3.5 stars

I kinda forgot that I was reading this during Christmas because....other books....

but ANYWAY,

the story is short and sweet. Very much a fan of the hot chemistry between Vaughn and Devynn and all their sexy times, though I didn't really understand why the Conflict about Vaughn being a big country singer-songwriter was a Big Deal. Super adore the big Grey family; probs gonna check out the Grey cousins' stories next.

This is a sweetly quirky Christmas romance. Devyn's extreme man-crazy mom wants her to throw a birthday bash for her 50th birthday and invite her exes. This includes her own dad and another ex who the mom almost married, and he had a son, Vaughn. Devyn and Vaughn weren't friendly as teens, but sparks are flying now. The longer they are together, the more healing comes to the two main characters. The story is fun and wacky. You can't help feel for Devyn and all she has had to put up with over the years with her mother. Vaughn comes to care for her and just wants to protect his father from hurt like the first time he was with her mom. And even though he is a successful writer in Nashville, love finds a way for them to have that HEA. What a fun story!

I must say this is an unusual Christmas story. Devyn is invited to her mother Christmas / birthday celebration. And her mother invited all her family and the previous lover to celebrate with her. Among the men who come to celebrate is also her almost stepbrother Vaughn. The one that she had once had secretly crush. Vaughn had too sacred crushed one her had and a few whiskey later they end up together in a hotel room where they literally burn down the sheets. I liked the story both Vaughn and Devyn. What was for me a bit disturbing was all the writing about Devyn's family members and their gossiping about other family members. But all in all, sweet Christmas story that I enjoyed reading.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Both Devyn and her almost step brother Vaughn are quirky, lovable and fun together. Even though they both doubt themselves and are times lost about what they want, they finally realize what is it they want out of life. They have fantastic chemistry between the two. Megan Crane is successful in providing the readers a very good Christmas experience

If you're looking for a fun, undemanding Christmas read then this is for you. I liked the characters and the fact that they understood themselves and realised where some of their behaviour came from. So, an edge of realism in an otherwise escapist piece of writing. And who doesn't need a bit of escapism sometimes?

Another fun romance from the people of Marietta, Montana. This one is set in Jackson Hole, WY during Christmas. Devyn's mother Melody is celebrating her 50th birthday, by inviting all her ex-boyfriends to the party. When Devyn shows up, she is met at the airport by her almost step-brother Vaughn, who is super hot of course. Sparks fly, and eventually turn to passion. A lot of stories going around, and lots of activities make for a fun and quick read. Truly enjoyed this one, and highly recommend it. Wish they had more normal names, but otherwise a good story and series.

A fun Christmas romance. What do you do when you Mom invites all of her exs to her Christmas birthday party, you fall for your almost stepbrother, of course!

Even though this is a book within a series it is great read on its own.
Melody has invited all her exes to her 50th birthday party just after Christmas. sparks fly when her daughter Devyn meets the man who, 10 years ago, was almost her step brother.
Family drama, snow and Christmas!

Have Yourself A Crazy Little Christmas made me all kinds of happy as a reader in general – and as a follower of the Greys throughout all the various “series” their stories have been a part of. It was, frankly, pretty amazing to get to catch up with so many familiar faces, even if they weren’t in Marietta, Montana for this particular Christmas celebration. Anyone knows that whenever the Grey relations get together there’s going to be some kind of a party involved even if it’s a simple welcome home celebration.

Watching her mother go through life chasing that elusive love of a life time in her slightly flighty, crazy manner has made Devyn the woman she is today – dependable, stable and she never, ever colors outside the lines. Now Melody is planning a huge 50th birthday celebration for herself the day after Christmas, and she’s inviting all of her ex-boyfriends, ex-husbands or simply ex-lovers along for the ride. It’s up to Devyn and her sister, Sydney, to do the honors of putting this shindig together and their mother somewhat in line – except, once again, Sydney’s top secret Washington job means she won’t get here at the same time as Devyn. And that is annoying and typical but Devyn moves forward. The absolute last person she expected to run into at the airport was Vaughn Taylor – the almost step sibling from the years Melody and her daughters lived with Vaughn’s father. They never married so Vaughn was never a true stepbrother but close enough. They’d both been teenagers around that time, and even then the heat between them was apparent even if it came off as dislike and scorn. Where’s there’s smoke the saying goes… and the smoke was billowing even back then.

Vaughn was in Jackson, Wyoming for one purpose – to insure that his father doesn’t fall under Melody’s magical spell once again. He has nothing against Melody really just that she’s not the woman for his father. What he hadn’t counted on was the spark of heat at seeing Devyn again. Or the instant need to brand her as his. Hell, he wrote country songs about this kind of feeling but hadn’t expected to be on this end of those words. Somehow through this crazy holiday week he’ll find a way to test those feelings… and he’s not really prepared for the answers he’s going to find.

I had such fun with Have Yourself A Crazy Little Christmas. Not only did I get to touch base with some favorite couples of my reading past, but got to add another couple to that list. Devyn and Vaughn were simply amazing together. Yes, at times frustrating until they got themselves sorted out. But they were indeed magical together. I absolutely adored Devyn’s father. The moment he appeared on page I was hooked and kept seeing Sam Elliot every time he appeared… the hair, the voice, the self-assured man in his own skin that he portrayed. And I’m really waiting now for Sydney’s story. She has her own demons to fight I’ll be waiting to meet the man who can ease her heart. In all, I had a great time and I believe you would as well. I’d definitely recommend this story or any and all of the other Grey romances. You’ll find solid stories, interesting characters and unique situations. Exactly why I read Romance.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

When you’re known as the dependable one in a crazy family, it can be a little stifling and a whole lotta annoying.

Devyn’s mom, Melody, wants to give herself a 50th birthday party and wants to invite all he family – including the men she’s loved, lost or tossed out. That mix included the step children she had or could have had.
One of those almost step kids is country songwriter and singer Vaughn Taylor – a man who never considered Devyn his almost stepsister and still doesn’t now that she’s a heartstopping adult.

For her part, Devyn views her almost stepbrother as a little dangerous, a little forbidden, and a whole lotta sexy.

While the party plans swell, so too does the attraction between these two.

I was given an ARC form NEtgalley of this book for an honest opinion. It’s a cute little Christmas romance, well worth the read.

Thoroughly enjoyed this story, full laugh out moments that will keep you turning the pages. Devyn has returned to Wyoming to help her mom celebrate her 50th birthday, with all the craziness of Grey family. When she runs into Vaughn Taylor, a Nashville songwriter and once her almost stepbrother. Vaughn is there to protect his father's heart from Devyn's mother once again. The desires are still there between the two and the sparks will fly but will it last?

Loved these characters, great chemistry. The quirkiness of this family is the best! I highly recommend for a fun holiday romance.

I’ve loved reading stories based in Marietta, Montana and jumped at the chance to read this one which features to family which owns one of the iconic businesses there, the Greys. This story is actually based in Jackson instead of Marietta because that is where Melody lives and plans to host her fiftieth birthday celebrations. She’s invited all the family - and all of her exes! What a recipe for drama. Her two daughters have been called in to support her in this and she’s used to them taking over organising things for her when she’s had enough. Her eldest daughter is Devyn Voss and she’s the one who usually calms things down and can be relied on to schedule everything.

When Devyn arrives at the airport the first person she meets is her handsome almost stepbrother, Vaughn Taylor. As a teenager, when their parents lived together, the two were anything but friendly - there was lots of teasing and sparks flew between them. Now, however, the sparks are definitely ones of attraction! They haven’t seen each other for years and many things have changed - is this their time? Can Vaughn breakdown the barriers between them to help Devyn stop being so ‘sensible’  and live a little? He’s determined to make the most of the opportunities provided by this family gathering, whilst also endeavouring to stop his father hooking up with Melody again.

With so many ex partners around, together with all of Melody’s extended family, this won’t be your typical family gathering! Get ready for plenty of drama in this fun, festive read - which has a swoon worthy ending!

I requested and received a copy of this novel, via NetGalley. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.

I adore Megan Crane’s books - sweet but often with a bit of an edge. This one introduces the idea of a forbidden stepbrother romance - here almost stepbrother - in a gentle and very non threatening way which even sensitive readers should be fine with. Devyn and Vaughn secretly liked each other a decade earlier when their parents were engaged though they didn’t act like it then! Thrown together for Devyn’s freespirit mom’s holiday birthday bash with her old boyfriends, the spark between them ignites. Through the mishaps and misunderstandings they eventually find their way to each other. Nice to see many of the Grey family and catch up with them as well - and watch out for Devyn’s dad - a biker with an iron will and a heart of gold.

I just loved Have Yourself a Crazy Little Christmas! Megan Crane gets better and better at telling romance stories in a way that has readers completely immersed in them. This one is a bit of a twist on the friends to lovers trope as Vaughn and Devyn came close to being step-siblings ten years before this story takes place. Mind you they were hardly friends at the time.
My heart went out to Devyn, the heroine of this story as she braced herself for juggling the challenges of organising her mother’s 50th birthday party at Christmas. Devyn’s mother, by the way, is one of the ditsiest women I’ve come across in a book in a long, long time. She heads a stellar caste of secondary characters, all of whom managed to keep me guessing as to which direction the story would take next.
This story matches its title really well and kept me amused throughout. It’s light and thoroughly entertaining. One of my favourite aspects of the story was the brilliantly written sex scenes, which worked superbly to convey the emotional pull between Devyn and Vaughn. I also liked the way Megan Crane used setting to convey the mood of the story at different stages along the way.
All in all I found lots to like about this book. It’s on my keeper shelf.

Not having read any of the Greys of Montana, I did feel as though I was missing something when I started Have Yourself A Crazy Little Christmas. Obviously as this is book 5 of the series, there were characters I should have already met and events that I probably should have been privy to.

That said, it was a great Christmas story that will warm the hardest heart.

I truly enjoyed Have Yourself A Crazy Little Christmas by Megan Crane, the fifth book in The Greys of Montana series. Devyn Voss is uptight and needs control in her life after years of cleaning up her mother’s messes. This Christmas offers her a huge challenge as her mother, wanting to find love, has invited all of her exes to celebrate her 50th birthday. Devyn has her hands full with all the testosterone and posturing in the room. What Devyn didn’t expect was having her almost stepbrother show up, the gorgeous Vaughn Taylor, a Nashville songwriter. Vaughn came to the party to support his dad, yet if he happens to see his beautiful ex-stepsister, all the better. Once these two re-connect all bets are off as they re-discover what they each really want and what they can handle.

I really enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down, reading it in one day. I loved how close the Grey family is as well as supportive of each other. Ms. Crane is a wonderful story teller and she always draws me into her books, making me forget the world around me. I highly recommend this book to other readers.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
