Wow. I am always wary when it comes to a new series by an author I love and it's clear that some of her other characters may may an appearance but the author should be proud of herself. I loved this book right from the beginning. You could tell it was going to have lots of emotionally stuff in it with angst, fear and a lot of other emotions. We see Kian doing his job as a trauma surgeon having people lives in his hands. A woman and child come in with stabs wounds and he realise it's someone her knows, his ex girlfriends sister and daughter. Unfortunately she doesn't survive and neither does her unborn baby but her daughter, Lily, does.

In comes Roxie, Liam's ex, looking for her sister and neice. She is told the recasting news of her sister but that her neice is alive and doing well. She meets Kian at Lily's bedside and he alludes to the fact that he is Lily's dad. Pamela told him before she passed. What goes on from there is a roller coaster of emotions for Roxie as she tries to clear her brain that she is now the guardian for her neice, her sister is dead and Kian slept with her sister.

I felt for Roxie with her emotions running all over the place and I could of quite happily of slapped Kian for his domineering ways in the way he treated Roxie. He wanted her and wanted to break her but in the next breath he was cold towards her and it made her feel as though he was just sleeping with her to get his child. What more was she supposed to do apart from run. A dangerous time has come as Roxie fears for her life and the life of her neice as the man who murdered her sister comes back. Can Kian save them in time? Will they get a HEA? A lot of emotional turmoil for the heroine in the book that I wouldn't like to go through. Well done on a great start to what will be a great series. Look forward to reading the next book. I voluntarily reviewed this book as an advanced reader copy

This is my first book Melody Anne, and it was a really good one. It’s the first installment in the Undercover Billionaire series, and this one particular centers around a couple that has history, and a tragic incident brings together again, but will it work this time? Or will there just be more heart break?

Kian Forbes, a surgeon and Roxie Gilbert a nurse, were in a serious relationship a few years back. Roxie up and left, with very little notice, or basically little reason why. Drowning his sorrows and having countless one night stands is how Kian dealt with the hurt of Roxie leaving. One night while working, a young woman and her daughter are brought into the hospital. Kian recognises her as Roxie’s sister. He was unable to save her, but her she dies, she tells him the little girl is his daughter.

These two, are something else. But I’ll start with Roxie, she is a mess, she’s lost her sister tragically, she has a niece she doesn’t know and will now be a mother to, and the man she left behind is the father. It would be a lot for anyone to handle in such a short time. She doesn’t Kian, and it is because of his family and their money. How can she compete with that? What if they try to take Lily, the little girl? I can understand her feelings, but some of the rash decisions she makes just makes me want shake some sense into her. But, I might act the same way if I was in the situation, so…

Now, Kian. He is fierce, loyal, determined and from I can tell, he comes from a long line of strong men who are used to being in charge and certainly not losing. When it comes to Roxie though, it’s different. He genuinely loves her with all hisnheart, even after her leaving and time being out of his life. I couldn’t help but love him after seeing him interact with Lily. It was enough to make your heart melt.

Both Kian and Roxie are so stubborn! Roxie tries to keep her distance, she still loves him. Kian wants her close. Seeing the whole story from both sides was amazing. It was heart breaking to follow them, their feelings, the hurt, the loss was evident. But their love for each other and their love for Lily was something beautiful. And we also did get to meet a couple of Kian’s brothers, so maybe the book will be about one them!

Kian is a heartbreaking but such a beautiful story of second chances at love and family. Fans of contemporary romance who like a little push and oukk, will enjoy this one.

Crazy and passionate story with a lot of heart wrenching moments. Straight from the beginning I couldn’t put this one down. I had to keep reading to find out what was gonna happen next.
A new series about a family of billionaire sons that hopefully will each find love. This was Kian and Roxie super amazing love story. I can’t wait to find out which brother finds love next.
Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

This is the first book in this series (Undercover Billionaire) and my first experience reading this author's work. The blurb really had me excited to read this book and it was a good storyline and I enjoyed it, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped. Let me say that I just finished reading a book that gave me a huge book hangover so that may be why. Kian and Roxie's characters were well developed but I just felt that I would have enjoyed more actual conversations between them instead of reading "about" them. There were portions were the story didn't flow and I was waiting for something to happen, but then at other times it was quite enjoyable. And I really would have enjoyed more dialogue with little Lily -- she was so sweet! That being said, I would still give it a solid 3.5-4 star read for me and I would definitely recommend it. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

Four years ago Roxie Gilbert ran because she could not deal with the intense feelings she had for Kian Forbes. Now her sister has been murdered and she returns to take care of her niece. The one thing she was not counting on was finding out that Kian is the father of her niece after a drunken night with her sister after Roxie ran away without giving him any explanation. Kian is also surprised that he has fathered a child. Now he and Roxie will have to find a way to raise Lily together and deal with the intense feelings that still exists between them. And as usual matchmakers Joseph, Sherman and now Lucian are behind the scenes scheming.

Kian Forbes has just lost a patient, the sister of the only woman he has ever loved, Roxie Gilbert. Roxie's sister is survived by her daughter, who Kian has just learned is his also. Kian knows Roxie will have hard feelings for the one-night stand he had with her sister, but she will just have to get past it now that he has learned about his daughter Lily. Kian wants to be in Lily's life even if it means dealing with Roxie again. What he is not expecting is that he will want Roxie in his life just as bad.

Roxie ran away and left Kian behind when things got serious between them. She is only back in town to take care of her sister's daughter. When she learns Lily is Kian's, she is at a loss. Roxie cannot give Lily up, but she is not so sure she can be around Kian so much. It seems Roxie is in danger of losing her heart all over again. Can her and Kian make things work this time?

Reviewed via NetGalley for honest review. I give Kian by author Melody Anne a 3.5 out of 5 stars! Although it is a contemporary, which is not my favorite romance genre, I have to say that I did like it. I was very close to giving it 4 stars, but I felt like there were some small things that were unresolved in the end. Probably, if Roxie hadn't been so mood-swingy throughout, I could have understood and liked her more. Kian was great though. Yes, he made mistakes, but Roxie kind of left him high and dry and if anything she is the one that did him wrong. What matters is that in the end, they worked out their differences and realized they were always meant to be. I look forward to reading Ms. Anne's next UNDERCOVER BILLIONAIRE novel.

I truly loved the continuation of the matchmaking efforts of Joseph Anderson & his friends. This story while on its own is both heartbreaking & heartwarming continues the matchmaking of Joseph Anderson & he’s done good again. Kian & Roxie are given a second chance at love when brought together by the saddest of circumstances. With the death of Roxie’s sister a secret is released that both shocks & saddens Roxie. Now with both their lives changed forever by this secret they have to find a future that both can deal with. I love how Melody Anne has kept the suspense up throughout the book as well as the intense heat between Kian & Roxie. I enjoyed the quick wit of Kian’s brothers & also the introduction of Evan, Kian’s friend who Kian is seeing as trouble when it comes to Roxie. I laughed & cried throughout this book which is no surprise when I’m reading a book by Melody Anne, her books are truly enjoyable reading. Definitely recommend

Wow what a beautiful read Kian was. I love Melody as a writer. And I loved hearing Joseph meddling again in kids lives.
Kian and Roxie had been together for years: with a promising future ahead when she suddenly upped and moved. 4 years later they are brought together again via her niece Lily.
Reading this story brought tears to my eyes, made me laugh numerous times and overall I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Praise for the author for another great read.

I could not connect to this story at all. The dialogue seemed "heavy" and a little off.

Started out really strong. Had me hooked then it just felt like high school drama with running away from problems and not wanting to talk it out

Roxie is one head strong woman. Kian is one man who gets what he wants. They share a past together. Kian won’t let her run this time..They make for one complicated steamy hot couple. Roxie has issues to work through. Kian is one generous giving man. Loved the way this story played out.

***Spoilers!!***
This a good first book in a series. Kian comes from a wealthy family, but made it on his own through Med-School.
4 years ago the love of his life, Roxie, ran away and did not look back. With no explanation why and feeling down, he sleeps around to make himself forget her.
Now due to tragic circumstances, he finds out he’s a father of a 3-year old and that Roxie is the aunt.
At first he’s angry that he has to share custody, but then he realizes that taking away his daughter could crush Roxie.
For Roxie it takes a while to realize that she still loves Kian and that she, her Niece and Kian could become a family.
Can’t wait for the rest of the Forbes Clan stories!
**I received a copy this book through NetGalley**

Melody Anne is one of those authors that never disappoints her fans. She writes with such purpose and grace that before you even delve into one of her books you know it’s going to be amazing. Kian is just that. Amazing, beautiful and delicious. Loved it and would recommend.

I love how The Anderson meddling has just keep going. Kian is a handsome doctor who captures your heart from the first page. This book starts off with tragedy but sets up for a big reunion of soulmates. Roxie comes back into town when her sister is murdered, the same town she ran from 4 years earlier. I will say I wasn’t a big fan of Roxie until about the last two chapters, but I think that’s because she’s not submissive as most female leads. I do also feel the ending was a little rushed. Overall though a good book and can’t wait for the next one.

I really wanted to love this book, I have loved all of Melody's books. But this one I just couldn't get past how immature Roxie was being throughout the whole book. I could understand her wanting time but she was just so childish. Kian was amazing, he willingly owned up to his mistake and was ready to take responsibility and put up with a lot. I was hoping Roxie would redeem herself but for me she didn't.
