I watched the Hallmark movie before reading this and I think that made it better. I like the spiritual but still holiday feel in this. Good message too and cute story.. Will be a rereadable holiday story to come.

I really love Hallmark Channel movies, especially the Christmas movies. A Heavenly Christmas is a kind of a feminine take off on A Christmas Carol. Eve has no time for Christmas because she spends all of her time working. After an accident she finds out that she’s to be a Christmas angel and finds that falling in love will complicate her assignment. I found the ending surpirsing and some of the plot twists very unexpected. Since it doesn’t line up with my own view of Heaven and the afterlife I didn’t expect to like it at all. But, it held my attention fairly well. If you’re a fan of literature about angels or Christmas romance, you’ll really enjoy this book. As always a I greatly appreciate that Hallmark can keep things exciting, romantic and CLEAN even if the stories aren’t exactly my taste.

Cute Hallmark book about a woman realizing her life as it is, is not what she really wants for herself. She strives to make changes and help touch the lives of a man and his niece.

Thanks to Netgalley for giving me this book to read in exchange for an honest review. No compensation was given, offered, or taken to alter the opinion.

This is my fourth Hallmark book and my last book of 2017. Let me just say that it definitely didn't disappoint! This was the perfect book to end 2017 with. Most Hallmark movie plots are easily predictable, but for me that doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the story. This book is all about second chances. I've said this in all of my Hallmark book reviews, but I hope that these Hallmark movies turned books will become more of a regular thing. This is a charming and sweet read for anyone who is a fan of Hallmark Channel movies or Christmas stories.

A Heavenly Christmas by Rhonda Merwarth is based on the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie by the same name. I didn’t remember watching this movie, so I was excited to read the book, especially after reading the previous Hallmark eBook, Christmas in Homestead, and enjoying it.

A Heavenly Christmas was a well written book. We read about Eve, who is a workaholic and isn’t that into Christmas. She is really focused at work and that is consuming her over the holidays.

Eve ends up slipping on a patch of ice on a sidewalk and hits her head. She wakes up in heaven and ends up training to be a Christmas angel. While Eve hasn’t been into Christmas in years, she is now thrown into training and she sets out on her new job.

While the story was written well, I just wasn’t that into it. I think it was more the overall storyline that I didn’t care for as much as other books. That doesn’t mean this is a bad book. If this type of story is something you enjoy, then I think you will like this book. It just wasn’t for me, but that won’t keep me from reading more of Hallmark’s ebooks because I’m loving them!

A Heavenly Christmas is a sweet, feel good story. The premise has been done before but this story was well done. The heroine falls and hits her head and ..... well, read the book to find out what happens. Eve, the heroine, gets the opportunity to see how she was living her life as though sleep walking and gets to see all the "living" she missed. This book became a Hallmark Channel movie. If you enjoy the Hallmark Christmas movies, you will enjoy this book.

Upon her untimely death, a workaholic who never put much value into the joys of Christmas finds herself recruited to be a Christmas Angel -- and is assigned a hard luck case that she accidentally falls in love with. I got an ARC of this book from Netgalley.

Eve is a workaholic who has no time for her family. When an accident causes her to turn into an angel, Eve is set to work on Max, a single uncle of a little girl who has given up on his dream.

Eve's task is simple...
1. Get him to follow his dream.
2. Don't fall in love.

Easier said than done.

This is a charming read for anyone who is a fan of this movie or Hallmark Channel in general. Clean for everyone, this novel is a real treat

If you love Hallmark Channel movies, especially around Christmas time (like I definitely do), then you’ll be excited to learn about Hallmark Publishing and their line of Hallmark Movies that have been published as novels. I happen to love being able to click on a book anytime of the year, so now the movies I enjoy can also be the books I enjoy anytime at all. Win for everyone.

Eve is a career driven woman who has no time for family, friends, personal relationships or life in general. She is focused on her clients, her work and climbing the corporate ladder to partner as quickly as possible. Her brother and his family would love nothing more than if she would slow down and give them her time, not presents bought by her assistant… but Eve has her eye on a goal and will not look away for anything or anyone. But all that will change in one brief moment – and now her eyes are finally opened to the world and the people around her, when it’s too late.

A Heavenly Christmas is a charming Christmas Romance that shows the reality of taking life so seriously that you don’t even live life but power through with goals and plans – but not people. Max and Lauren are the perfect people to show a far different Eve exactly what living life is all about. Watching Eve take a hard look at her previous life is heartbreaking, but necessary if she’s to learn anything.

I loved the interactions between Eve and Pearl, another guardian angel who guides her through her first assignment. Their banter is fun to listen to, and often strikes straight to the heart of the matter. Max is going through some tough times right now. He’s making a decision based on his love for his niece, but one that is breaking his heart as well. Eve’s presence will bring joy and a change of mind into Max’s life – and a wish for so much more with this beautiful woman.

I enjoyed A Heavenly Christmas very much and would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys sweet romance, and possibilities.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
