In the Eye of the Storm I adored Holly and her spunk, she always jumps to Stephen commands, but he oversteps when he has her come out in a storm to pick him up in a bar. Holly gives herself quite the pep talk on her way to pick him up and once she has him in her car, she chews him out big time. Fate always steps in when you least expect it, as Holly and Stephen find out. Great story

Catering to the CEO Adam and Cassie have worked together for a couple of years, Cassie is the caterer that Adam always uses for his office events and has high demands for Cassie, until he steps over the line with her. Cassie is very trusting with Adam until he hurts her one to many times. Adam is diffently one of those rich controls freaks who you want to smack upside his head for being such a arrogant jerk who thinks he is always right and everyone should do as he says, but Cassie turns his world upside down. I enjoyed both of these stories and highly recommend them to my friends.
Another win for Samantha Chase, all her books are wonderful.

It’s always a treat to get two great stories in one book from a favorite author – I will mention though that both In The Eye Of The Storm and Catering To The CEO have been published previously before being put together in a one book deal.

I enjoyed both stories, each has strong heroines who are faced with challenging heroes. I don’t think I could pick a favorite of the two. In The Eye Of The Storm does have a lighter feel to it, even when I was rolling my eyes in amusement or exasperation at Stephen. If you’ve enjoyed Samantha Chase’s recent stories and would like to get caught up on more of her earlier works, then this combination book is perfect for you. Or if you simply love a good romance with demanding men and the women who have the power to tame them then this combo is exactly what you’d enjoy. I had fun with both couples’ romances and really that’s the whole point. I’d recommend these stories to any Contemporary Romance reader who enjoys lively dialogue, a fun plot and emotionally charged romances

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

In the eye of the storm /Catering to the CEO
BY: Samantha Chase

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

Ok let me start with full disclosure and say I had high high high expectations for this book. That’s what happens when one jump into a book written by one of her favorite Authors. But of course I wasn’t disappointed by either of the two book. Written in dual POV however it does jump person to person in each chapter. It’s easy to fallow along as long as you know what to expect.

Authors Blurb: Dealing with your boss is never easy...falling in love with him is even harder.
In the Eye of the Storm
Holly Abrams can't believe her demanding...and unbelievably sexy...boss, Stephen Ballinger, called her to pick him up at 2 A.M. in the middle of a tropical storm. To make matters worse, the storm is too dangerous for her to make the trek home. Forced to stay at his place to wait it out, their relationship quickly turns passionate...but will it last past the thunder and lightning?

Catering to the CEO

Millionaire CEO Adam Lawrence knows how to get what he wants—in business and in the bedroom. So when caterer Cassie Jacobs dares to best him on a deal, Adam vows revenge. But when they get life-changing news that could bind them together for years to come, Adam may have no choice but to change his ways...and open his heart.

Dealing with your boss is never easy...falling in love with him is even harder.

I really enjoyed both books and they kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. These are fun, hot, romantic. Office romance must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

These books have everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks you Netgally for letting me read and review.

Two for the price of one! With this relaunch (with an updated cover), you get two stand-alone books.

Both stories feature a successful but romantically cold CEO and the women who make them change their ways. Both are fun (although at times frustrating because of the difficult male character) and are not as light as many of Samantha’s other stories.

I definitely recommend this two-in-one book!

I received this ARC thanks to Netgalley free I n exchange for an honest review.

This is the first time that I have read a duo or publication that had two non series books in one publication in it, but not the first time I have read Samantha Chase. I loved these stories individually, but I also thought it was neat to have them in one unit or book as they did both revolve around CEOs who are workaholics. What I also appreciated about it, is that it showed how creative and talented SC is because while both men were CEOs, the two stories are not similar and have the women in very different places in their interests and world, but both females are strong, loving, funny and very likable. I finished both books in one setting each. I did take a break between the two stories to ensure that I did not get characters mixed up or confused with the different worlds, but I found both stories to be very entertaining and quite engaging as I did not want to stop until I found out how the relationship would or would not work out. Also, I love that the stories are both set in NC!!! Love my state😻

In the Eye of the Storm
From a workaholic, to a stormy weekend and a woman who was pushed to far, this story grabbed my attention immediately. It has the characters that are so relatable, the dialogue that keeps me engaged and the bit of angst that kept me turning page to page to see what would happen. The romance between the two is prevalent right away and apparently always was as the two friends and co-workers kept asking about it! I loved how both characters had dialogue that showed their internal thoughts and concerns throughout their journey. I did want to shake them both at times, but mainly because I just wanted to scream talk to him/her so that they could get on the same page! As with many SC stories there were some life lessons about being careful what you wish for and the importance of communication...and also taking time to look around you to see what and how life is going! Fun story and would love to see more of the two friends..especially Will!

Catering to the CEO
I loved this story. I found this story to be engaging, funny, sweet, emotional and a great discussion on the serious health issue of endometriosis. This story does also follow a CEO, but here both characters own their own business and are both headstrong. What was really neat in this story, was that it was not friends in the background, but rather family. I was surprised how much I enjoyed this story because for quite a while into the story I was not a fan of Adam, at all. However, the way that SC wrote his scenes where he was made aware of his behavior, cared for Cassie, opened up to family, etc. made me change my mind. I also would love to see/visit/live in that beach house. I do think Cassie forgave a bit too easily in her scenarios, but I thought it also worked beautifully for their story and personalities! Can’t wait to read more SC stories!

Book one focuses on a classic boss and assistant fall in love. Book two has a powerful CEO falling for his caterer. These books fit perfectly together as both have strong, powerful men falling for women under their authority. The women are strong and not willing to give up their pride.

Holly has been working for Stephen for 3 years. She has been working long hours, taking little to no time off and answering his calls nights and weekends. She is tired. Holly likes her job but needs Stephen to accept some boundaries unless this storm brings them even closer.

Adam runs his business with an iron fist. His employees cower and scurry. Cassie has been catering his events for the last two years and has had enough of his bad attitude. This account may help her achieve her business goals but her sanity is more important. This event will either be a not so fond farewell, or the start of something a little more personal.

Women go crazy for a sharp dressed man, but in the case of Holly and Cassie a sharp tongue cramps his style. There will be fireworks. Stephen and Adam are about to learn how to charm a woman by two fierce and fiery teachers. Passionate personalities, heartstopping attraction and that brand of Samantha Chase swag makes the duet of In the Eye of the Storm and Catering to the CEO the treat that keeps on giving.

In the Eye Of The Storm – Stephen is the demanding billionaire boss who expects his assistant to be at his beck and call even if it means picking him up from a bar at 2 am to give him a ride home through a storm. The storm escalates and she finds herself stuck at him home so she gives him a piece of her mind which sparks the chemistry between them but what happens when they return to work on Monday?

Catering To The CEO – Adam is a successful businessman who is trying to change the menu for an event with no notice, again! Cassandra has just about had enough of this difficult client and the fireworks erupt with neither expecting to see the other again but things take a turn when they find out their parents are getting married.

I enjoyed these two novella about two demanding bosses and the women that put them in their place. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

In the Eye of the Storm
*4 Stars*

I love a good workplace romance and I LOVE when a couple is stranded during a storm and forced to confront feelings they have been suppressing or ignoring, so you know I really enjoyed this story.

Stephen and Holly had great chemistry and I loved seeing them give into their feelings while still trying to maintain a professional work environment.

If you’re looking for a sweet, quick read I highly recommend picking this one up.

Catering to the CEO
*3.5 Stars*

I enjoyed this read but I have to admit, I’m still not a big fan of Adam’s. I understand he has trust issues because of his money but I didn’t like how he always lashed out at Cassie when he had fears or doubts. I’m also not really that happy with the way he interacted with her family and the extent he went to try to win her over in the end. I wish we could have seen how everything played out with her family at the end because I would’ve liked to have seen him a little more uncomfortable with his own behavior. That being said, I didn’t hate him and I actually think he and Cassie make a pretty great couple.

Two classic romances by Samantha Chase in one book. Both are employee boss relationship.

In the Eye of the Storm, a slow burning romance that takes place in a storm on a weekend but then for Stephen and Holly to go back to work like nothing happened. Stephen is a workaholic and Holly has always been at his beck and call but with the help of his friends they might be able to weather out the storm. Great characters that I could identify with.

Catering to the Ceo, Adam is all business and Cassie is a caterer, finally Cassie has had enough of his behavior and tells him so. Soon things will change when they find out they are going to be a family, as their parents are going to get married. Adam has no interest in finding love, but can not always fight the chemistry between him and Cassie. Loved, loved Adam, to see how he changes through out this story makes my heart swell. Love enemies who fall in love.

I highly recommend these classic love stories, a little steam but still sweet.

Two wonderful romances in one book by a fantastic author – what more could you want?!

Samantha Chase has done it yet again. There is not one story from her that I have not fallen in love with. Samantha has an incredible gift in her ability to grab the reader from the first page. Her words paint such a beautiful picture in our mind, it makes the reader feel like they are a part of the story, that they are intimately involved with the characters. Her words so genuine and heartfelt, you feel the emotions the characters feel.

In The Eye of the Storm we have the story of Holly and Stephen. Holly has been Stephen’s assistant for three years. In those years, neither of them have ever crossed the employer/employee line. They haven’t seen each other in those terms. After a fight with his friends that leaves Stephen stranded at 2am, he calls Holly for assistance. As always, she comes to his aid, only to be stranded at his house due to a terrible storm. Emotions are high, truths are told, and the chemistry is as powerful as the storm brewing outside. You seriously need to get a copy to see what happens next!

In Catering to the CEO we have Adam and Cassie’s tempestuous story. Cassie has provided the catering for Adam’s company’s gathering for the past few years. As he angrily demand changes to the menu after the cut-off date, Cassie has had enough, stands her ground, and walks out - essentially losing the contract. Without going any farther as to not give away the story, this is definitely one you want to check out!

As I said above – two fantastic stories wrapped up in one amazing book. You need to get this, you will not be disappointed!

This duo book, was fantastic! Samantha Chase incorporated her magic touch once more in both In the Eye of the Storm & Catering to the CEO. These novellas were engaging from the first page and onward. I couldn't stop reading them. The characters made me believe that love is still in existence. Sometimes, it comes in a surprise or takes a long waiting period, but it's so worth the wait. These two stories were worth waiting for...the characters are easy to connect with and easy to love. Both the males and females made me laugh hard. Their struggles were real. Stubborn yet determined these duo set of characters were perfect. I loved how Mother Nature had a slight role in bringing together one couple in - In the Eye of the Storm. The male character was so obtuse at times, I wanted to smack him and say, open your eyes and your eyes! Overall, there was action, romance, and life issues to follow in these books. Samantha Chase you are a genius in the contemporary romance fiction...I loved these! I highly recommend them to readers everywhere.

What is better than one book by one of your favorite authors?? How about two? This duo is two of Samantha Chase’s earlier books. When they were written, I hadn’t discovered her as an author yet. I was excited to get the opportunity to now. While I can certainly say her writing has come along since these were written, they still have the heart and soul that I have come to know from her later books. It is an amazing thing to see how much an author has grown in her writing journey. Definitely was worth the read!

What is better than a Samantha Chase book??? How about two books in one??

I have read many of Samantha’s books and I can see how her writing has matured since this book was written. Both stories were a quick short read but enjoyable all the same.

In the Eye of the Storm- Holly is an administrative assistant who is madder than mad when she is called at 2 am to pick up her boss, Stephen who is stranded without a ride. She picks him up and gives him a piece of her mind all the way to his house. To make matters worse, a rain storm to beat all storms has closed all the roads and Holly is unable to leave to go home.

Their relationship has always been nothing but professional …. But being trapped together may just change that into something more personal. Stephen is a work-aholic whose company has become his life but spending time with Holly away from the office slowly makes him realize what he has been missing.

Catering to the CEO- Cassie is an accomplished caterer who owns a successful catering business. She has catered events for Adam, a demanding perfectionist CEO in the past and has just about reached her limit with his surly unpleasant attitude. She agrees to cater one more event before calling it quits with him and his company.

With each page of the story, their passion for their jobs as well as for each other becomes evident. I started out really disliking Adam but found myself liking him by the end. Cassie and Adam belonged together and watching them realize that fact was fun to watch.

What a wonderful combination of stories. In the first book, In The Eye of the Storm, we meet Holly and Stephen. Holly has worked for Stephen for years. This is an easy read to enjoy on a rainy or snowy weekend. In the second book, Catering to the CEO, it was an ok story for me. I am not big into making deals and someone being forceful.

Great idea to combine the two stories and have another keeper on your shelf.

A double win in my book…
Are you looking for a wonderful romance to read? Well guess what? You will be doubly surprise with this outstanding book, you get two, YES TWO wonderful stories to read in the latest release by the incomparable Samantha Chase. These two books are both to some extent, office romances.
Eye of the Storm
Holly has secretly had a crush on her incredibly handsome, ever demanding boss. However, when he calls her at 2 A.M. to pick him up from a bar in the middle of a tropical storm… well, she has had enough, he has gone too far this time. Then the unthinkable happens, and she is stuck with him at his home for several days because of storm damage. Then, she learns why he was stranded at the bar at 2 in the morning. Let me just say this Derek is an a…. PG, PG. Let me put it this way, with Stephen having “friends” like Derek, who needs enemies? Derek is a TOTAL DOUCH!!! I loved watching these two fall in love, in SPITE of Derek the DOUCH. Ms. Chase will Stephen’s good friend ever have his story told?????? Please.
Catering to the CEO
Speaking of Douchery… Only this time it is the hero Adam Lawrence. He thinks just because he owns the company, he can treat people like slaves, always wanting his own way, even when he is wrong!!! This time he has met his match in Cassie Jacobs. She owns the catering company that is catering his latest company teambuilding event and Adam wants to change the menu…AGAIN! But this time it is within 2 weeks of the event and supplies for the event have already been orders. This time Cassie can tell Adam NO as per the contract he signed. Adam will show Cassie, he plans on finding another caterer.
Well the joke is on him, when he finds out that his mother is marrying Cassie’s father.
I LOVED watching Cassie and Adam work through their problems. Reading how once Adam really got to know Cassie how his feelings change for her.
Both phenomenal books were easy to read and emotional books for me. They both had the aww factor, and well as the aggravation factor. That is one thing that I love about Ms. Chase’s books, I know that I will have hours and hours of reading enjoyment any time I pick up one of her books. Only, this time I got 2 stories in one book.
Thank you SC/KJB for my gift of this book.
If you like to relax with a great romance read this book is certainly for you. So what are you waiting for, go hit that one click button and enjoy this book.
Thank you for reading my review.

In the Eye of the Storm / Catering to the CEO by Samantha Chase

In the Eye of the Storm

Wow! Samantha Chase really knows how to write a good story. She has an amazing and unique writing style that I just love. Samantha Chase knows just what her readers want and look for in a book and she always delivers. She has realistic characters with realistic and relatable struggles.

In the Eye of the Storm we meet Holly and Stephen. Holly has worked for Stephen for three years as his assistant. Holly really is an asset to Stephen and business. Stephen classic workaholic. Stephen doesn't notice life has passed him by until he and Holly come together due to a bad storm.

I really did enjoy reading this story. I found myself laughing just a bit and even having those heart swooning moments. I really love the chemistry that both Stephen and Holly have for each other. As you read In the Eye of the Storm you discover that while a storm pulled them to be together there was always an underlying storm just below the surface. You see that Holly and Stephen care for each other. I found myself disliking Derek just a bit. While this is more of a novella it is amazing. This is unique because it had me laughing, crying, getting mad and heart swooning all in one story and nothing is better than that. Samantha Chase really has done it again and I say Kudos to her!

Catering to the CEO

In Catering to the CEO we meet Cassie and Adam. From the very first page you can feel the emotion and see the chemistry. Cassie is a very dedicated and hard-working caterer and Adam is the CEO of his business. Cassie has had enough of Adam's rude and demanding and constantly changing attitude. She has decided enough is enough. However she soon realizes that she is far from done with Adam due to her dad ad Adam's mom getting engaged. I must admit at first I did not like Adam. I believed he was a real jerk. However as the story developed I began to like him a little more.

I love this story. Samantha Chase brought two realistic people together with relatable struggles. Adam and Cassie just sizzled with chemistry. I found myself laughing a bit and really having heart swooning moments as well as me getting real mad. Catering to the CEO is unique in the aspect that you get a hated character whom you end up living and rooting for. Not many authors can pull that type of romance off but Samantha Chase has. Even though this was a short romance it never failed to keep me turning the page. I only wish it were longer. Samantha can make you want more. i really loved how Samantha even brought a more realistic struggle for Cassie and that struggle made my heart melt and feel for her.

In the Eye of the Storm / Catering to the CEO both were perfectly written by an amazing author. Both stories had me from the beginning band had me wanting more at the end. Kudos to Samantha Chase for another great book. I read the entire book in one night and have even read it for a second time it's just that good. A highly recommended and must read for the advid book and romance lover.

In both of these two stories we have domineering, controlling, alpha bosses that don’t see what is right in front of them, as in their perfect match. Until tempers flare and sparks fly. These stories have great, strong heroines who were sweet and caring, as well as being full of spunk and sass. Liked seeing these ladies stand up to their bosses and the emotion and playfulness that will pull at your heartstrings while you root for a HEA.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Samantha Chase is a great writer! Both of these novellas will be hits.

In the Eye of the Storm, Stephen and Holly have worked together for three years in which Holly has had a crush on Stephen but realizes nothing will ever happen. So, she just does her work and seems to admire Stephen from close than most but still at a distance. When Stephen really takes a look at her the night she helps him get home from a bar after fighting with his friends, he starts to see the real Holly. She does not have to wear glasses, but has a small prescription needed for reading. His two friends, Derek and Will, cause a bit of trouble between Holly and Stephen, one unknowingly, one on purpose. The trouble between Holly and Stephen is typical of most couples – communication and trust.

Catering to the CEO, is also a business arrangement, but as contract employee. Cassie and Adam’s story is sweet and quick. Let me start at the end, I love that there was the closeness of family assisting to bring them together. I can’t help but believe Adam may have needed to atone for his treatment of Cassie a bit more. That is hard to do and keep the novella length. So, it does not take away too much from the romance. Adam does a lot of assuming and not enough listening, again – communication and trust issues. For Cassie’s family being so hard on Adam at the beginning, they sure were forgiving at the end. Either way, it was a great HEA.
