unfortunately, this one wasn't for me! I'm just not a fan of the author's writing and the characters! They weren't my style.

This was an enjoyable read with a storyline that I found to be very interesting. this was a story that I enjoyed from start to finish.

I honestly thought this book would end up pretty cheesy with a no nonsense alpha prince that would be pushy as heck. Its usually what happens when I find out there is pregnancy and princes involved. Normally I stray away from this type of book because of that, I dont think I was paying I gotten ahold of this book. But you know what? I did end up enjoying this book which was surprising. I loved that Jameel was patient and letting this happen when it did. I loved seeing that conflict he had and didn't push for his way but let Freya make up her own mind and he was going to respect the decision that was made, obviously he wanted to be with his future babies and was willing to see what was going to happen. I loved how the pair worked together and there was a bit of romance. Overall this was pretty good book I enjoyed it.

This is a very moving story Freya McFadden had always been a fun loving girl studying to be a midwife that was until she fell in love with the wrong guy one who wanted to control her and when he lost that control he decided that no one should have her so he threw acid on her, this is life changing but Freya continues her study and becomes a midwife she loves her job and works nights to keep out of the spotlight. But a fancy dress fundraising ball changes her life.

When Freya attends the fancy dress fundraising ball she can be herself under cover of a veil so when she encounters a pirate she is attacked to instantly like never before and becomes bold and makes a pass which leads to a very sensual encounter with a stranger that leaves her pregnant with twins and then to meet him at work weeks later her heart is pounding.

Jamie is a midwife a good one it had been his passion for many years so much so that he had to leave his country to follow his dreams but he is a Prince, Prince Jameel Al Bakhari of Majidar who now lives in England. He starts at a new hospital and who does he run into but the woman he has not forgotten and she is pregnant and he will do what he has to do to keep Freya and his babies.

Freya is so scared by her past that she finds it hard to be out and about but Jamie only sees her beauty and her strength, there are a lot of hurdles for them both to cross before they can get to their HEA but get there they do. Freya comes across a bit stubborn but I do understand why and I really felt for her and Jamie is just the best hero he is so caring and loving, so I highly recommend this one for all who love a good medical romance and babies. Thank you MS Heaton for another fab story.

The world can be a cruel place. Freya is learning to cope with the hand life dealt her. What was once a beautiful, trusting soul, has become a reclusive creature of the night. One traumatic event broke her trusting heart and left her changed forever. With no warning she became a woman with scars. The fearless girl became a broken woman. One night changes all that. She meets a sexy stranger at a costume party and finds the courage to take a risk. Boy is she in for the surprise of her life. Pregnant with his Royal Twins is a courageous tale of the beauty of acceptance, the power of love and the ability to hope. Wrapped inside an unusual fairytale fantasy that makes it no less beautiful, but even more powerful.

Utterly beautiful book, as always Louisa does not disappoint. Heartwarming and a hero and heroine to be adored to be sure. I defy anyone not to love this enchanting book

It was a good read for this time of the year. Usually, those of us who read Harlequin practice suspension of disbelief while we read these novels; however, this novel was a bit more surreal then others. On the other hand, Louisa Heaton did deliver a warm story and readers will have a good time with it.

Pregnant with His Royal Twins brings us a dashing, noble prince and a scarred, scared midwife making a life for herself after a tragedy. It shows how courage and love can lead to a happy ever after.
Freya, unfortunately, frustrated the heck out of me. I understood where she's coming from. She was scared and she had been hurt terribly before with dreadful consequences but even though she was brave in recovering from her tragedy, she was not brave enough to take a chance and love and live again. She kinda decided to lump every man in the same bucket as her awful ex. This made things very unfair for Jamie and I felt so bad for him.
This is an excellent example of what I mean. It illustrates Freya's attitude perfectly.
‘I think Jamie and I are going to give things a go.’ It felt odd to say it. Jamie and I. Her mum smiled at her over her own mug. ‘Really? Oh, I’m so pleased to hear that. I really am.’ ‘We don’t know what’s going to happen, but we’re going to take it a day at a time. It’s all we can do, really.’ ‘Stop downplaying it, Freya. You’re already making it sound like it’s doomed before it starts.’ ‘I’m just being realistic.’ ‘No, you’re trying to protect yourself before you get hurt and it won’t work that way. If you are going to give it a try with Jamie then you’ve got to be in it wholeheartedly. One hundred per cent. Not with one foot already out of the door.’
Jamie is a saint. And he's wonderful. He was so kind and patient and understanding towards Freya and her situation. Mostly, I felt like he was being cheated because she shut him out and she was constantly erecting barriers and not letting him in, even though he had proven himself time and time again. But Jamie was also torn by his duty to his country and felt he couldn't make a commitment because he would have to choose between his love for Freya and the babies, and his duty to his country. Poor Jamie. Caught between a rock and a hard place.
I love Harlequin Medical Romances because I like the medical stuff I learn on top of the romance. This one took me outside of my comfort zone. With both Freya and Jamie are midwives, I learned more about the birthing process than I ever wanted. The whole birthing process and babies just aren't my thing.
I'll be reading more medical romances but might stay away from midwives and the birthing process for a while.

This book was too depressing for my taste. What happened to the heroine and the negative outlook she had of herself and everything else, was too much of a downer for me. I like "light' fictional romances to escape in, not real life tragedies. Having acid thrown on the h and a deformed face/body was just not my cup of tea. Sorry!

I didn't like Freya as much as I wanted to. She was really stubborn through out the book with not a lot of visible growth until literally the last few pages. I did like the mix of the medical drama with the standard prince/sheik story.

This Freya and Jameel’s story. She was burned by acid by her previous boyfriend. She has had many surgeries on her face and neck. She is very self conscious about her face. Jameel is a prince from another country working as a midwife. They meet at a masquerade and ends up having sex. She finds she is pregnant. He ends up working in the same unit where she is a midwife. He finds out. In his country that means marriage. She has trust issues. He tries to bring her around to his way of thinking. They end up falling in love. I couldn’t put this book down. I read it in 1 sitting.

A good short perfect romance for the beach. The male a bit too perfect, even though I thought the flawed female character was great.
