Everyone knows how those fairy tales go. The princess gets beautiful, nabs her prince and leaves her evil stepsisters in the dust.

But what happens when you’re the ugly stepsister and your obnoxiously perfect—pretty, smart, and, worst of all, nice—stepsister is dating the charming, devastatingly handsome guy you’ve had a thing for since you were nine?

This was such a quick fun read. I could related to Mattie when I was that age in a lot of ways and felt for her so much even when I wanted to smack her around the head and tell her to open her eyes. Jake what can I say about Jake except I would of fallen in love with him to if they had boys like that in high school.
I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars and wanted to keep reading and having a sneak peak of the Promposal just made me want to keep going. It has me worried that I don't see anything about this book coming out and I feel like I have watched a whole season of a show and it finished on a cliff hanger and it ended up cancelled. Please tell me the second book will come out sometime in the future ????. The only reason I didn't give the book 5 stars was for the fact I can not see anything about a second book and there where times I got over hearing about Jake all the time. It would of been amazing to hear more about her Manga etc instead. The only other issue is the cover it really doesn't show how great this book is, it is a real hidden gem.

Love this book. It is fun, witty and well written. It reminds you not to judge a book by its cover ... pardon the pun. Would definitely recommend ... its well worth the read.

The Ugly Stepsister Strikes Back is a funny book written for the YA audience, but is suitable for most readers. Tilly ( Mattie) is snarky, funny and outrageous. Thanks to NetGalley, the author Sariah Wilson and Kindle Press for the complimentary copy. I would love to read a sequel.
