I really enjoyed the steamy sex scenes. I totally recommend this book. Thanks to Netgalley, for this free copy. My opinion is my own.

Fun regency romance with a little bit of a 'supernatural' plot to keep the story going. I did wish it was a bit longer so I could get to know the characters better, but all in all a good quick read.

Historical erotic romance. I loved it! Lady Sophia is a virginal member of society. Her father gambled all their money away so he found Lord Stone who will marry her and pay her father's debts. She has been in love with the Lord's best friend, Lord Huxley for a long time. These friends have been known to share a lot of things, especially women. Lady Sophia found a book that describes the pleasures of the flesh. The Lord's Stone and Huxley would like to show her these things themselves . THIS is erotica at it's best. I received this book from Net Galley for an honest review.

Well, the title and cover of this one was what caught my eye. Are Two Dukes better than One? Well, in this book it seems so. Sophia is a young debutante, who has to marry to help her father overcome all the gambling debts he has made. But when Huxley, the man she quietly adores from afar refuses to marry her because of the oath he made to Sophia's late mother, she is forced to marry Stone, Huxley's arch nemesis.
What Sophia doesn't know is that Stone and Huxley are in fact no enemies at all. They share their women, but in the 19th century there is frowned upon these kind of relationships. Therefore they appear to be enemies. When Stone realizes Huxley is in love with Sophia, but can't marry her, he offers to marry her. This way they can both enjoy her. But in order to prepare her for this threesome, they agree to both seduce her before the marriage bed. Lorna shows us many ways of seduction, so beware of melting panties. In all: Two Dukes are definitely better than One Duke. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Two Dukes are Better Than One by Lorna James is an erotica novel about a young woman named Sophia who must marry the Duke of Kendall in order to clear her father's gambling debt, but gets more than she bargained for when her husband's best friend, the Duke of Bedford, is part of the deal.

The story was just okay, some parts were cheesy while others parts were witty and fun; however, the ménage à trois sex scenes totally made up for the lacking storyline. A quick read! I rate this novel 3 out of 5 stars.

I have never read and book like this and wanted to try at least one, but the m/m/f just wasn't for me. I did like all the characters, the mysery elements, and the heat was smoking.

This was a decent book to pass the time with. The story is smooth flowing, there are moments of witty dialogue and I enjoyed the way both Dukes encouraged Sophia to explore her sexuality with them separately before engaging her together.

I will say there was an element of the paranormal woven throughout this story as well that may turn off readers who aren't into that sort of thing, but on the whole I felt it added to the story rather than distract from it. I also enjoyed the way nothing was "wasted" in this story - meaning every character mentioned was mentioned for a reason.

My one complaint is that I wish it had been longer, and had addressed one glaring question - what does the future hold for these relationships? Obviously her husband is going to want an heir and a spare to secure the line, so where does that leave the other partner? Does he find someone else to share? Does their relationship continue after she conceives? Does she ever conceive or is she unable to? These were the questions I most wanted answers to (but that's just me).

On the whole I do believe this story may appeal to those who enjoy the more erotic historical novels.

This was a quick and dirty read. The journey was fabulous and I was happy with the chemistry between the characters.

Very quick read, I liked the story line, although I wish it had been a longer story with more conflict between the dukes and Lady Sophia before everything works out.

Lady Sophia Hodges is different from other young ladies of the ton. In Two Dukes are Better Than One, not only does she have a little of her mother’s psychic gift, but she has an unusual taste in reading materials.

Thinking because of her interest in the occult means she will never marry, she obtains a manuscript which she believes is about life in a convent. It is, not the typical convent life which is described, however.

Awaiting a rendezvous with a widow at a ton party, The Duke of Kendall, Cromwell Stone, accidentally finds himself in the library. He is then surprised when a young woman comes into the room as well.

Told that the room was haunted, Sophia tries to make contact with the spirits within. Thinking that the spirit is that of her mother, she apologizes for reading the raunchy manuscript.

Flustered at meeting the Duke, she has no defense against his interrogation. She tells him about the manuscript. And how she was excited about the section where a nun is taken by two men at the same time.

Kendall knows immediately that this woman must be his wife. Having for years kept up the pretense of a feud between himself and Huxley Brigmore, Duke of Bedford, Kendall has instead been sharing mistresses with Bedford.

Shocking But So Enticing

This is a certainly one of the steamiest reads I’ve had in a long time. If my kindle didn’t explode into flame.

At first blush, one would think that this would be a coercion situation. But the author, Lorna James, has masterfully written all of the characters ensuring that nothing is done without the utmost pleasure and consent.

If you have some wrinkles and some particularly challenging laundry, this will certainly steam them out. It is an extremely well-written book without being vulgar in the slightest even given the content.

While looking for an easy sexy read involving MFM I decided to give this book a try. It sounded like fun and I was intrigued to see how one would write this genre in an historical era.

It was a fast read and there were some very hot scenes but for me the part that caught my interest is the interaction between Cromwell Stone and Huxley Brigmore. Trying to figure these two out occupied my thinking throughout the whole book.

Lady Sophia was a unique character and at times she appeared to be naive to the times she lived in. The introduction of the two men wanting her and how they kept pressing her to new experiences was handled with finesse.

I would of liked the plot a little more developed but it was enough to hold my interest.

Boring and not at all what I was expecting. Don’t bother..

It is a good story but it's slow and lacks the sizzle I usually get from this author. It is a historical romance but the wording is off for the period.

I enjoyed this book. I found the characters, story and historical erotica a great escape and quick read. I am looking forward to reading other books from this author.

To say I haven't read erotica in a long time and this is my first one back into the genre, it was gooood. The scenes were great but I just wish there was more to the actual plot, like the ending for instance. Still a brilliant book nonetheless!

This was a breezy erotic novella but I wished it was a little longer to flesh out the characters more. I liked Sophia’s interest i tarot and the supernatural that gave depth to the plot.

In the quest to complete challenges, I chose this book for my menage category. It was a little dirty, though frankly not too dirty and light. There was an attempt at a plot to keep the book moving along and the sex scenes actually stayed quite fresh. Considering this was erotica, I think that can be an impressive feat.

My usual issues with erotica exist. I don't understand the relationship between the two men. I understand Sophia's attraction to them, sure, seductive and powerful. How are they best friends though? Why? What benefit does this relationship have to Huxley & why can he afford to forego heirs? (And frankly, the historical aspect of this had very little to do with the book|) My usual issues with menage exist. I have trouble understanding the dynamic and why it works well for the three of them. Yes, Huxley was sweeter, and yes, Stone was more wicked...

All in all, an entertaining enough read about a "lusty virgin" and the two dukes who show her ecstasy. (Note also, this was a novella.)
