4.25 stars-- UNDONE BY YOU is the third instalment in Kate Meader’s contemporary, adult CHICAGO REBELS erotic, romance series focusing on three estranged sisters-Harper Chase, Isobel Chase and Violet Vasquez- who recently inherited the struggling NHL hockey franchise the Chicago Rebels. This is Rebels’ new GM thirty-five year old Dante Moretti, and twenty-thre year old defenseman Cade ‘Alama’ Burnett. UNDONE BY YOU can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Some of the events of UNDONE BY YOU run parallel to, and cross over with the events of book two IRRESISTIBLE YOU.

NOTE: UNDONE BY YOU is a M/M story line with sexually graphic M/M situations, language and text that may not be suitable for some readers.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Dante and Cade) UNDONE BY YOU follows the forbidden relationship between Chicago Rebels GM Dante Moretti, and team defenseman Cade Burnett. Cade Burnett is a closeted, gay professional hockey player who for personal reasons back home is unable to come clean to the people he loves, but meeting his hockey idol, former player and now Rebels GM Dante Moretti, the first openly gay GM in professional hockey, has Cade throwing caution to the wind when he approaches his ‘boss’ at an upscale gay club. What ensues is the building romance but secret relationship between Dante and Cade, and the potential fall-out when Cade comes out of the closet, only to be pushed aside by the man that he loves.

Dante Moretti knows what it is like to lose everything. Coming out cost him his family, his friends, and some of the people he loved. Cade Burnett knows that to come out while still actively playing with the Chicago Rebels may harm his career, but most especially may destroy his relationship with his father, back home. What he never expected was that his coming out would destroy his relationship with the man that he loved.

The relationship between Dante and Cade is one of mutual attraction but Dante doesn’t want Cade to come out unless he is ready to accept everything that goes along with coming out as a professional hockey player. Their secret relationship is threatened by Dante’s inability to accept Cade’s decision-a decision that should have made their relationship easier to accept. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

UNDONE BY YOU is a quick read; an emotional, sexy and fun story line; a forbidden romance between boss and employee; a sexual awakening for one man whose entire life remained hidden from the people he loved. The premise is entertaining and fast paced; the characters are colorful, dynamic and charismatic; the romance is seductive and provocative.

Irresistible temptation! With the next book in her deliciously steamy Chicago Rebels hockey series, Kate Meader brings us Dante and Cade's story. One is a successful leader, openly living his life regardless of what it cost him ... the other is a superstar on the ice, but hiding his heart and soul from the world. Both men have powerful stories that resonate with the reader throughout. The story line is fast paced and rich with sexual tension, strife and happily ever afters! Loved it!

Dante Moretti has worked hard for many years in the NHL and has recently landed his dream job of being the General Manager of the Chicago Rebels. He's riding high and living life, but a new city and new temptation is bringing a whole new whirlwind into play. He's the only openly gay executive in NHL, but ogling his new star defenseman isn't his brightest move!

Cade "Alamo" Burnett is as closeted as they come, but the draw he feels towards this sexy Italian may be just what he needs to go after what he wants for a change. He's lived his life achieving hockey glory while at the same time denying himself the freedom of being his true self. The feelings that Dante are making come alive show him what life can be like if he can just find the strength to reach out and grab it!

This book? Have it queued up and ready to read on release day because it is truly stunning. Kate Meader has created that is of course funny and downright hot (one of the heroes is named Dante after all), but Undone By You also packs quite the emotional punch that melt even the coldest of hearts.

Heartfelt, seductive and downright fervent!

Undone by You is an engrossing, passionate sports romance that features the closeted, fun-loving Cade, and the handsome, mature Dante as they engage in a love affair strife with issues of age disparity, impropriety, hidden sexuality, and the stigma and stereotypical mentality surrounding professional sports.

The prose is titillating and sincere. The characters are well-drawn, appealing, and genuine. And the plot is a provocative tale full of explosive attraction, unquenchable lust, sizzling chemistry, family drama, friendship, support, acceptance, hockey, and love.

I didn't think it was possible for this series to get any better but I stand corrected. Undone by You is emotional, tender, tantalizing, and absolutely dynamite and it has without a doubt left me counting down the days until the next novel in the series, Hooked on You, Violet's story is available!

Dante Moretti the new openly gay General Manager of the Chicago Rebels has achieved a lot in his life but not without some suffering. Rising star hockey defenseman Texan Cade Burnett has a promising career ahead of him. When closeted Cade acts on his attraction to Dante the sparks fly but can their secrets hold back what their hearts desire?

Once readers meet Dante and Cade they are going to fall uncontrollably, madly and completely in love with them! Kate Meader uses all her love smarts in Undone By You, book three in her Chicago Rebel's series, and covers everything from steamy to cuddles as this pair confronts their attraction. Dante was a wonderful blend of sexy and sophisticated while Cade was endearingly sweet with just the right amount of naughty. Their chemistry was apparent from the start of this book making for one sexy heartfelt journey. Ms. Meader fills the pages of this work with her sassy mix of humor and angst for the perfect reading experience. Ultimately many things were covered in this book but if it were to be labeled it was a love story and who doesn't adore a great romance!

I was actually pleasantly surprised by this story. My chief complaint about it was that it was on the short side, which meant that things got rather glossed over. I loved the push and pull of the relationship between Cade and Dante, and especially loved how they complemented each other. I felt that Dante had his head up his arse for a lot of the story, but absolutely loved how he pulled things out in the end! I thought it was good to see what was going on with Cade and Violet as it was the perfect set up for the next book in the series, which I can't wait to read!

I loved this so much! Undone by You was an easy story for me to get lost in, there were so many great moments between Cade and Dante, I just read and absorbed it all, totally enjoying every detail. It was so sweet, heartfelt, and emotional. A fantastic read!

I loved Cade, this sweet lovable Texan who always wears a smile. I enjoyed his journey and everything he went through. Dante was awesome as well. Tough and stoic but I loved seeing the man behind the suit and his dynamic personality. I thought Cade and Dante had great chemistry, I enjoyed their flirty moments, the push and pull they had, and I loved watching them come together. I adored how playful Cade could be, challenging Dante and Dante fighting his feelings. It made for so many entertaining scenes that left me smiling. And the heat? Oh my!!! These two were seriously hot together!

The writing was excellent. I love how the timeline overlaps with the previous book, So Over You. If you haven't read it you won't be lost but if you have, there are a ton of fun Easter eggs. I loved all the characters and the Chase sisters. I love the relationship that Cade and Violet have and the foreshadowing for the next story, Hooked On You. Violet is a breath of fresh air and I am so excited for what’s to come in her book.

Kate Meader is a go-to author for me and the Chicago Rebel's series has quickly become a favorite of mine. This is a shorter story but it's packed full of goodness and it’s a was wonderful addition to the series. I totally fell in love with both these guys and am thrilled how it all played out.

I don’t read many m/m romances, but I love Kate Meader’s So Over You, the previous book in this series, I knew I wanted to give this a chance. I was not disappointed. Cade and Dante were smoking hot together, and this romance was full of steamy hookups, and tender moments.

Dante a retired NHL player and now the general manager of the Chicago Rebels, the team Cade plays in. Dante finds Cade seriously hot, but completely off limits since first, he’s not gay and second, Cade’s his subordinate. When Dante is having a drink at a low key gay club, Cade shows up looking irresistible and Dante sees the vultures circling. Of course, Dante’s going to step in, not because he doesn’t want anyone else having Cade (yeah, right, lol) but because this could be a PR nightmare for the team.

Cade hasn’t come out, but Dante is just too tempting to resist. Dante shows Cade the life he could have if he had the courage to come out, but he’s not sure it’s a risk he can take. Also, coming out isn’t the only roadblock to their relationship, since Dante’s job could be on the line if they expose their affair.

This is a quick read with only about 147 pages, but Kate Meader manages to make it a fulfilling romance, with characters fully fleshed out, and very likable. Yes, this is a romance that’ll make you hot and bothered with playful, sexy banter and sizzling sexy times, but one that made you care for the characters future happiness.

In between Dante and Cade’s romance we get a glimpse of Violet and Bren’s upcoming romance next in line, and I’m so looking forward to it! I do love a sexy Scot, so bring it on!

Let me start off this review with if you aren't into m/m romance then this won't be your cup of tea. For those who don't mind it then you don't want to miss Undone by You.

This is such a wonderfully written romance between Cade and Dante. The author does a great job of pulling you into their story and keeping you there. I really wanted, no, needed to read their story. Once I started it I was hooked.

I really liked how the author handled how Cade handled being gay and admitting it. You really felt for him. There is nothing like the right guy to make you come to terms with who you are.

I really liked Dante from the time he was introduced as a character and was so happy he found happiness. You so badly want him too.

Undone by You is a wonderful story that is the perfect mix of romance and life. You will find yourself invested in their relationship, hoping for the best. Since this is a novella this is the perfect book to add your toe to the water. If you've always wanted to try m/m but wasn't sure, here is your story. If you want to try one it's best to do it with a story that's well written.

Of course don't forget to read the other books in the series. They are great too!

Sometimes you read a book that is just so amazing that it is hard to put into words how much you love it and that is exactly how I feel about Kate Meader’s Undone By You. I will say I had my suspicions in the previous two books about Cade “Alamo” Burnett and his possible love match and I’m so pleased I was right. A bit of a May-December gay romance between a star defenseman for the Chicago Rebels and the team’s General Manager made this an exciting, intoxicating, and sexy story. I loved every minute of this book!

I do love a man on a mission and Cade Burnett did exactly what he needed to do to get Dante Moretti to not only notice him, but be aware that Cade was very much playing for the same team. The determination, the want, the need…whew, just thinking about them together makes me want to grab a fan to cool myself off.

One man out of the closet, one man in but thinking about coming out, twelve years age difference, a world of difference in experience, but attraction and a bit of hero worship have them throwing caution to the wind despite the potential risk to their careers. I loved watching them navigate their secret affair and even the time they spent apart because it helped them to see that what they had was special. I have to give Dante a lot of credit for understanding what Cade needed and making it happen for him. I also appreciated that Cade let Dante’s bit of poor judgment go so there wasn’t a bunch of unnecessary drama.

While there is no doubt this book has a fairy tale feel with everything working out pretty easily, that just made me love it more. Undone by You was a perfect title for this book because there was no doubt these two men were completely undone by each other.

I enjoyed the taboo-ish relationship points as well as the open and honest relationship between Dante and Cade - it was refreshing to see them together. I also love "the family you make" type stories, they warm my heart! My only con would be the lack of actual hockey but honestly, I'm okay with focusing this slightly longer than a novella, novella focusing mainly on Cade and Dante sorting their stuff out!

(While this one can stand on its own, it does run parallel to So Over You, which adds a little extra fun for returning readers. The few references to the previous book make more sense if you’ve read it, but I don’t think that they will matter much to newbies or impact their reading pleasure.)

I couldn’t be happier with the story-line Meader gave these two! Cade is a big ball of awesome fun but it’s obvious there is more to him than what he wants people to see. And I have been so curious about Dante since he first showed up – all suave and debonair. They may seem like an unlikely pair but the tension between them hints at something more.

Dante has worked hard to get where he is in the NHL – the first openly gay GM of a professional hockey team. Running into one of his star players in a gay club, and being propositioned by said player, is definitely not good for his professional goals … regardless of how unbelievably sexy he finds Cade. Unfortunately there’s something about him that Dante just can’t ignore.

Cade is this appealing mix of brash confidence and uncertainty. He’s young and seems to have the world at his feet, but he’s hiding a pretty big secret. So far he’s been successful at keeping his love-life private but an instantaneous and overwhelming attraction to his new GM complicates things immensely. He may not have thought he was ready to make some tough decisions but life seems to have other plans.

Meader does such a fantastic job of balancing Dante’s gay yogi with growth moments. While he is older and has had more time being publicly gay, it doesn’t mean that he has the answer for everything. Instead, there’s this fantastic give and take between the two as Cade faces life choices (and they are big ones!) which has Dante evaluating his past and his future.

Cade and Dante might think that they can play with fire and not get burned but we know better :) Instead, the more time they spend together and the deeper their feelings grow, the more complications they’ll have to overcome. Steamy and sweet, with fabulous characters and heartfelt emotions, Undone By You beautifully highlights that just because you don’t want your heart to get involved doesn’t mean that it won’t.

Dante is the GM of the Chicago Rebels. He is out as being gay and the owners of the team do not care. Cade is one of his players and is not ready to come out. Together the form a relationship while struggling to deal with their own issues.
As much as I like this series I was looking for a little more out of this book. I had a few spots that I felt myself skimming over and they did not hold my interest. With that said I am still looking forward to reading more in this series.

Who needs sleep when you have this gem sitting on your Kindle? I've been looking forward to this book since I finished the last one.

If there is one thing Ms. Meader can do, it’s write hot and steamy love stories and this one is no exception. However, it’s not the only thing she can do. She takes the reader on a journey, be it the beginning a new relationship, taking on a job where there's bound to be conflict, and the ultimate, how do you tell your parent that you're gay?

I think the reveal could have been shown in greater depth, but the emotions portrayed by all involved were genuine and accurate. The way that Cade's father not only listened to Dante but talked to him about Cade, is something that went along way to re-establishing the bond between two.

Everyone's life is a journey, and a lot of those steps are into the unknown, uncharted waters. However, with family beside you, the journey is a lot smoother. Family is not only what you are born into, it’s those you surround yourself with.

M/M Sports romance

Cade is a great defenseman who loves hockey. He also knows that his secret needs to be kept in order to maintain his family life. When Cade's mom found out that he was gay, she didn't handle it well. Ever since, he's had a great relationship with his father and he doesn't want to change that. He and his dad are all they have left.

Dante is the only openly gay GM in the hockey league and he's worked through a lot to get where he is. While he's attracted to Cade, he also knows that the illusion of impropriety can make or break a career. He doesn't want to jeopardize where he is. Dante's parents are less than welcoming of his gay status, however, his siblings are okay with it.

When Cade and Dante start their affair, neither is really wanting forever. However, as you watch their relationship and attraction grow, you know that someone's feelings are going to get involved. Cade realizes that he can have everything he's ever wanted, but he first needs to come clean with his dad. Dante realizes that despite his position in the franchise, he too can have more than what he's hoped for.

The family dynamic on the team, between Dante and Cade, and between Cade and his dad are all woven together beautifully. I really liked how everyone communicated and stood up for each other. This book was full of emotion, conflict, and a resolution that wasn't too unbelievable.

This is the third book in the series – and the third I have awarded five stars – they really are just that good! I highly recommend that you read them in order. This one is set (in my mind) at the same time as the second book, as we get the reveal of that book in this one too. There are also more hints as to what book four will bring us, although we know many facets of Violet's life, so it will be extra special seeing how she also finds peace and love in her life.

Much has been made of the three sisters who inherit a NHL team when their father dies, and their choice of an openly gay GM gives them even more notoriety. This book deals with his romance... with a player. Given that two of the sisters also fall in love with members of the team, it is hardly surprising, but the plot is beautifully developed.

Dante, the GM and an ex-NHL player himself, is described as an extremely desirable man, so it is no real surprise to find that closeted Cade has been in lust with him since he was a teenager. That Cade finds the nerve to make a move is the start of a relationship that is utterly enchanting, incredibly hot, and inevitably messy and complicated. Ms. Meader leads us through the unfolding story in such a way that it is very difficult to not just keep turning the pages.

I highly recommend this series to you, especially if you enjoy sports romances, but really if you just enjoy a well written story! Thank you, Ms. Meader, and I do hope that you are busy writing Violet's story, as I cannot wait!

This is such a fabulous series! This time around, the focus is on the Rebels’ sexy general manager and the player who catches his attention. This is a steamy, sexy read. Dante is wonderful fantasy material and Cade’s laid-back Texas charm plays wonderfully against Dante’s stern professionalism.

Closeted hockey players are becoming a slightly tired m/m trope but the banter and chemistry between Dante and Cade make this feel fresh and fun. The hockey action is as exciting as always. In this story, time is running out for the team to make the playoffs and the tension is high. The Chase sisters are all present in this book and Cade’s relationship with Violet means that we finally get to see more of her and get to understand her a little bit better.

I’ve loved this series from the start and I’m so glad that the author chose to include an m/m story. And while Cade and Dante are crazy hot together, I think I might have enjoyed their friendship and emotional connection even more than the sex. This is a shorter story than others in the series, but both of these men are wonderfully complicated, and I loved every moment of their book.

This was such a passionate and emotional love story. I've been really enjoying this series and Meader has created a great set of characters in the Chicago Rebels world. Dante and Cade are no different. Both of these men would have made great sexy traditional heros but I love how Meader saw that they were meant for each other rather than one of the sisters or a female character. I don't generally read M/M romances but this had me sucked in from the first page. This could easily be read as a stand alone but I strongly recommend for anyone who loves Kate Meader, even if it is a different type of book than you would usually read.

Chicago Rebels #3, We take a break from the the daughters of Clifford Chase and bring you the sexy Chicago Rebels GM Dante Moretti and the All Star Defenseman Cade Burnett. Kate Meader hooked her writers claws into me with her Hot in Chicago series and like that series there is also one M/M romance in the series and this is it. I'm usually not one for M/M romance except in cases like this it's part of a series and I have previously been introduced to them, like them and Meader has hinted to the romance and I am rooting for them even before the book starts. Way to many times I've picked up a M/M romance and just hated the characters and the plot. This one much like her other, Melting Point, is so hot. It's a little longer than your typical novella it feels like a full length book with as much stuff is in it the relationship development and the conflict and the sex scenes so yummy, this is a very fulfilling novella.

Cade is freakin' adorable, he's still in the closet and has had a crush on Dante since he was a teenager and Dante was still playing hockey professionally. (There is about a decade age difference between the two). Dante has been open about his homosexuality for years now, even though it ruined his relationship with his parents he couldn't keep lying about who he really was any more. This book runs pretty much parallel with So Over You the second book of the series but it can be read as a stand alone if needed.

The beginning of the book we find Dante in a private club and he sees Cade there. Dante has two feelings, joy for the fact that Cade is gay and two worry for the potential media circus if it gets out. Cade knew Dante frequented that club and got himself an invite so he could "run into" Dante there and well you know. Dante instead acts the responsible one and has already planned an explanation incase Cade is discovered there, even though his insides are jumping for joy that Cade just hit on him. Dante tries to keep it professional between them but the lure of Cade is too much for him to resist. Dante and Cade start something and keep quiet about it but when Cade starts to wonder about finally coming out Dante worries about the backlash not just with media and the fans, people will claim Dante "turned" him gay but mostly Dante worries about the relationship Cade has with his Dad. Dante doesn't want Cade to come out just for him and is willing to ruin the relationship if he has too.

Overall, Dante and Cade story was a great one. It was sweet, hot, and an emotional rollercoaster ride; and it has a really good lead up to the next book Hooked On You.

Dante is the first openly gay manager in professional hockey and he knows he deserves the position but it doesn’t stop people from talking. He has a good relationship with the three owners of the team however one of the conditions for them to retain ownership is that the Chicago Rebels must make the playoffs and any disruption to the chemistry of the team could destroy their chances.

Cade is the outgoing defenseman of the Rebels. He keeps his sexuality firmly under wraps as he doesn’t want to hurt his dad and doesn’t want to be treated differently by his teammates but he is unable to deny his attraction to Dante.

He decides to go to a gay club when he knows Dante is going to be there and when Dante sees him there he agrees to counsel Cade on the consequences of going public. They are unable to deny their intense chemistry towards one another and a relationship begins but will the secrets they needs to keep as well as the complications of the boss/employee relationship ever allow it to be more than casual?

Although they are at very different places in their life they fit and their journey to find the path that worked for them both individually and as a couple showed the deep connection between them. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.

The Chicago Rebels have set the sports world aflame by thriving despite all indications to the contrary when the season first started. As two of the three sisters who own the team have found love and played out their love stories on the ice, and in the press it's time for the author to turn her sights to the difficult subject of a M/M romance. Are all gay men gorgeous? Dante Moretti definitely is with his sharply pressed suits and gorgeous good looks as he dominates the stage as the general manager of the team. There's a lot riding on this season. The team must make the finals to survive. He definitely can't let his lust for defenseman Cade Burnett take the focus away from winning. Then Cade shows up at a gay night club that Dante patronizes and that's all she wrote.
Cade is deeply in the closet and afraid to acknowledge his desires. Yet he shows up at Dante's club with the intent to seduce Dante. The author leads us through Cade's desires, choices and dilemma with a rare sensitivity while delivering a beautiful love story. While I am not normally a fan of M/M their romance is hot and emotional and hit all the right notes for me as a reader.
The dilemma and choices that face a gay pro-athlete are addressed with a rare sensitivity as the love story plays out between the two guys. It's not all sweet and light and smooth sailing but all in all this book is a not to missed addition to the series.
I can't wait for the last sister to find her love story and yet I am sad that it will mean the end of a fantastic series.

I have enjoyed all the books in this series so far, and this one did not disappoint! Cade and Dante were amazing together. The buildup to these two that we saw a little bit of in previous books definitely came through here and the story was well written as always by this author. I would have liked it even better if it were not a novella, but it is definitely worth the read and I can't wait for the final book in the series.

I am so in love with the Chicago Rebels series!! While reading So Over You, I was dying for Dante's story. So buttoned up, so mysterious, I needed to know more about him!

Dante is the recently hired, openly gay general manager for the Chicago Rebels. Working for three women who are breaking barriers in every way possible and trying to turn this team around to be winners leaves no time for relationships. Cade has always kept his orientation under wraps but when Dante joins the Rebels, he's ready to take some risks so that he pursue his idol.

This book was funny, hot, and had a dose of angst. I loved the camaraderie of the team anyhow they completely rally around their own no matter what the circumstance. I am so excited for the next book in this series!!
