me captivated from the first page until the last. I will most certainly be keeping my eye out for the next book in the series as I anxiously wait to find out who is next in the series.

Only for You by Melissa Foster is a beautiful, heartfelt contemporary romance and I loved it.

I loved the storyline, it was well written, the plot was entertaining, heartwarming and I loved Bodhi and Bridgette. They were likable, endearing characters that I easily connected with and they warmed my heart watching them come together. These two brought a smile to my face, I enjoyed their honesty and enjoyed their friendship. Bodhi made my heart explode watching him with Bridgette's little boy. These two had a special and loving relationship that added to my overall enjoyment of Only for You.

Once again author Melissa Foster has written a beautiful, heartwarming read with wonderful, relatable characters that will touch your heart with their story and leave you with a smile on your face.
Only for You is a great addition to the Sugar Lake series, each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend them.

After Bridgette’s husband passed away five years ago she and her baby son Louie returned home to be near her family. She has rebuilt her life and her focus is ensuring that her flower shop is a success and that she is the best mother to her son that she can be but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t get lonely sometimes.

Bodhi is in town for two weeks to renovate his mother’s home while he is on leave from his special ops job. He lost his father as a child and has vowed that no one will grieve for him like he did for his father.

Bridgette and Bodhi are very attracted to each other so they agree to a “no strings” relationship while he is town which suits both of them. As they spend time together their relationship is no longer the uncomplicated physical interaction they expected but will they be willing to take the chance on being hurt to see what they could have together?

I have loved this series and I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Only for You is book 2 in the Sugar Lake series. Bridgette and Bodhi both have lost a loved one in the past. Bridgette never wants to go through that pain again. Bodhi never wants to be the one that leaves his family behind. As sparks fly between them and things start to get more intense, they realize they just might have more than a fling. I loved Louie and the interaction with him. This book was really good, and I highly recommend it.

Wow!! Just....wow!! This is the second book in a row from Melissa Foster that has left me with a book hangover and I don’t want to pick up another book and read any time soon. Only for You was the perfect book go follow her emotional Thrill of Love book release. The story and characters in Only for You are so strong that there is no chance of being over shadowed by Thrill of Love.
This author amazes me time and time again with how she can weave stories that I feel so much a part of even though I’m reading it and not actually living it like I feel.
I couldn’t help but fall for Bodhi the minute he walked into The Real Thing, book 1 in the Sugar Lake series, for the first time. Bridgette’s reaction to Bodhi that first time hooked me on the two of them as a couple. He’s the strength and support she needs in her life especially with her young son Louie. And oh my gosh I just love Louie!!!! Bodhi’s bond with Louie is priceless.
There is angst in this book and an event that I really didn’t want to happen, but had the author left out those important steps in Bridgette and Bodhi’s relationship it just wouldn’t have been the complete story that it is. Thank you!

Bodhi has no intentions of getting involved with anyone. Going on dangerous missions, he doesn't feel it's fair to a woman in case he doesn't make it back. He saw what his mother went through and vows never to let that happen. Yet when he meets his widowed neighbor, Bridgette, and her young son, Louie, he can't help but wish he could be a part of their family.

What can I say, other than Melissa Foster has hit another story out of the ballpark? Bodhi comes across as gruff initially, but the way he interacts with Louie will melt reader's hearts. Bodhi and Bridgette both have things in their past they need to overcome in order to move forward, and they are able to help one another because they understand each other and the loses they have suffered.

This is the second book in the Sugar Lake series, but it can be read as a standalone. For those who have read book one, readers get glimpses of the rest of the Dalton siblings and it was nice to see them again and how supportive they were of Bridgette.

I can't recommend this book enough. It's definitely a must-read if you enjoy a good romance.

Only for You
I love everything about this book. It's a wonderful love story that tugs at your heart. Melissa Foster has a way of capturing your attention and your heart with her stories and Bodhi and Bridgette and little Louie are no exception, you fall in love with all the characters even the dog Dahlia.

Only For You captivated me from the first page! Melissa Foster’s pairing of widowed mom Bridgette Dalton with handsome, semi-retired special agent Bodhi Booker perfectly blends passion, humor and life in a small town. I adored Bodhi and Bridgette’s journey and read the book in one afternoon.

I love Melissa Foster’s characters because they are relatable, honest and their journeys are hard won. Bridgette is a hard working single mom who owns a busy florist shop. She relies on her family for support. Although, motherhood is her priority; she has definitely noticed her sexy next door neighbor. Both Bridgette and Bodhi have suffered the loss of a loved one. Bridgette’s husband died suddenly and she does not want to be left behind ever again. Bodhi‘s job is dangerous and he doesn’t want to leave a family behind if he doesn’t return home. His steadfast decision is deeply personal as his father died when he was young. Bodhi is due to report for training in two weeks. So a quick, two week romance should work for the couple, correct?

The chemistry between the couple sizzles and it’s fabulous to see Bridgette come out of her shell, realize that she can be Louie’s mom and Bodhi’s lover. Loved the caring, protective side to Bodhi in the well- written, often humorous scenes with Bridgette’s son Louie. Only For You is filled with colorful, superbly crafted supporting characters. These characters add warmth, humor and a dose of reality to the story. Adored Bridgette’s mom, Roxie, and her hand cream/love potions, five-year old Louie with his astute dinnertime observations and Zane and Ben’s conversations with Bodhi.

Only for You is a feel good book; complete with a caring, loving hero, a slightly overwhelmed mother of a precocious five- year old, her fun, zany family and a very big dog. I was captivated by the couple and their sweet, sexy romance and didn’t want the two- week time frame to end. The novel pulls at the reader’s heartstrings – because it’s obvious that Bodhi and Bridgette love each other. Can they take a leap of faith and take a chance at love

The novel has a few surprises for the reader as Ms. Foster doesn’t write the typical happily ever after ending for this couple. The conclusion is perfect and the epilogue is FABULOUS. Louie steals the show!
