I absolutely adored this book! The main characters were both so charming (despite Jera's insecurities), and I loved the backdrop of her friendships with her bandmates. (Friendship is so underutilized in romance novels!)

I don’t usually read New Adult - I’m a little too far past the age to be patient with people making bad decisions, and so much of NA seems to skew that way. With that out of the way, I loved this book. Jera was an especially relatable heroine: someone for whom sex and trust don’t come easy (and yes, the two are related in a very realistic way). Her past boyfriends have laid their lack of patience and experience at her door, thinking that sex should be turnkey-easy every time.

Enter Jacob, a guy who’s almost TOO perfect. But in his perfectionist quest lies his flaws. I don’t generally swoon over imaginary guys, but I can definitely make room on my very sparsely-populated “book boyfriend” shelf for Jacob.

Add it all together and you have a great book for lovers of sex, humor, and rock & roll (not necessarily in that order).

I was given an advance reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review.
