WOW what a fabulous book. There was so much going on in this and what a wonderful array of different characters. It's the kind of story that makes you stop and think about what really matters. I laughed and I cried as it was full of emotion too.

This book was really fun. I loved the banter between Sam and Julie. Seeing Sam evolve over the course of the book was satisfying. I really appreciated how he would put in the work once he set his mind on something. Julie was wonderful. I loved her stubbornness, and how she took care of her uncle. I loved the bit I got to see of Julie's extended family, and now I definitely want to read the other books.

Lord Samuel Travis liked to party...so much so that he wound up crawling into the bed of of Lord Harborough's spinster aunt....after breaking a window to get in...giving his brother Nigel an excuse to throw him out. Nigel gives him an option, remove the 'squatters' from 'his' Hart Street house.
The 'squatters are Juliette Lacey and her Uncle Alistair and her sisters are out of town. Nigel wants to force Juliette into being his mistress and is not above lying and coercion.
Sam moves in against Juliette's wishes and is shocked to learn Nigel is behind it. Sam is presented to Alistair as an assistant and is surprised to learn, he really enjoys working with Alistair.
Juliette and Alistair are sure her aunt owned the house or had a lifetime lease.....but they couldn't find the deed.Being in close proximity Juliette and Sam grow closer and search frantically for the deed .... while Nigel applies more pressure to Juliette and tries to make Sam believe that he and Juliette have been intimate....but the young couple triumphs.
Told with wit, romance and humor, this installment of The Wayward Wallflowers is #3 and not to be missed.

I haven't read the first two books in this series, but that didn't stop me from being swept up in Sam and Julie from page 1.

Ne'er-do-well Sam has to kick Julie and her uncle out of their family home. Smart, responsible Julie doesn't want to be kicked out. While Sam tries to figure out if he wants to help her or evict her his brother decides to offer his own form of (completely inappropriate!!!) "help." A witty, gentle, and fun story evolves - with just enough spice to keep me hooked. I smiled through most of this read (except twice when I got sooooo mad at the bad guy). And now I'm wondering if the rest of the series is this good.

I enjoyed the romance between Sam and Julie. The H and h had great chemistry and there were a few steamy scenes in the book, but nothing excessive. Sam was a great H-- reformed rogues are my favorite! Julie was another great character as well. I liked how she did not allow the villain to bully her into a poor decision and I liked how she stood up for herself. Overall, this was a read I'd recommend!

This is book three in the series and a fun read. You can enjoy it as a stand alone as well. I enjoyed watching Juliette battle feelings between two very different brothers. Hot tension. People aren't who they apear to be. This reminds me what things are important in life. A wonderful cozy ending- picture perfect.

Another charming tale by Ms. Bennett. I really enjoyed the set up of this novel, which was original and engaging from the start. The tension between the hero and heroine was well developed, and other than a bit too much exposition, I really enjoyed the book. Would be happy to recommend!

Julie lives with her eccentric uncle and did not attract suitors because of her uncle. She had two sisters who were married so she alone took care of uncle. However her latest social event had her kissing Nigel a Marquess. Then Sam, the Marquesses brother shows up saying that the property belonged to his brother and that Julie and her uncle must vacate the property. Sam is a rogue and being punished but his brother but a deeper attraction ensues between Sam and Julie. His brother is the real rogue and Sam is the kind and thoughtful different than all appearances. I liked Julies spunk and Sam's dedication. I think it was a little fast physically but sweet nonetheless. I really wanted Nigel to get his just rewards and be exposed for the scoundrel he was, Thanks for a great book.

The Rogue Is Back In Town by Anna Bennett is a fabulous historical romance. Ms. Bennett has given us a well-written book. The characters are outstanding. I love the characters and their interaction in this book. Sam is a rake and a second son whose name often appears in the gossip papers. Julie is living with her Uncle Alistair in London and was a wallflower until her sister made good marriages. Their story is packed with drama, suspense, humor, a bit of action and sizzle to round this story into a can't-put-down book. I enjoyed The Rogue Is Back In Town from start to finish and eagerly await my next book by the talented Anna Bennett. The Rogue Is Back In Town is book 3 of The Wayward Wallflowers Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Lord Samuel Travis is known by all as a rogue compared to his older brother, Nigel. Sam has been confronted by his brother for his wayward ways and is forced by Nigel to evict the tenants of one of his homes if he is to ever receive funds from his brother.
On arriving at the residence, he finds Miss Juliette Lacey and her uncle living there. Juliette, the youngest sister of the three Lacey girls, has lived with her uncle and sisters before their marriages since her parents died. Unable to evict them from the house but having no place of his own, Sam arranges to live with Juliette and her uncle, whilst he uncovers a way to resolve the issue. Little does he realise that Juliette will soon make him reevaluate everything!
This story puts a spin on the classic tale and all is not as it seems with the two brothers. Sam is not the rogue that all would think. This was a great story and I particularly enjoyed the dialogue between this couple. Their attraction to each whilst intense is also lovely to watch unfold. Each brings about a change in the other that is great to read about. Sam’s character was particularly memorable as his strength of character shines through.
This was an excellent addition to the series “The Wayward Wallflowers”.

The Rogue is Back in Town

I had already read the first two novels in the Lacey sisters series by Anna Bennett, so I had high expectations for the final book. Although I do not normally enjoy love triangles, this one had quite the twist and I was thoroughly delighted with the crooked path the H/h had to travel to arrive at their HEA.
Ms. Bennett has a way of writing that makes you feel as if you actually know the characters she is writing about. They are so well formed, they come alive. I loved the way our hero matured during the story, and I adored how spunky and intelligent the heroine is. There is a lot going on in the novel, which makes it a fast read, but Ms. Bennett pulls it all together seamlessly.
The Rogue is Back in Town is quite the adventure; one well worth taking. Enjoy!

This novel was an enjoyable read and a good series. People are not always what they seem, which is the case with the 2 brothers in this novel. Miss Juliette Lacey will only marry for love. She currently cares for her uncle who saved she and her sisters from being separated after their parents died. However, the owner of the house she and her uncle currently reside in wants them to be removed. Nigel sends his brother, Samuel Travis to remove the occupants. Sam is a rogue and wants to mend the rift with his brother. What Same did not expect was the fierce and stubborn Juliette. Both are instantly attracted to one another. They want to keep Juliette's uncle from knowing the reason why Sam is there. However, as Sam spends time with Juliette and her uncle, his views change and he tries to help Juliette find a way to save their home. However, Juliette believed herself to be in love with Nigel, but did not realize his true nature. Nigel causes tension between Sam and Juliette. Juliette begins to see Sam is more than what he appears. Sam wants to be a better man, for he has fallen in love with Juliette as she has with him. However, Nigel's interference causes misunderstandings between them. Will they be able to mend the rift and save her home?

Skillfully written romance

I've enjoyed Anna Bennett's two previous Wayward Wallflower books, and she did a great job with Juliette's Julie) story, the last of the Lacey sisters. Julie and Sam's first meeting was an unlikely way to start a journey to HEA but that's what made the book interesting. All the unexpected twist and turns. I loved seeing Sam becoming the man his father would be proud of. Too, Julie's realization that men are not always who and what you think they are was eye opening and a bit of a twist.
I highly recommended this and the other books in the series.

A good read!
This series, has been very interesting. Each element of a great read in historical romances are strewn across them all. I must say I was engaged in the story. I found the characters to be very different as well as the plot line being totally unexpected to me. I like the way the writer has of setting up her plots and bringing them to fruition. I must say that this historical keeps me wanting more. I shall back up and read the others for I found it to be a fun captivating read. I was given this book in return for an honest review. Anna

The series continues with the fun sisters and the enduring uncle. A good regency romance for those who adore the genre.
