Overall this was a super read my only real problem with it was that Angela had no backbone she was a doormat at times when it came to her ex, other than that I did enjoy it I just loved her and Cade together the heat between them was off the charts hot.A super read cant wait for his brothers' stories

Angelica is a people pleaser for sure. Growing up in a well-to do family, there were many things expected of her and she did everything to make everyone happy. She'd been with Roland since a young age and for 8 years. Their families were friends. It was expected they would marry. He was a workaholic.

And......Angelica was completely bored! There was no passion in her love life and she wanted more! She needed to step out of her box!

Enter Cade Ryder......yum!!! Tatooed bartender/business owner. I loved Cade! I loved his brothers! I loved his Mom!

I loved the Torn Duet series by Mia Kayla, and I was so happy to receive this ARC through NetGalley! Great beginning to the Ryder Boys series!

P.S. Huge shout out to Christene "Tene", Angelica's sister who was the perfect character!

Absolutely adored this story. The concept alone was unique and actually had me gripping my ereader as I read it. There were so many twists. Though there were moments I wanted to smack the leading lady for her lack of a backbone but in the end she won me over! I would highly recommend this book to anyone!

Angelica thinks she's living the life she wants for herself. Her future is all planned out right down to how many kids she wants. But then she meets Cade and everything that she's been turning a blind eye to is suddenly staring her right in the face. I really loved that Cade gives her the space to make her own decisions and come to her own conclusions. But his own insecurities get the better of him when Angelica she gets unknowingly entangled in people's webs. Talk about overbearing mothers and 'can't take no for an answer' boyfriends. And what I loved about Angelica is that she didn't let things slide with Cade. She fought for him, tooth and nail. At the end, they do get the hapilly ever after they truly deserve.

Angelica is in a relationship going wrong. She meets Cade a tall, tatted gorgeous bartender at the club. The attraction between them is instant and off the charts hot. I enjoyed reading this book. The relationship between Cade and Angelica was hot but had its challenges to overcome. A wonderful story, will be looking for more from this author.

2.5-3 Stars

This is just a case of it’s me not you. I felt Unraveled was too fast paced. Angelica ends her relationship of 8 years and in a matter of weeks or a month she already loves Cade the bartender and vice versa. I also needed a little more backbone from her when it came to her telling her ex Roland and her mother off. She was a pleaser and her standing up for herself came way too late in the story. Her and Cade had chemistry but I needed an emotional connection and when I did feel it, which was at 80% then it was too late.

I really enjoyed Angelica’s relationship with her sister Tene. They were so much fun and supportive of one another.
Also Cade’s relationship with his two brothers, Jordan and Wyatt and their mother Stacy was great. Their dynamic was fabulous and a wonderful addition to the story that added some emotion.
I could feel an emotional connection between the Ryder family. Again it was just too late and my investment in the story was gone.
Don’t let this deter you from reading Unraveled.

Angie Armstrong and Roland Spencer had been together for years. Roland was working his way up the corporate ladder and Angie was finding it harder to get Roland to concentrate on them and their relationship instead of his high flying job.

After being let down for their dinner date again, Angie agrees to go to a club called Allswell with her sister Christene. Allswell was one of the properties owned by Armstrong Enterprises and was now a trendy club, she met the bar tender Cade Ryder. He was tall with jet black hair, wide shoulders and a beautiful face. Angie had never felt such an instant attraction.

At Angie and Christene's father's birthday dinner, Roland once again put business before family and Angie finally realised that it was never going to change and after deciding to call it quits on their relationship moved into one of Armstrong Realty apartments.

Knowing her life was going to change dramatically, Angie put everything behind her and became determined to start anew, making sure she was going to show everyone that she could be a great part of the family business and handle all types of clients, especially one particular Cade Ryder.

This was a really good read. The story flowed well and the characters were well developed. There were a few surprises along the way which made for an interesting read.

Thanks to Netgalley and Season Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Angelica’s life no longer contains the excitement she once had. Stuck in a boring relationship she feels unappreciated for the time she has invested on trying to make it work. One night out with her sister reminds her that she is still alive. Cade was everything she needed in her life. One intense lol was all it took for her to be captivated by him. The ultimate bad boy was everything her ex was not and reminded her she was a living, breathing woman. She definitely was not someone to be taken advantage of and forgotten. Will she finally embrace life and seek the change she hungers for? Absolutely brilliant read.

Angelica has been in a dead-end relationship with Roland since high school. She's tired of him working all the time and constantly breaking promises. So when he cancels on her birthday ... that is it! ... she leaves him! She decides to celebrate her birthday with her sister with a night out at the new night club in town where she meets Cade ... a hunky, tattooed, bad boy who is a bartender. The chemistry between them is instant and they begin a torrid affair. Even though Angel has left Roland, she is afraid to tell her parents because of her father’s heart condition. And besides, Cade is only in town for a couple of weeks and then he will be off to set up a new restaurant and bar.

Even though the chemistry between Angel and Cade was HOT HOT HOT ... I was getting really tired of her not being able to tell her parents she was in love with someone else and was always expecting Cade to forgive her ... grow up and man up!

I received an ARC copy courtesy of Season Publishing through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

I really like Mia Kayla books. She has a sweet way of telling a story that I enjoy. And then to find out this is going to be a series...... wohooooo!!

Angelica Armstrong is having what I would call a "enlightening". She realizes her life is what she wants anymore. Her boyfriend is too concerned with his job, than with her. She is not happy. Angelica realizes there is more than making her parents happy and being with someone who doesn't put her first.

Enter, Cade Ryder. Sexy, hot and tattooed bartender she is instability attracted to, but don't know what to do with any of the attraction to attention Cash gives her. She is fighting herself and her feelings for him. Torn between doing the "right thing:" and doing what will make her happy.

Love this story. I was a great read for me!

4.5 Stars!

Great start to a series!

Angelica Armstrong finds herself in a relationship with no passion, a dwindling connection and a boyfriend more interested in his job than her. When society dictates that you marry within your circle which just so happens to involve lifelong friends of your parents then it's hard to let go something you know is failing and not making you happy.

Angelica is totally awakened when she lays eyes on the tatted bartender with the sexy eyes. Cade Ryder sets her soul on fire and Angie is completely unraveled in his presence. When Cade makes it obvious he feels the same these two are constantly drawn together and find it hard to resist one another. While be a dutiful daughter requires Angelica to obey her parents her heart won't allow her to continue in an unhappy relationship no matter how bad her family- or better yet boyfriend- won't accept it.

I loved Cade Ryder desperately and I hated how Angel would hurt him so badly- they were destined to be together and you can't help but root for them despite how dumb his Angel can be.

Cade isn't exactly what he appears to be anyway. Nope- no drifting bartender here! He is actually part of a trio of brothers that are much more successful that Angelica's family and inner circle could dream of being.

The intense passion between Angel and Cade is off the charts and I loved their romance. This novel was great in bringing in the antagonist to rile up the situation - that being bother Angelica's boyfriend (ex) and her mother. Ugh that mom!

Great story with a glimpse into the future books of this series that I anxiously await!
