What is Wormwood? That's what Rob Soliz and Frank Pierce must find out as they look for Katrina, the daughter of the Mayor of Dallas who has gone missing. This is a fast paced buddy-cop procedural that has twists and turns but never goes too dark even as the fate of young women who have disappeared becomes clear. THere's good dialogue between Rob and Frank- I'm looking forward to seeing more of them- and the plot is equally nicely done. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

Good read. I really enjoyed the partnership between Frank and Rob, and the scenes with Sarge. This book has humor, intrigue and a little bit of sex appeal. I liked how the book went back and forth between the perspective of the investigators and the abductees. This story has some intense, on the edge of your seat scenes. Definitely, a page turner.

When the mayor of Dallas’s teenage daughter disappears, detectives Rob Soilz and Frank Pierce are tasked with finding her. The family wants the whole thing done very quietly, they believe the girl is off having a good time somewhere. But Rob and Frank aren’t so sure, especially after they follow an obscure clue found in a Bible in the girl’s car to a vagrant arrested in the area years before. Their search takes them deep into the backwaters of Texas and other missing blonde girls. There is a slight chance some of them may still be alive, but Soliz and Pierce will have to work fast if they want to pull off a miracle. This is Enmon’s debut novel and it’s absolutely riveting, The police background information, character development and intricate mystery are meticulous. I’m already looking forward to his next book
