I really enjoyed this erotic historical MFM Romance. I loved the main character and thought she was my kind of girl! I love how Lady Sophia says “Why don’t they throw library parties where everybody reads books and wears comfy clothes!” I mean, I think I am in love.
I am also in love with the two male main characters of this story as well. This was more of a novella than a full story and that’s great with me, the kind of girl that likes to ‘hit it and quit it’!
I wish this book was a little longer though so that this fantastic characters would have a bit more depth. There also was this enjoyable mystery subplot that made this really fun. Overall, I highly recommend this steamy read especially if your looking for something a little “freaky, freaky”!

A delicious historical romance that features two dukes interested in the same lady and their road to sharing one another. The author did a great job of creating distinct dukes, with the rougher skeptic Cromwell Stone opposed with his gentler best friend Huxley Brigmore. It's easy for readers to fall for both men quickly. I also really liked the author's use of seance readings and tarot cards as a thread throughout the book; it was very obvious she had a lot of knowledge about tarot card meanings and their contributions to the story helped to move the plot forward as well as establish some mystery. The erotic scenes throughout the book were great-lots of sexual tension (and release), laugh-out-loud moments between Stone and Brigmore, and delicious threesome scenes in the latter half of the book. I will be looking for more from this author!

This was an easy, fun, sexy read with no depth in the story. The ending was a bit flat because I felt that there was no closure between the characters. If you are looking for a fun, sexy ménage book, this one is for you.
I was given this book by Netgalley for an honest review that is all my own.

Cromwell & Huxley seem to hate each other but really love to share women, so Cromwell offers for her hand in marriage but they all fool around together. Lady Sophia Hodges is a bit of a wallflower and loves reading. She gets her hands on a book that seems really boring called The Convent Life Chronicles---but it's really Victorian-age Erotica where a dude disguises himself as a nun, breaks into the convent, and basically has sex with everyone.
The storyline is simple and has some fun moments when the confused girl is courted by both men she is attracted to. The clairvoyance and tarot cards aren't really necessary for the story. The sex itself is not hardcore in anyway.

Two Dukes are Better Than One is a fluffy piece of historical erotica. It's not really a romance per se, but it's sort of packaged as one. But, don't come into this looking for a well-balanced ménage because it's mostly just sex with little to no emotional, character and relationship development. There's even light paranormal threads running through it, so if that's your thing, you just may enjoy this. I did enjoy it, for what it is, but was disappointed to find it wasn't the passionate, emotional ménage I had been hoping for.

Lady Sophia has been in love with Duke Huxley Brigmore for years now, ever since he rescued her from an attack. Now, she finds from her ne'er do well father that he's essentially selling her off to Huxley's arch nemesis, Duke Cromwell Stone. Stone, the man whom is interested in her because she is so enthralled by a piece of erotic fiction she convinced her father to buy for her under the guise that it was a nun's writings. Sophia's dismayed to find that she's attracted to Stone, even as her mind and heart long for Huxley. Huxley, who isn't really Stone's enemy as they pretend. No, in fact, they're best friends who like to share their women. When Sophia finds she'll be able to have the man her heart wants, and Stone, the man her body is attracted to, both, what's she to do? Well, indulge herself, of course!

Add in some silly occult events that surround Huxley's dead sister and Sophia's dead mother, and Two Dukes are Better Than One is a very fluffy, but enjoyable, piece of erotica. It's not the the most erotic ménage I've ever read, nor is it particularly well-balanced between the emotional and the physical, but for what it is, it's enjoyable. If you want something light and fun with ménage steamy times, then put Two Dukes are Better Than One on your TBR list. If, however, you're looking for a ménage that's balanced between the emotional and physical aspects, has good character and relationship development, an actual romantic love story, then you should certainly look elsewhere.

Wow awesome book! I loved both Stone and Huxley! I would not have been able to choose between the two. The chemistry was hot and I enjoyed the mystery as well!

It was a decent story. I was given the thrills and chills but found myself wanting more. I'm not sure if it was me or the story that was lacking the heart for the book.

This book is, at a glance, is exactly what you think it would be. It's all about sex. There really wasn't much more than a plot- other than the characters getting it on. I liked the story but I wish there would have been as much going on outside the bedroom as there was going on inside it.
If you are looking for a good erotica book than this is the perfect book for you! Overall, I enjoyed the story.

This is a ménage story. The two Dukes Stone and Huxley were supposed to be enemies. They were always fighting but in truth they were the best of friends. They shared everything even their women. This book contains a lot of sex. There are many graphic scenes with the three of them.

This was a solid Novella. I thought it was going to be a full novel. Being that is was not the story moved very quickly, but I felt like the characters were not really fleshed out. The “mystery” aspect of this story just really didn’t grab my attention. Over all I enjoyed the story I just wish it had been longer so that the plot & characters could have been more developed.

This is a very hot , active And sexual book the first of this genre for me.A definite eye opener
However that’s not to say that it wasn’t good , the story and the writing were very good and it does keep you turning the pages.
The characters had depth and the different personalities all jelled really well .
There is no violence in this book, and the sex scenes were written tastefully. All in all I quite enjoyed the trip and would think about reading another from this author

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and chose to submit a review

The story was a fun, quick read, but it had potential to be developed further, with more depth. I really liked Lady Sophia Hodges, as she is somewhat quirky with a unique personality and I enjoyed the character's sense of humor/wit. The only problem I had with this book was I wanted more...more time to get to know the characters/intro, more time for the plot to develop, more mysticism, and more of what happens in the end.

I received a copy from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is my first time reading this author; but it most certainly won't be the last! I enjoyed the story and the heroine who had a brain and a great imagination. She is the most developed and well rounded of all of the characters. Her Dukes are ok, but I felt as if their development wasn't as strong as the heroine. Don't let this dissuade you, the book is a treat. If you love the Ton, some sass and a few blushes in your reading; this is the book for you!

Talk about erotic storytelling! Sophia buys a book that she thinks is based on religion, then discovers that it's actually a very erotic story. Being a virgin, she doesn't understand all that she reads. After bumping into Cromwell Stone at a party, and letting it slip out about the book, he convinces her to tell him a little about it. Although for the life of me, I can't understand why she would trust him enough to confide this secret. After hearing about the erotic adventures in the story, he realizes that she may be the perfect companion to him and his best friend/enemy, Huxley. Add into the mix a little tarot card reading, and spirits. I enjoyed the love, hate relationship between the two men. Sophia falls for the two men, and thus begins the smoking hot, seduction. Although I felt the end was a little rushed, and could have been explored more, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Looking forward to more from this author.

I received a copy from NetGalley; this is my honest review.
Short erotic menage.
There is nothing to suggest the story is either Victorian nor historical.
Fun read with a bit of paranormal and mystery.
Great sex scenes.
Don't miss out! Buy the book.

Two Dukes are Better Than One by Lorna James.
This is the story of Cromwell Stone, Huxley Brigmore and Sophia Hodges.
Sophia likes to read Tara Cards and Tea Leaves and what she sees is a passionate future. But her father has gambling issue and he means to marry her off. Sophia has a crush on Huxley but her father plans to marry her off to Stone. But little does she know that Stoen and Brigmore are not enemies at all but are the 'best' of friends.
This was a really hot Historical Romance...something you don't see to often.

This was an interesting read. I haven't read a lot of historical lately. I did get a bit frustrated with them not communicating well with her before the marriage. She was clearly a well read person, and they left her feeling horrible about herself. It all worked out in the end for them of course.
You can sort of figure out the bad guy, but the twist was good. I liked how it all got sorted out in the end.
