This is well written and flows well but I did guess the twist right from the beginning. I have read some books by this author before and really enjoyed those too.

This is the first time the I read a book , about DID. I liked the fact that the author wrote about other psychiatric problems like alcoholism. Totally worth ☆☆☆☆☆ Thanks to Netgalley, for this free copy. My opinion is my own.

As a huge Tammy Falkner fan I just knew What She Didn't know would be truly amazing yet also devastating.

Going right into it I knew right away Tammy was on to something brilliant. The twists and turns are thrown at you right and left while reading. I won't go into to many details, but all I have to say this book is built on love!

AMAZING READ!

I have to admit that I almost didn't read this book but I'm so glad i did. From a few reviews I read I guessed what was happening but I still enjoyed the story. I have read all of Tammy's books and this one was totally different. I couldn't stop reading it. Loved it!

***I received this advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review***

I remember the first book I read where the character had DID, Tell Me Your DreamsI enjoyed it so much and it left such an impact that whenever I come across a book/movie featuring a character with DID, I always read/watch it.

This book was predictable. After the first few pages I had an idea what was going on. Lynn, the wife of the MC Mason, has disappeared. He tries reaching out to her "friends" and they tell him she is fine and just sorting things out. They drop subtle hints and some not so subtle hints about the reason she's gone but it went over Mason's head. He IS a shrink, I wondered how good he was with his patients if he misses the most obvious things.

As I mentioned, I like reading books and characters with DID but this book was a bit difficult for me to believe. Psychiatry is not my field of expertise but the books, journals and movies I have seen don't have all the alter as intelligent as Lynn's alters. I expected a regressed character so to see them being adults and totally fine was a bit surprising. I will read some more and find out if this is usual.

The other ting I had issues with was Mason sleeping with all the alters. I know they are in one body but they were different people mentally. I consider that cheating. He had sex with the different alters and told them to keep it a secret because "What Lynn doesn't know won't hurt her" He knew what he was doing was wrong yet he kept doing it anyways. It know it was an unorthodox relationship but it rubbed me the wrong way especially considering that after he finishes having sex with them he asks about Lynn, it was distasteful. That's the same thing as sleeping with a character's twin IMO considering the author went to the effort of telling us that the alters are as different as light and day from each other. They look alike but think differently so they are different people. I wonder if she had had a male alter if he would have had sex with him too. Lynn tried to give him a pass by saying she doesn't consider it cheating since he's having sex with ALL of her but again, I think it was. I'm usually not gone-ho about cheating but this one was just icky.

The end left a lot to be desired. It was a fairy tale ending , totally unrealistic and it did not help me like this book any more.

4 Stars!!

I couldn't put this down. Such an intriguing look inside the mind of mental illness. Mason's love for Lynn was so heartwarming, but at times his actions made me wonder. The blurb was a little deceiving, so I kept waiting for the shoe to drop. Unfortunately, when the twist was revealed, I was hoping for something more.

I still loved the relationships Mason formed and thought he was truly selfless in giving his love. It was difficult to see Lynn's background play out, but it was very subtle. Nothing was graphically described, but I wouldn't have minded more description to show a clear picture.

Overall, I really enjoyed the story and will read more from this author.

Thank you NetGalley!!!

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

I usually stick to strictly romance books so I was not expecting this different kind of romance book, and at the beginning, I didn't like or understand Mason! I started to suspect the situation Mason was experiencing but then later there was a twist that I did not see coming!

I don't want to give away any spoilers as this book really needs to be read straight through for the best effect. I normally give in to temptation and read the ending of a book but in this case I did not and it was a good decision. If I did go to the ending, I would have been really confused and it is really important to see Mason's progression and not jump ahead!

The best part of this book was seeing how much Lynn and Mason loved each other and the sacrifices that they each made for that love.

Thank you, Netgalley and the author for my free e-copy of What She Didn't Know in exchange for my honest-to-goodness review.

I almost didn't read the blurb for this one because I am not a fan of the cover. The title is the only reason I clicked to learn more. Even with the meh cover, I was absolutely intrigued. Then I was scared.

I will admit that I had this story figured out super quick, within the first 5 Kindle pages, but the author got me in one aspect till closer to the end. Even though I had predicted it, I still thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. I didn't skim or skip and it was nice to be surprised by that one small thing.

I love Lynn and all her friends. Even Ash. Shelley took some getting used to even if she didn't present herself till later. Mason as a hero of the story is a strong man. It takes a lot to be able to do what he's done and stay mostly sane.

Wow! What a wild and crazy read! This book tumbled me about until I wasn’t sure where I was going to land. And I loved every minute of it.

Mason’s wife Lynn is missing. He’s beside himself trying to find her. When he connects with one of her friends, he has hopes she will be able to help him locate her. What follows is a path unlike any I’ve read before.

It is much better if you go into this blind. Don’t read reviews, just step in and do it. If you like your romance with some twisty turns, uncertainties and a great deal of suspense, this is going to be the book you’ll want to read.

I’m wondering how the heck this author ever came up with this craziness!
