Final Score - 5 Stars!

LA Fiore knows how to keep me engrossed with her writing - I simply could not put this book down! Her unique style of story telling is refreshing, superb and addicting. SAVAGE is such a novel - as it was breathtaking to read - from the heartbreaking beginning to its climatic end. And once I started on my journey, I had to push through to the conclusion.

Savage starts out with a devastating loss that effects the lives as well as sets a tone that flows throughout the book. Its sets up the rest of the book for a beautiful, yet broken story of darkness, haunting pasts and an uncertain future. The book feels like a paranormal romance - which its totally NOT - as the underlying tone is dark, mysterious and loaded with suspense and drama. This is not your ordinary romance! It's wicked, hot and oh so sexy.

The hero - if you'd like to call him that - of this story is Brochan. He comes across as broken, yet he's actually fierce, intense and all alpha! I totally feel in love with his brand of He's wickedness and dirty sexy times. But it was his immediate connection with Lizzie - the heroine - which has firmly implanted him in my heart. Together, these two are combustible - scorching HAWT. Their story reads as not only relateable, but believable as well.

Adding to the mix are the most perfect side cast of characters I've ever had the pleasure of reading. This is a story that has been built in the most imaginable way possible. Everything put together just worked! A true masterpiece. I've very quickly become a huge fan of L.A.s writing and this book just solidifies that feeling. I can't wait to read what she cooks up next!

OH MY HEAVENS!! THIS BOOK you guys! I was completely enthralled by it and didn't want to put it down. I was consumed by Lizzie and Brochan's journey. Their story is sweet, sad, sexy, and has ALL THE FEELS! I enjoyed the way the reader is introduced to these characters and we see how their pasts have shaped them to be the people they are today. You might find some things maddening, but throughout this book, L.A. Fiore makes sure the reader's heart goes out to both Lizzie and Brochan. I enjoyed the twists and the turns this book took. So I'm trying really hard here not to tell you anything and ruin this read for you. Just know you will not want to get anything done if you have to put this book down! I devoured this read and it's one that stayed with me well after I finished THE END. And let's not forget the beautiful graphics found in this book. And I loved the ease in which the reader knows whose point-of-view the story is being told from as it flips back and forth. I was entranced by this story and couldn't love it more. I HIGHLY recommend this read!

SAVAGE by L. A. Fiore is the story of Brochan and Lizzie.
Please make sure you understand that this is a Dark Romance and is not for everyone. I happen to like them and this was a really good one. I was happy to find this book.
Both Brochan and Elizabeth (Lizzie) started with a hard and sad life. Their lives never really got better I think until they meet. They both had so much to overcome from their past and present. But when these two halves come together this made into a great dark romance story.
Ms. Fiore writing is new to me but after reading this book I hope to find more of her books.

First I just have to say that this cover is amazing! Those pale blue eyes are hypnotizing. I would buy this book just for that cover.

L.A. Fiore has such a gift of taking you to a new place and creating magic like no one else. I saw it in her book "Waiting for the One" when she took us to Maine or when she took us on a high sea adventure in "Elusive." She works that magic once again in "Savage" by taking us to beautiful Scotland.

Her imagery in the landscape, the castles, the small town feel with all the wonderful small town characters really made this story stand out. But that's just the small piece to this story. What really stands out are our main characters, Brochan and Lizzie.

Brochan and Lizzie have had such a sad introduction into life. Learning their tale of what you can only call survival was heartbreaking, but also inspiring. The things these two have had to overcome would crumble most people. There really is nothing better than to read about two people overcome such odds and finding true love in one another.

L.A. Fiore really has done it again! ARC provided by NetGalley.

Savage by LA Fiore… this book absolutely blew me away! I mean, look the cover to start with… don’t you just feel like the cover model is staring into your soul? I swear, he can see right through me and he knows it all!! The colors and his eyes are seriously entrancing! It’s a gorgeous cover, yet, it’s so simple looking! Fiore’s words are just as entrancing as the cover. I was enthralled!

Savage starts out totally brutal and it really sets the pace for the book. It’s deep and intense and pulled me in. Brochan McIntyre has had a rough life… I won’t get into all that but he’s broken. It’s so intense and dark!! His past haunts him and his past saddens me and made my heart ache for him. Lizzie Danton finds herself with an inherited cottage in Scotland (if only) and once she arrives, she finds that she feels a connection, she feels she’s found a place she can call her home.

Brochan is a total enigma… people don’t know what to think of him. Is he a werewolf? People whisper and point. What he is, is broken, he’s reserved and keeps to himself. I’ll tell ya… I’ve never been to Scotland, I’ve never researched it or anything and I suck and geology… but I felt like Fiore totally brought me to Scotland!! I felt like I got to live it through Lizzie’s eyes… it’s like having a child and experiencing life over through them. I loved it! The foods, the foreign language, the views of the land. It was a masterpiece! Fiore told a magically story of a place that seems like a dream and two people who deserve more than they’ve ever had!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

This is a dark, intense, powerful and magical story, which is brutal and with twists, which kept me totally captivated from the very beginning. Lizzie and Brochan are both broken souls, who work hard to overcome their dark childhoods. The chemistry between these two is smouldering. No spoilers; this is a must read for all lovers of dark stories, you will not be disappointed!
This author has written an amazing storyline, which is written in a different style from the usual style of this authors’ work, but don’t let that deter you in any way. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all readers.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book!

First, I am going to say that this is a dark romance. You should have caught that by the blurb, but in case you didn't, this is a dark romance...and, it holds to the idea that not all romance is flowers and rainbows...that sometimes the flowers in the romance also have thorns, and those flowers are great too...but they are different.

I love dark romance. The darker the better, if the hero is a killer, in the mafia, anything like that...bring it. So, the blurb had me dying to read this one even before the author had finished writing it. Now that I have finished, I wish I could start it over.

LA Fiore has a talent for writing the character who isn't the "perfect" hero. Twisted, a little damaged, with skeletons and ghosts in his past. But, the ride watching these men fall in love, well, there isn't a better ride out there.

I loved this book. I sent more than one PM to the author as I was reading (sorry about that, Ms. Fiore, LOL) and I was sad to see it end.

Brochan is sexy, and mysterious, and swoon worthy. And damaged. But, you still like him.

Lizzie is interesting, and you like her, and loyal and caring. And damaged.

It is that they are both just a little damaged that really makes them work. They relate to one another, Lizzie understands why he does the things he does, and more important than that, in Lizzie, Brochan is finally able to find someone who he believes sees him. Once he opens up to this possibility, there are all sorts of things going on in the world that he realizes he has never let himself see.

Telling what those things are would be a spoiler...and I would hate to do that.

At its core, this is a fairy tale with its share of beasts, and magic, and castles and damsels, and villains and most of all, a hero who doesn't know until the story gets close to ending that he is in a fairy tale and he is worthy of that happy ending.

I recommend this title.

I always get a little apprehensive when It comes to a fairytale retelling BUT Savage was everything I never knew I needed.
Growing up Beauty and The Beast was one of my favourite fairytale and Savage is like a grown up version of it. I loved this book!

It’s so cliché to keep going on and on about loving a book but I swear…this one was magic!

Brochan (pronounced Brogan) is a loner who lives in a castle in Scotland. Lizzie is an artist who lives in New York City. Fate brings them together and BOOM! we get to read the epic fairytale retelling of a modern beauty and the beast. Savage is dark, it’s intense, it’s hypnotic and damaged in the most beautiful way.

Saying Brochan is intense is an understatement. He is broody, kinda temperamental and a loner. Lizzie is innocent yet strong, she’s inquisitive and optimistic. Both are talented and damaged in their own way.

I loved this book…from the Moors of Scotland to Scottish superstition and folklore.
From a Castle with a dark and twisted past to a love story that will make your heart flutter one minute and skip a beat the next. Savage is beautiful and has a surprisingly unexpected climax that will leave you speechless.

Well let me start by saying I don't consider myself to be the biggest fan of dark romance. The circumstances, and if I'm being honest, the author has to be just right for me to read it. I'm so, so glad I read this book from L.A. Fiore. I've enjoyed works from this author in the past and loved this book as well.

This book? I'm not even sure where to begin. It's such a rich story, both in dialogue and setting. I couldn't help but be sucked in when I started reading.

This wasn't always an easy book to read. There was plenty of heartache to go around for sure. But there was more than that. There was healing and love-and the journey these two took to get there was amazing. It wasn't smooth, it wasn't easy, but it was right for them.

I loved both the hero and the heroine in this book. Lizzie had some fire to her and she was so smart, and she had such a big heart. Brochan definitely was intriguing to me from the start. Sexy, hot, and haunted? Major swoon. I believed in these two together. Their connection felt and seemed very real to me.

While this book broke my heart in spots, it filled it to bursting in others. I don't want to spoil anything so I'm not going to get too in depth about that. It was so well written, so dynamic. I know this is one I'll still be thinking about for a long time to come. I loved this book and recommend it!

I’ve thought about how to review this book and I can’t figure it out. This book was a journey. We start with heart ache, then we slowly move on to something beautiful. It wasn’t easy, there were moments where I had to stop reading because it got to be too much, not in a bad way, but in the way that I was giggling, or sometimes my heart was breaking. The author invoked of wide range of emotions in each chapter. But hope was the main feeling that I felt throughout the whole story.

The author picked such an amazing setting for this book. Scotland isn’t a place I have read a lot about in past books but the author stayed very true when it came to describing the setting and the feel. It comes of as magical in a way that I can’t describe. This book felt like its own brand of fairytale. Maybe felt a little like beauty and the beast, but mainly it had its own feel.

The characters were amazing. I really don’t want to go into too much about them, because your idea of them shouldn’t be clouded by other readers Experiences, just experienced for your self, but I will say, that sometimes we are a product of our circumstances, or sometimes we can look at the glass half full instead of half empty.

I’m just going to stop now because my rambling wants to keep going but I will say that this book was beautiful and worth the journey to get to the end. Watching these characters change before my eyes is something I’ll never forget and it will be added to my top reads of 2017! 5 Stars #2OCCJD

Received an ARC at no cost to author on behalf of netgalley this was such a heartwrenching book. The abuse that two individuals went thru as kids will literally break your heart. It was wonderful to read tgat both Brogen and Lizzie were able to find each and fight their demons, and they had some really horrible ones. They were able to help each other heal and finally have some hope. Beautiful love story, but have tissues handy.

Bloody fantastic L.A. Fiore knows how to destroy me, her books always make me feel things and her characters are always so well written and fleshed out.
Brochan and Lizzie's story honestly touched me they both had so much darkness and they managed to find some light in each other.
The plot kept me hooked and I loved every moment of it!

***5 ‘Be The Voice In The Dark’ Stars***

This book hooked me from the first page, shoved me down the rabbit hole and made it so I didn't want to claw my way out and instead wanted to stay in there all nice and cozy like. I loved the slow burn, Beauty and the Beast inspired journey Lizzie and Brochan went on, even the parts that I desperately wanted to faster, and loved getting to know not only them but those who mattered the most in their world. I must admit I was a little pissed when those two words, The End, showed up because I needed more words. I didn't want to leave Lizzie and Brochan, I wanted more time with them and those they called family.

I pretty much fell in love with both Brochan and Lizzie from the first time we met and that feeling grew into adoration before I was a quarter of the way done with the book. Their childhoods left a lot to be desired, and my heart hurt for them, but it was interesting to see the paths they chose to walk because of it. There were similarities and yet they both looked at life in very different ways. But what they both had in common was seeing the gray area and working with it as well as looking out for those they called their own.

Brochan and Lizzie’s journey to their HEA may just be one of my favorites by Ms. Fiore. It is a definite slow building one, but so much goodness happens while they work out and through their own
demons and come to accept that there is something more than just physical attraction between them...and there is A LOT that they have in common. Their interactions had me grinning and even when I wasn’t, because there are THOSE moments too, I knew that they simply belonged together. When the smexy does hit, it’s intense, but it’s because of all the time they’ve spent together. A pothole does waylay them on their journey to their HEA, but I loved how it all worked out and the surprises that came because of it.

Savage may just be my favorite (so far) of all the books I’ve read by Ms. Fiore. I haven’t read them all and I know more are coming, but this one just worked for me. Part of it is the fact that the romance has a Beauty and the Beast feel to it, which is my favorite trope, and how she made it her own. The secondary cast of characters were very well written. I fell in love with the good ones and wanted to gut the baddies with a spoon, but they were are interesting. And then there are the little plot twists and turns throughout the story that kept me on my toes and even had me doing the whole “Whoa! WTF?!?!” when they happened. Some connections I figured out, but there were others that I never saw coming. There are triggers so be prepared and the pacing got a little slow for me towards the end, but I understood why and in the end it was all worth it. So, if you’re like the Beauty and the Beast trope and love well developed characters that you can’t get enough of, then this is a definite must read for you!

I am going to start by saying this was a really pretty book. The little graphics before each chapter were a nice touch. That said it was also a really enjoyable book. The writing was fantastic. It had a bit of an atmospheric fairytale quality to it. The pace was OK. I found it maybe a smidge too long and slow at times. The plot was engaging and kept me turning the pages. The mystery aspect was good, but I think it could have been a bit more fleshed out. Along with Brochan's profession. I loved the setting (Scotland). It was heartbreaking at times. It was feel good at times. It made me cry. It made me smile. There wasn't any OW/OM drama, but there was an OW sex scene that takes place before the hero and heroine meet. That type of thing can be iffy for me. It depends on how picky I am being and if the OW causes problems going forward. In this case, I wasn't overly bothered by it. I didn't find it particularly angsty. The sex scenes were fairly hot but not erotica level detailed. The secondary characters were intriguing and added some good depth to the story.

Both the main characters were amazing. I ADORED Lizzie. She was smart. She was a fighter. She was feisty. She had a huge heart and accepted everything that was Brochan without censor or hesitation. She was honestly one of the best heroines I have read all year. Brochan was a bit more complicated. He had that sexy, brooding thing down to a science. At times I wanted to smack him so hard, and at other times I wanted to squeeze the stuffing out of him. That said, I understood why he behaved the way he did, and I couldn't help falling in love with him myself. Both these characters backgrounds will break your heart but that made them perfect for each other and the ending that much sweeter. Lastly, this was all wrapped up in a wonderful epilogue that will leave you all warm and fuzzy and with a smile on your face. Nothing left to say, this one gets two solid thumbs up from yours truly.

Still can't believe that I was selected to read this amazing book before the release. It's my first book from L.A. Fiore and I simply loved it. ♥

"He’s hard.
He’s damaged.
He’s dangerous.
He lives in a castle fit for a fairy tale, but he’s no prince.
He’s savage.
He’s brutal.
He’s a killer."
And he's everything I want after reading this book.

Let's just say this book blow me away. The best dark romance I read this year. The characters were perfect amazing and the chemestry was pure fire. I almost died with the suspens; every page was a magical, but dark, mistery that involves you and L.A. Fiore has a way with words that left me crying of happines.

Everbody is a little fucked up. Not every journey is easy. And you may have not found the missing pieces, but this book is going to show you that happines is in the most unexpected place.

FIVE EFFING STARS!!!! ★★★★★

"Bent, not broken."

I'm a huge fan of this author's work. There's always at least one broken character and lots of twists and turns and surprises in her stories. I can't resist a broken bad boy, and even though several characters tell Brochan that he's just bent, not broken , I can see how he might disagree. But there's no denying that love has the power to heal, and in spite of the horrors he's faced there are still tiny cracks where light might find a way in. Not that he was willing, but even in the dark he heard her voice. Because she was in the dark too.

Wow! Savage was different. Mystical, dark and dreamy with castles and dungeons, and stories of monsters and werewolves. The locals steer clear of Brochan, afraid of him and the danger his very presence instills. The rumors surrounding him and the ruins of his past are scary and intriguing. Will his cold presence and his vacant ice blue eyes be enough to keep her from digging deeper into the past that he wants to keep buried? Not likely, since she's not afraid of the dark. It seems to me like it's him that has something to be afraid of. She keeps turning up where she's not wanted. She thinks the ridiculous speculations about him are funny. When she learns the truth, she doesn't run. Her artist's eyes see more than he wants her to, below the surface, through the pain. He can't hide the monster, and she doesn't want him to. She, "Kept finding the good in the bad and the beauty in the ugly."

Their pasts and their pain drew them together somehow. "We were bound by something stronger than lust and desire, even heartache and pain. We had both survived." But were they strong enough to do more than survive? Could they allow themselves to hope for more and risk losing it? Were they broken or just bent?

What a thought-provoking journey the author took me on. I can't imagine living through what these characters survived. Even as I experienced it through the pages, inside their heads and their hearts, it broke me. I was so invested, mentally reaching and striving, willing them to find closure and happiness. As I turned the last page, I was exhausted, feeling like a survivor myself. That's why I keep coming back again and again, always ready for whatever the author has for me next. The line forms here...

Where there is darkness, there is light and L.A. Fiore wrote a story full of both. Savage is a story of fighting your own demons and chasing hope through love. A contemporary romance with a dark fairytale vibe set in the majestic Scotland. I fell in love with the characters and the vividly described scenery.
Lizzie and Brochan have one thing in common; they have endured so much pain and their pasts haunt them. They have been rejected, abused and abandoned. They live in the darkness but fate brings them together and they learn how to trust and love again.
Lizzie is an artist who despite her difficult upbringing remains optimistic and a fighter. She is loyal and a great friend. Brochan is a man cool, a little damaged and mysterious. He is intense and all alpha male. Though they have a different attitude, they understand each other. Their attraction is sizzling but their broken parts of their souls bring them closer.
This is not a paranormal romance but the eerie scenery and the writing of this author makes this book touched by magic. This is a passionate fairytale with a beast, a damsel and evil that threatens their happiness.
Lizzie might be the artist but this author has painted raw pictures of this couple’s journey of finding redemption, forgiveness and love. Scotland has worked almost as a real character that fills the story beautifully. The secondary characters compliment it even further.
This is a love story born from the debris of this couple’s painful past. I adored this book and I am so impressed by L.A. Fiore. I cannot wait for more!

Such an amazing book, I was so blown away by this one. There were so many twist and turns in this one, I just couldn't put it down. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading. I loved the connection between Brochan and Lizzie, it was deep and passionate. Just an amazing story and definitely needs more than five stars, I highly recommend this one.

WOW!!! What an amazing journey L.A. Fiore has given us in this book. I say journey because this story was so much more than just a love story. It was a story about two people who went through some really horrible stuff but in the end still come out on the lighter side of the darkness.

I don’t want to say too much about this storyline because this is a book that needs to unfold itself for every reader. Just know this book is slightly dark, raw and gritty, but it did have it’s lighthearted times and definitely its romance and sexy times. This book truly had it all. As a reader I found myself laughing at times, crying, yelling, sitting on the edge of my seat and even swooning at times. I loved all the emotions this book brought out of me. This is definitely one of my favorite reads this year!!!

“Even in the ugly there is beauty.”

That quote stood out to me while I was reading this story. Because it is so true!!! You’ll understand this better after reading Brochan and Lizzie’s story. Be warned some of the material in this book is kind of hard to read, but I loved that Ms. Fiore didn’t get to overly graphic in this book. What she was able to do was make me feel everything Lizzie and Brochan felt. My heart broke so many times for these two characters.

Brochan is a loner who grew up and lives in a castle in Scotland. Lizzie is also a loner who is an artist who lives in New York City. But some small twist of fate….Lizzie goes to Scotland, only to have her life changed forever. Brochan is kind of dark and consider a Monster by the towns people, but not to Lizzie. She actually sees him for who he really is down deep. Can Brochan and Lizzie be each others savior?? Can these two find a HEA?? Read this book to find out.

The writing of this story was perfection. I loved all the details L.A.Fiore put into her descriptions of Scotland. She made me feel like I was actually there and could totally picture all of the scenery. The flow and pace of the story was perfect as well. We are given just enough information without it dragging the story out, but helped us with the connection to the characters. I also loved that she added an suspenseful aspect to the story….it kept me turning the pages so fast that I didn’t want to put the book down. She kept throwing new surprises at me when I least expected them. So GOOD!!!!!

What I love the most about a L.A Fiore book is just how unique and different they are from all other books I have read or even from her previous books. I am always in awe of how she can come up with some of these stories. Truly a brilliant literary mind!!!

I would recommend you read any and all of L.A. Fiore’s books, but if she is new to you then starting with Savage is a great place to start. It is a standalone novel told in Dual POV. It is a complete story with NO Cliffhanger. It is the perfect introduction to this authors writing. And if you have read her books before then you know how AMAZING this book is and you don’t want to miss reading it!!!!

I loved Lizzie, there was just something so innocent about her, "she muttered something then asked, “Why are the villagers freaked out by you?” She turned in her seat to face me. “They think you’re a werewolf.” Brochan is like an onion the many has many layers, “if I come in, we won’t be leaving today or tomorrow…for the whole effing week. If you’re okay with that…” He stepped into the room." Brochan says the sweetest things, "he yanked me close and whispered in my ear, “I’m not sneaking around my own house to eff my woman. You’re in my bed.” I devored this book, I am so in love with Brochan.
